Guide & full description
Complete guide: Base Ink Bright White 30ml
A professional white tattoo ink in the 30ml format — the size preferred by many artists for their workstation. It is designed for highlights, light points, fine details and contrast effects, but also as a mixing base for pastel tones. The formula is vegan, the product comes sterile-packaged and is compliant with the European REACH 2022 regulation, making it suitable for artists working to current EU standards.
How to use
- Before use, check the seal, batch number and expiration date on the label — do not use the ink if the packaging appears compromised or the expiry has passed.
- Shake the bottle vigorously before each session to ensure the pigment is fully homogenised in the formula.
- Pour only the needed amount into disposable ink caps — never work directly from the bottle and never insert the needle into the original container.
- Close the cap immediately after pouring to prevent contamination and oxidation of the remaining ink.
- Use white for highlights and fine details, usually at the end of the tattoo, so it does not get contaminated by darker pigments already worked into the skin.
- For pastel tones, mix the white with the desired colour in a separate ink cap until you achieve the uniform shade you need.
- At the end of the session, discard all ink caps with leftover ink — used ink must never be poured back into the bottle.
- Store the bottle tightly closed in a cool place away from direct sunlight.
Tips from us
- Do not dilute the ink: it comes ready to use with already calibrated consistency. Dilution with water or unauthorised solutions can compromise its safety and performance.
- If the ink has thickened slightly in the bottle, shake vigorously for about 30 seconds; if it remains too thick, contact the supplier instead of improvising dilutions.
- Keep white for the final stage of the tattoo and change to clean ink caps and needles before highlighting — this way the white remains truly bright.
- It is also suitable for whip shading, for delicate transitions from white to the natural skin tone.
- If you frequently work on large pieces with large white areas, consider the larger formats in the range (120ml or 240ml); 30ml remains the practical choice for everyday use and for testing the range.
- Note the batch number of the bottle in the client‘s file — this is good traceability practice in any professional studio.
Frequently asked questions
What exactly is a white ink like this used for?▾
The main uses are highlights and light points that give volume to the tattoo, fine details, contrast effects and mixes: added over other colours, white creates pastel tones or lightens intense shades. It is also a good choice for whip shading, where it produces fine gradients towards the skin tone.
Does it need to be diluted before use?▾
No. It comes ready to use, with a consistency optimised for smooth flow through the tattoo machine. Just shake the bottle well and pour the required amount into an ink cap. Do not add water or other solutions — you can compromise both the performance and the safety of the ink.
How do I store the ink to prevent contamination after opening?▾
Always work from disposable ink caps, not directly from the bottle, and never pour leftover ink back into the container. Close the cap immediately after pouring, handle the bottle with clean gloves and store it closed in a cool place away from sunlight. Check the expiration date on the label before each use.
Can I mix it with other colours or with inks from other brands?▾
Within the Base Ink range it mixes evenly with all shades — that is exactly what it is designed for: pastels and lightening intense colours. As a general rule for the category, it is safest to mix inks from the same range because they have compatible formulas; if you do combine different brands, first test the mix in an ink cap and follow each manufacturer‘s recommendations.
Is the 30ml bottle enough or should I go for a larger one?▾
For regular use — highlights, details, pastel mixes — the 30ml format is sufficient for multiple sessions and is the most practical on the workstation. For a large tattoo with extensive white areas, a 30ml bottle can cover a single session, so if you often work on big pieces with a lot of white, the 120ml or 240ml formats are more economical. 30ml remains the ideal starting point if you want to test the range first.
Is it vegan and compliant with European regulations?▾
Yes. The formula is 100% vegan, with no animal testing and no animal-derived components, and the ink is compliant with EU REACH 2022 regulation. The product comes sterile-packaged, and the label includes the batch number, expiration date and safety information — details by which you can also verify the product‘s authenticity.
