Description
Marker Tombow Dark Green
The Dual Brush Pen cartridges from Tombow have a very flexible and fine elastic brush tip. Both tips are fed from the same cough tank, ensuring the same shade regardless of the tip used. With the brush tip you can get modulated lines from thin to thick by changing the pressure of the tip on the paper. The fine tip is ideal for lines with the same consistency, outlines, letters, templates, etc.
The paint used is water-based, odorless, non-toxic and acid-free, which can also be used as watercolor. These markers do not pass to the other side of the paper in most cases. If you soak the tips in water, you can get lavas.
You can mix several shades to get new ones, which are not found in the color range. For this purpose, apply a few shades on a glossy, non-porous surface (special sheets for mixing markers or ceramics, CDs) and then mix with a brush and water or a special blender.
The body of the marker has a special design to prevent rolling, 20 cm long and the cap colored in different shades for easy selection during work.
The Tombow 277 Dark Green marker is a professional art instrument from the celebrated Tombow Dual Brush Pen series, widely adopted by tattoo artists for design preparation and creating detailed color sketches. Color 277 Dark Green offers a rich, deep dark green shade, perfect for representing natural elements such as leaves, tropical plants, snakes, and botanical elements that are extremely popular in contemporary tattoo art. The Tombow Dual Brush Pen features two tips: a flexible brush tip that allows line thickness variations through simple pressure modification, and a rigid fine tip for precise details and consistent lines. The water-based ink is non-toxic, acid-free, and odorless, making it safe for studio environment use. Tombow pigment quality ensures vibrant, consistent colors that do not fade over time on paper, allowing artists to create durable design portfolios. In the tattoo process, Tombow markers are used to visualize the chromatic palette on sketches before skin application, helping clients understand the final vision. The Japanese brand Tombow has over 100 years of experience in premium writing instruments. The water-based ink composition is formulated without organic solvents, making the marker safe for use in enclosed spaces without special ventilation. Tombow 277 Dark Green is a fundamental color in the palette of any artist working natural, jungle, tropical, or forest themes. Investing in a complete set of Tombow markers allows the artist to present clients with detailed color designs that communicate the final tattoo vision with remarkable accuracy and professional presentation quality.
Frequently Asked Questions
What makes Tombow markers special for tattoo work?
Tombow Dual Brush Pen markers are valued in tattooing for their flexible brush tip that mimics traditional brush movement. Water-based ink is non-toxic and allows color blending. The palette of over 100 colors enables artists to recreate virtually any chromatic palette in their sketches.
Can the Tombow marker be used directly on skin?
Tombow markers are primarily designed for paper and are not medically certified for direct skin use. Although the ink is non-toxic, the primary use in tattooing is for sketches and designs on paper. For skin marking, use markers specifically certified for skin contact.
What tattoo designs benefit from the Dark Green color?
Color 277 Dark Green is perfect for botanical, tropical, neo-traditional designs with natural elements, Japanese tattoos with leaves, snakes in natural settings, and any work requiring deep green. It is also used to suggest shadows in plant compositions.
How are Tombow colors blended together?
Tombow water-based colors blend easily on paper through overlapping while ink is still wet. You can use a Tombow blender pen for smooth transitions. The wet-on-wet technique produces the best blending results. Experiment on quality paper for optimal results.
How long does a Tombow marker last in professional use?
Lifespan depends on usage intensity. In daily professional use for sketches, a marker can last between 2-8 weeks. The brush tip is the first to wear. Tombow offers consistent ink throughout the marker's lifespan, without tone changes as it empties.
Are Tombow colors true to screen versus reality?
Tombow colors may vary slightly between digital representation and reality due to screen differences. Color 277 Dark Green in reality is a rich, deep dark green. We recommend purchasing an individual marker to test the color before investing in complete sets.
What paper is recommended for Tombow markers?
The ideal paper for Tombow is special marker paper or smooth Bristol paper of minimum 200g/m2. Paper that is too thin allows ink bleed-through to the back. Textured paper can affect color uniformity. Many tattoo artists use sketch pads specifically designed for water-based markers.
Does Tombow 277 match with other Tombow green shades?
Yes, Tombow 277 Dark Green combines excellently with other green shades from the Tombow palette such as 195 Light Green, 245 Sap Green, or 249 Hunter Green. Combining multiple green shades allows creating depth and dimensionality in botanical and landscape designs.
Can the marker be refilled?
No, Tombow Dual Brush Pen markers are not refillable. Once the ink runs out, the marker must be replaced. This ensures consistent ink quality throughout the marker's lifespan. Purchasing in larger quantities can reduce the per-unit cost.
How should I properly store Tombow markers?
Keep Tombow markers horizontal, with caps tightly closed, at room temperature, away from direct sunlight. Vertical storage can cause ink to pool at one end. Avoid extreme temperatures that can affect ink consistency. Sorting by color facilitates quick finding of the desired shade.
