Guide & full description
Complete guide: Fusion drawing brush Flaming Pink 30ml
A professional water-based drawing ink in Flaming Pink — an intense, almost neon rose-magenta with excellent visibility on any skin tone. It is used for sketching the design directly on the skin before tattooing: reference marks, colored annotations, and presenting the drawing to the client. The 30 ml format, double the 15 ml size, is designed for artists who frequently use this shade and want a lower cost per milliliter.
How to use
- Gently shake the bottle before each use to ensure the pigment is evenly distributed.
- Pour a small amount into a separate working container — do not dip tools directly into the bottle to avoid contaminating the remaining ink.
- Prepare the area: the skin must be clean and degreased, otherwise the lines will not adhere evenly.
- Draw the sketch with your usual drawing tool (the product is compatible with professional drawing tools); for lighter tones, dilute the ink with water.
- Build up gradients in layers: repeated application takes the shade from bright light pink to deep magenta.
- If you want to correct a line, wipe it off — the ink lifts easily from the skin — and redraw.
- Finally, close the cap tightly immediately to prevent evaporation and contamination, and discard any remaining ink in the working container.
Tips from us
- Use Flaming Pink for focal points and key areas of the composition: the strong contrast against black lines makes it easy to read while working and to explain to the client.
- For watercolor or glow effects, dilute the ink with water in different ratios; for an airbrush, use distilled water and first test the consistency on a test surface.
- You can combine the shade with other drawing inks from the same range for a palette of pinks — from pastel (by dilution) to dark tones (by adding black).
- Store the bottle upright with the cap tightly closed in a cool, dry place (ideally 15–25 °C), away from direct sunlight, which can degrade the pigment over time.
- If you also use an airbrush, clean it immediately after use to prevent the intense pigment from clogging the nozzle.
- Choose the 30 ml format only if your workload justifies the volume; for occasional use, a smaller format will be consumed before it degrades.
Frequently asked questions
Can I actually tattoo with this ink?▾
No. It is a drawing ink, designed for sketching the design on the skin's surface — that is why it wipes off easily. For permanent work, use dedicated tattoo pigments exclusively, and use the drawing ink only for markings, composition, and presenting the design to the client.
How do I avoid contaminating the ink between clients?▾
Before the session, pour only the necessary amount into a separate working container and work from it, not directly from the bottle. Do not touch the bottle mouth to the skin or used tools, do not return leftover ink to the bottle, and close the cap tightly immediately after pouring. The working container and any leftover ink in it are disposed of at the end of the session.
Does it show well on darker skin tones?▾
Yes — Flaming Pink is an intense, almost neon rose-magenta, chosen precisely for its good visibility on any skin tone. That is why it is often used for reference marks and highlighting important areas of the design, where contrast against black lines matters.
Is the 30 ml worth it, or is it safer to get the 15 ml format?▾
It depends on how often you use the shade. The 30 ml format has a better price per milliliter and ensures continuity if intense pink is a frequent color in your workflow (new school, watercolor, pop art, floral designs). If you rarely use it, the small format is the more practical choice — it is open for less time, with a lower risk of degradation.
Can I dilute the ink? With what and for what?▾
Yes, the formula is water-based, so it can be diluted with water for pastel tones and fine gradations. For an airbrush, use distilled water and test the consistency on a test surface until you find the right viscosity; after use, clean the airbrush immediately to prevent the pigment from clogging the nozzle.
Does it wipe off completely from the skin before and during tattooing?▾
Yes, the ink lifts easily from the skin — this is normal behavior for a drawing ink. Keep in mind that during work, repeated wiping will gradually fade the sketch, so many artists use freehand drawing combined with a stencil for lines they cannot afford to lose.
