Guide & full description
Complete guide: Ink cups 15mm
A set of 100 disposable transparent plastic containers, Ø15 mm in diameter, for holding ink, pigment, adhesive, remover, or primer during work. The large size makes them especially suitable for extensive shading, color packing, and large-area pieces, where you need larger amounts of ink at hand. They are useful for both tattoo artists and micropigmentation, microblading, or eyelash extension technicians.
How to use
- Prepare your workstation and place the ink caps on an ink cap holder with appropriately sized holes (Ø15 mm), in the position that is most comfortable for you.
- Pour into each ink cap only the amount of ink or pigment you need for the session — a 15 mm ink cap holds approximately 1–1.5 ml.
- Use a separate ink cap for each color or substance (ink, adhesive, remover, primer) to avoid cross-contamination.
- During work, dip the needles directly into the ink cap; the 15 mm diameter provides comfortable space even for large configurations such as Magnum or Round Shader.
- Monitor the ink level and consistency through the transparent wall, and refill only if necessary.
- At the end of the session, discard all used ink caps together with the rest of the contaminated consumables — they are never reused.
Tips from us
- Choose 15 mm for shading, color packing, and large-area fills; for lining, smaller ink caps (8–12 mm) limit ink waste.
- Initially put less ink than you think you need — the larger exposed surface means slightly faster evaporation, and refilling takes just a few seconds.
- The wider base of 15 mm ink caps makes them more stable on the workstation than smaller ones, but it's still best to secure them in a holder rather than leaving them loose on the table.
- You can mix custom shades directly in the ink cap, the space allows it; for pure colors, however, keep a separate ink cap per color.
- Prepare all ink caps with the necessary colors before you start, so you don't have to interrupt work with contaminated gloves.
Frequently asked questions
What type of work are the 15 mm ink caps suitable for?▾
They are designed for sessions that consume a lot of ink in a single color: extensive shading, color packing, large and colorful pieces, long sessions. The larger volume reduces the frequency of refills and keeps your workflow steady. For lining, they are oversized — there, an 8 or 12 mm ink cap limits ink to what is strictly necessary and reduces waste.
Do Magnum needles fit in them?▾
Yes, the 15 mm diameter provides enough space for comfortable dipping of large needle configurations — Magnum (including Curved Magnum), Round Shader, and flat shader. In general, any configuration with many needles benefits from the extra space, because all needles load evenly with ink.
Do they fit in my ink cap holder?▾
The ink caps require a holder with appropriately sized holes (15 mm). Many universal holders — made of silicone, plastic, or metal — have holes of multiple sizes, typically from 8 to 20 mm, so check if your holder also has the 15 mm step before ordering. On tatuat.ro you can find the ink caps and holders in the same category.
Can I reuse them if there is clean ink left in them?▾
No. They are single-use consumables and are disposed of after each session, together with contaminated waste, to prevent cross-contamination between clients. Any remaining ink is discarded with the ink cap — that's why it's more economical to pour only as much as you estimate you will use from the start.
How many pieces are in the set and how much ink does one ink cap hold?▾
The set contains 100 pieces. A 15 mm ink cap holds approximately 1–1.5 ml of ink — enough for shading a medium-sized area or color filling a moderate area without refilling.
Can I use them for something other than tattoo ink?▾
Yes. Besides tattoo and micropigmentation pigment, they are also used for adhesive (e.g., in eyelash extensions, microblading), remover, or primer. The transparent plastic does not react with professional ink formulas, whether carbon-based, water-based, or with organic pigments, and the transparency lets you constantly see the level and consistency of the contents.
