It can be used both for pigment, adhesive, as well as for remover or primer.
The cups have their own stand and stand alone on the work surface.
The 8 mm flat-base ink caps are compact and precise consumables specially designed for fine detail work, microblading, micropigmentation, and tattoos requiring small, precisely controlled amounts of ink. With a diameter of just 8 millimeters, these miniature ink caps are ideal for artists who prefer working with minimal pigment quantities, reducing waste and ensuring constant ink freshness. The black material color reduces light reflections and provides excellent visual contrast with inks of any color, facilitating rapid and accurate pigment identification. The flat base ensures stability on the work surface even at this reduced size, eliminating the need for additional support. Manufactured from superior quality plastic, these single-use ink caps meet the hygienic standards required in the industry. The 8 mm size makes them perfect for fine line work, meticulous details, and small tattoos where the required ink quantity is minimal. Micropigmentation and microblading artists prefer them due to the small volume that prevents premature pigment drying during the procedure. The smooth interior surface facilitates uniform ink pickup on needles and prevents bubble formation. The package contains 100 pieces, ensuring a generous stock for multiple sessions. They are used exclusively once and disposed of after each client according to hygiene protocols. Compatible with all types of tattoo and micropigmentation inks and pigments. Securing them to the work surface with Magic Tape adhesive strips for additional stability during work is recommended.
Frequently Asked Questions
What are 8 mm ink caps recommended for?
The 8 mm ink caps are recommended for fine detail work, thin lines, small tattoos, microblading, and micropigmentation. The reduced size allows using minimal ink quantities, preventing waste and ensuring pigment freshness throughout the procedure.
Why are the 8 mm ink caps black?
The black color of the ink caps reduces light reflections and provides superior visual contrast with inks of any color. This facilitates rapid and precise pigment identification, being particularly useful when working with subtle or similar shades. The contrast also helps evaluate the remaining ink quantity.
How much ink fits in an 8 mm cap?
An 8 mm cap can hold approximately 0.3-0.5 ml of ink. This quantity is sufficient for fine detail work and short lines. For shading or fills, using larger 14 or 15 mm ink caps that offer superior volume is recommended.
Are 8 mm ink caps suitable for beginners?
The 8 mm ink caps are suitable for both beginners and professionals. For beginners, the main advantage is reduced ink waste since only the necessary amount is used. However, for medium and large works, beginners might prefer 14-15 mm caps that require less frequent refilling.
How are small 8 mm ink caps secured to the work surface?
Due to their reduced size, securing 8 mm ink caps with Magic Tape adhesive strips on the work surface covered with protective film is recommended. This method prevents accidental displacement during work. Alternatively, they can be used in ink cap holders with small-sized holes.
Are 8 mm ink caps compatible with micropigmentation pigments?
Yes, 8 mm ink caps are perfectly compatible with all micropigmentation and microblading pigments. Their reduced size is actually preferred by micropigmentation artists because it prevents premature pigment drying and allows precise control of the quantity used during the procedure.
What advantages does the small 8 mm size offer?
The 8 mm size offers multiple advantages: minimal ink waste, constant pigment freshness due to the small quantity that doesn't dry quickly, reduced workspace footprint allowing organization of more colors simultaneously, and superior control of the ink quantity used.
How many 8 mm ink caps are needed for a microblading session?
For a typical microblading session, between 2 and 5 ink caps of 8 mm are needed, depending on the number of colors used and the complexity of the procedure. A set of 100 pieces covers an artist's needs for approximately 20-50 microblading sessions.
Do the black 8 mm ink caps leave color traces on the ink?
No, the black 8 mm ink caps are made from mass-colored plastic, meaning the black pigment is integrated into the material structure. There is no risk of color transfer from the cap to the ink. The ink color remains pure and unaffected throughout use.
Can I order 8 mm ink caps in colors other than black?
Currently, the 8 mm flat-base ink caps are available in the black variant, which is the most popular due to the excellent visual contrast it provides. For other sizes such as 14 mm and 15 mm, transparent variants are available. The color choice depends on the artist's personal preference.
