Guide & full description
Complete guide: Xtreme Ink Rosy Flesh 30ml
This is a professional tattoo ink from the Xtreme Ink range, in a warm skin tone shade with a pink undertone, delivered in a 30 ml bottle. It is used in portrait and realism work where you need natural warmth: rosy cheeks, blush effects, lips, and pink skin accents. It is applied directly from the bottle, without dilution, and is compatible with all types of machines — coil, rotary, and pen. The manufacturer declares it vegan, cruelty-free, and compliant with European REACH regulations.
How to use
- Check the bottle before the session: intact seal, legible label, and the expiration date/lot printed by the manufacturer. If the packaging is damaged, do not use it.
- Shake the bottle well before each use. The pigment may settle over time, and proper homogenization gives you consistent color from the first to the last cap.
- Prepare the work station with protective barriers on surfaces, wrap on the machine and cable, clean gloves, and disposable ink caps for each client.
- Pour from the bottle only the estimated amount for the respective work. Never insert the needle, tip, or any instrument directly into the bottle — you contaminate the entire contents.
- Use it as is, without dilution. If you want an intermediate shade, mix in a separate cap and note the proportions so you can reproduce exactly the same color for touch-ups.
- Test the shade on a small area or on artificial skin before large surfaces. Skin tones read differently over each client's natural undertone, and a blush looks different on cool skin versus warm skin.
- Work in light, even passes. The ink is formulated for good saturation from the first pass, so avoid excessively revisiting the same area just to 'force' the color.
- At the end, discard all remaining ink in the caps, wipe the outside of the bottle, close the cap tightly, and store the bottle at room temperature, away from direct light and heat.
Tips from us
- Plan the color order in the session: work light tones with clean needles and caps before moving to dark pigments. Blush-type shades get 'dirty' most easily from accidental contamination.
- Keep a reference cap with clean, unmodified ink next to the ones where you make mixtures. You always have something to compare when adjusting intensity.
- Write down your mixing recipes (how many drops of each color) in the client's file. For touch-ups or the next session, you will need exactly the same shade.
- Never pour back into the bottle any ink remaining in the cap — even if it seems untouched, it was exposed during the session.
- If you are a beginner, practice on artificial skin how a skin tone behaves over other colors: applied too saturated or over still irritated areas, it may look cloudier than expected.
- Check your stock periodically before large bookings — an accent color runs out faster than you think when working on portrait series.
Frequently asked questions
What do I concretely use a warm 'flesh' ink with pink undertone for?▾
It is an accent color for portrait and realism work, not a lining color. You use it where skin naturally shows more color: rosy cheeks, warm blush effect, lips, ears, tip of the nose, fingers. Basically, it adds pink warmth over the base skin tones so the drawing doesn't stay flat. If you work predominantly in black & grey or graphic style, it's a color you use rarely; if you do color portraits, it's the kind of shade that makes the difference between 'correct' and 'alive'.
Does it need to be diluted or mixed with anything before use?▾
No. It is ready to use directly from the bottle, with a consistency designed for constant flow, so it does not require thinner or mandatory mixing. The only thing you do beforehand is shake the bottle well so the pigment is evenly distributed. You only mix if you intentionally want an intermediate shade — and then you do it in a separate cap, never in the bottle.
Does it work with my machine? I have a pen / rotary / coil machine.▾
Yes. The manufacturer indicates compatibility with all types of tattoo machines: coil, rotary, and pen. The consistency is designed for constant flow, regardless of the configuration used. What matters more than the machine type is your saturation technique and working speed — the same color can look different if you go too fast or excessively revisit the area.
How do I store it correctly and how long can I use it after opening?▾
Store it at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and heat sources, with the cap firmly closed after each use. The golden rule for shelf life is to never contaminate the bottle: pour into individual caps, do not insert needles or instruments into it, and do not return leftover ink. The expiration date is the one printed by the manufacturer on the label — check it there, do not estimate it. A properly stored and uncontaminated bottle maintains its properties until the indicated date.
Can it be mixed with other inks to get custom shades?▾
Yes, it mixes well with the other inks in the Xtreme range for intermediate shades — for example a more discreet blush or a slightly warmer skin tone. Make the mixture in a clean cap, in small quantities at first, and note down your proportions. For mixtures between different brands, always test on artificial skin first, because the formulas differ and the result can be unpredictable.
What does the color look like after healing?▾
Like any tattoo ink, after complete healing the shade softens slightly and settles, keeping its warm character with pink undertone. The final result largely depends on two factors that the ink does not control: the type and undertone of the client's skin and the quality of aftercare. That's precisely why, with skin tones, it's worth doing a small test and discussing expectations from the start with the client, as well as a possible touch-up session.
