What waste is collected in the 1-liter container?
All sharps and cutting objects: classic tattoo needles, used cartridges, microblading blades, cannulas, piercing needles and any other contaminated sharp object.
Is a 1-liter container enough for a tattoo studio?
For a small studio with one artist, the 1-liter container covers a few working days. For larger studios or higher volume, the 3 or 5-liter variant is recommended.
Is the container certified for transport?
Yes, the container is certified according to ADR standards for transporting hazardous medical waste on public roads. Certification is mandatory for legal handover to the collection company.
How is the container sealed after filling?
The container has a lid with a permanent closure system. When three-quarters full, the sealing mechanism is activated preventing reopening. Never fill above the maximum level mark.
Is it puncture resistant?
Yes, the rigid plastic construction resists puncture according to EN ISO 23907 standards. Needles cannot penetrate the container walls, ensuring safe handling.
Can I dispose of whole tattoo cartridges in the container?
Yes, the insertion opening is large enough to allow disposal of whole tattoo cartridges. No need to disassemble the cartridge, reducing the risk of needlestick injury.
What is the difference between 1, 3 and 5 liter containers?
The main difference is capacity. 1 liter for individual use or small studios, 3 liters for medium studios, 5 liters for large studios with multiple artists. All have the same certification and quality.
Can the container be reused after emptying?
No, sharps containers are strictly single-use. After sealing and handover to the collection company, they are disposed of together with their contents through incineration.
Where should the container be placed in the studio?
Place it on each artist's workstation, within reach but outside the sterile zone. It must be stable and accessible for immediate needle disposal after use.
What happens if I don't use a certified container?
Using non-certified containers for sharps waste is a violation and can result in fines from 5,000 to 20,000 lei. Additionally, the collection company may refuse to accept the waste.
