Description
PMU Limited RL (Round Liner) cartridge needles are specialized needles for permanent micropigmentation (PMU) procedures, designed with the precision required for facial work — eyebrows, lip liner, and eyeliner. The Round Liner configuration arranges needles in an ultra-tight circular formation, optimized for fine lines and precise details on delicate facial skin. The needles are manufactured from high-quality stainless steel with an extra-polished finish to minimize trauma to facial skin, which is significantly more sensitive than body skin. The integrated safety membrane is essential in PMU, where contamination risk must be completely eliminated — procedures take place on the face, near eyes and mucous membranes. Ethylene oxide sterilization and individual packaging guarantee absolute safety. Compatible with PMU pen machines and standard tattoo pens with cartridge grip. The PMU Limited series offers accessibility without safety compromises for PMU technicians and artists offering micropigmentation services. Available in fine configurations from 1RL to 5RL, optimized for the precision needed in high-quality PMU procedures. The PMU Limited series is manufactured with particular attention to the specific requirements of facial micropigmentation — the needle finish is additionally polished to minimize micro-imperfections that cause discomfort on sensitive facial skin. Each cartridge complies with European regulations regarding single-use medical devices and is fully traceable through the batch number. Certified PMU technicians particularly appreciate the Limited series' consistency, which allows them to focus on technique without surprises caused by needle variability.
Frequently Asked Questions
What makes PMU Limited RL needles different from standard RL tattoo needles?
PMU Limited RL needles are specifically optimized for facial skin: the finish is extra-polished for minimal trauma, configurations are finer (1RL-5RL), and geometry is calibrated for superficial penetration into the facial dermis. Facial skin is 3-4 times thinner than body skin, requiring needles with adapted specifications.
What PMU procedures can I perform with PMU Limited RL?
With PMU Limited RL you can perform: eyebrow hair strokes (machine microblading), permanent eyeliner, lip liner, beauty marks, linear scalp micropigmentation, and corrections of previous PMU. 1RL and 3RL configurations are most used for hair strokes, while 3RL and 5RL are for lip liner.
Is PMU Limited RL compatible with common PMU pen machines?
Yes, PMU Limited RL is compatible with all PMU and tattoo pens that accept standard cartridges. It works with PMU pens like Biotek, Cheyenne Sol Nova, Glovcon, Kwadron PMU, and any other pen with standard cartridge grip. Ensure the pen allows precise needle exposure adjustment for PMU work.
What penetration depth do you recommend for PMU with Limited RL?
For PMU procedures with Limited RL, penetration depth should be between 0.5-1.2mm — significantly less than for body tattoos. Eyebrows require 0.5-0.8mm, lip liner 0.8-1.0mm, and eyeliner 0.6-0.8mm. Excessive penetration causes pigment migration and scarring on sensitive facial skin.
What pigments work best with PMU Limited RL?
PMU Limited RL works optimally with professional PMU pigments like Permablend, Li Pigments, BioTouch, PhiContour, or Tina Davies. These pigments are specifically formulated for facial skin with fine granulometry. Do not use regular tattoo ink for PMU — it has a different composition and can cause unpredictable migration on the face.
How many PMU Limited RL cartridges do I need for an eyebrow session?
For a complete PMU eyebrow session, plan for 2-3 PMU Limited RL cartridges. One cartridge is usually sufficient per eyebrow, but change it for each new brow for optimal performance. Always have a spare cartridge in case of imperfection or sharpness loss. Never reuse cartridges between clients.
Can PMU Limited RL be used for body tattoos?
Technically yes, but it is not recommended. PMU Limited RL has fine configurations (1RL-5RL) optimized for superficial penetration on facial skin. For body tattoos, where deeper penetration and more varied configurations are needed, use the standard Limited RL or Kwadron RL range covering the full range from 1RL to 14RL.
What voltage do you recommend for PMU with Limited RL?
For PMU with Limited RL, recommended voltage is between 4-7V — significantly lower than for body tattoos. Eyebrow hair strokes require 4-5.5V, lip liner 5-6.5V, and eyeliner 4.5-6V. Voltage should be adjusted based on the client's skin sensitivity and the visible skin response to the procedure.
What is the lifespan of a PMU Limited RL cartridge in a session?
A PMU Limited RL cartridge maintains optimal performance for approximately 30-60 minutes of continuous facial work. Facial skin is more delicate and needles lose sharpness faster due to contact with topical anesthesia products frequently used in PMU. Change the cartridge immediately when you notice a decrease in effectiveness.
Does PMU Limited RL require special certifications for use?
PMU Limited RL cartridges are certified for professional use according to European standards. However, practicing PMU requires separate professional certification of the technician — accredited micropigmentation course, hygiene and public health, and registration with local health authorities. The cartridge is an instrument; the certification is the operator's.
