Guide & full description

Complete guide: Elite Aluminum Adjustable Cartridge Grip-FLEX 25mm - Blue

This grip-adapter is an aluminum piece that mounts on tattoo machines using the drive bar system, allowing them to use cartridge needles. It has a standard 25 mm diameter for a comfortable grip and is designed for artists who want to work with cartridges without changing their machine. It comes with 2 drive bars and allows needle depth adjustment over a 4 mm range. The aluminum body is autoclavable, so it can be resterilized and reused.

How to use

First, check that your machine uses the drive bar system and that the 3 mm central bore fits its mount.
Install one of the supplied drive bars (2 are included in the package) into the machine's mechanism.
Insert the sterile cartridge into the grip-adapter and push it gently until it locks firmly without play.
Adjust the needle depth within the 4 mm range, depending on your technique (lining, shading, filling).
Apply a protective barrier (film/clip cord sleeve) over the grip and machine before starting.
Briefly run the machine and check the needle stroke before contacting the skin.
After use, remove the cartridge (single-use consumable) and discard it, then prepare the grip for cleaning and sterilization.

Tips from us

Check the diameter/mounting system of your machine before ordering to ensure compatibility with the drive bar system.
You have two drive bars in the package — keep one as a spare and replace it if you notice wear or play.
Adjust the needle depth in small increments and test on paper or artificial skin before working.
The blue color helps with quick identification in the studio if you have multiple grips with different configurations.
The 25 mm is the standard grip diameter; if you prefer a thicker hold, you can use a silicone grip cover over it.

Warning: The grip is autoclavable, but the manufacturer explicitly states: DO NOT ultrasonic clean it. Clean it mechanically (manually) and sterilize it in an autoclave between uses. The cartridge is a single-use consumable — never reuse it. Always use protective barriers on the grip and machine during work, and before each client ensure the grip has been properly sterilized.

Frequently asked questions

Which tattoo machines is it compatible with?▾

It is designed for machines that use the drive bar system, with a 3 mm central bore. It comes with 2 drive bars. Before ordering, check that your machine accepts this type of mount and the 3 mm diameter.

Which needles/cartridges work with it?▾

The manufacturer indicates it is compatible with cartridge needles. In practice, standard cartridges on the market fit; if you have cartridges with a proprietary locking system, test them separately before use.

Can I ultrasonic clean it?▾

No. The manufacturer clearly states NOT to ultrasonic clean it. Clean it mechanically and sterilize it in an autoclave. This is the correct method to preserve its integrity over time.

How many drive bars are included?▾

The package includes 2 drive bars, so you have a spare piece right from the start.

What is the grip diameter and can I adjust the needle depth?▾

The grip diameter is 25 mm, a standard size comfortable for most technicians. The needle depth is adjustable over a 4 mm range.

Why the blue version and not another?▾

The color does not change functionality — it is the blue variant of the same grip-adapter. The color helps mainly with visual organization in the studio, when you want to quickly identify a specific grip configuration.

Product description

Elite Aluminum Adjustable Cartridge Grip-FLEX 25mm Machined from a solid rod of 7075 T6 Aircraft Aluminum by CNC; Mirror Polished , Clear Anodized for durability; Compatible with all needles cartridges;3mm Center bore is compatible with all build in drive-bar style machines. Comes with 2 needle drive bars. Needle depth adjustable range: 4mm Autoclavable NOTES: Do not Ultra Sonic wash. The Elite flex cartridge adapter grip 25mm in blue is an innovative grip-adapter that enables using standard cartridges on conventional tattoo machines (coil and classic rotary) not originally designed for the cartridge system. The Elite flex system practically converts any traditional machine into a cartridge-compatible one, eliminating the need to invest in a new pen-style machine. The 25mm diameter provides the standard comfortable hold suitable for all tattooing techniques. The flex mechanism refers to the flexible connection system that absorbs vibrations and allows smooth cartridge travel, simulating the performance of native pen-style machines. The blue color provides quick visual identification in the studio — useful when you have multiple grips with different configurations. Construction material is anodized aluminum, autoclavable and corrosion-resistant. Compatibility with universal standard cartridges (Kwadron, Cheyenne, Big Wasp, Peak, Bishop) opens access to the entire range of modern cartridges without changing your machine. This adapter is the perfect solution for artists who have quality coil or classic rotary machines they do not want to replace, but want to benefit from cartridge advantages — superior hygiene through anti-backflow membrane, rapid switching between configurations, and elimination of traditional tubes and backstems. Installation is simple, without special tools, and disassembly for sterilization is done manually. The blue anodized finish maintains its vibrant color through repeated autoclaving cycles thanks to the electrochemical anodizing process that integrates pigment deep into the oxide layer. A complete bridge between traditional craftsmanship and modern cartridge convenience. Frequently Asked Questions
