Guide & full description
Complete guide: Xtreme Ink Bluebell 30ml
We are talking about a professional tattoo ink in a 30 ml bottle, with a delicate blue-violet floral tone, from the Xtreme Ink collection. It is designed for floral works, fairy tale themes, cool-toned accents, lavender effects, and ethereal designs, where you need a subtle shade, not a harsh blue. The formula is vegan, cruelty-free, and compliant with REACH regulations, so it falls within the European requirements applicable to tattoo inks. It is used directly from the bottle, without mixing or diluting, and works on all types of machines: coil, rotary, and pen.
How to use
- Before the session, check the bottle: intact cap, legible label, no leaks. If the packaging is damaged, do not use it.
- Shake the bottle well before each use. Pigments can settle over time, and homogenization gives you a consistent color throughout the session.
- Pour only the necessary amount into individual disposable cups, one set per client. Never introduce the needle, tip, or other instrument directly into the bottle.
- Do not dilute the ink. It is formulated ready to use straight from the bottle, so you don't need a shading solution unless you intentionally want your own dilution for gradients.
- Set up the machine and needles as for any colored ink in your usual range, then work on a small test area before tackling large surfaces, to see how the shade settles on that particular client's skin.
- Aim for saturation on the first pass. Pre-dispersed pigments go in evenly, so there is no need to go over the area multiple times — overworking traumatizes the skin without adding color.
- If you want intermediate shades, mix in a clean cup with other inks from the Xtreme range and note your proportions, so you can reproduce the mix at the touch-up session.
- At the end, discard all cups along with the remaining ink in them — never pour back into the bottle. Wipe the bottle neck, close the cap tightly, and store at room temperature, away from direct light and heat.
Tips from us
- Being a delicate shade, it shows best in compositions that also have a point of contrast: firmer linework, cool shadows, or a black that 'holds' it in the design. In a piece built only from pale tones, it risks looking washed out from a distance.
- Pour a little and more often. It is easier to add more to a cup than to throw away half a bottle of poured ink at the end.
- Keep a record of the batch number from the label in the client's file. It is good professional practice and helps if any discussion arises about the product used.
- For custom mixes, work in small steps: start from Bluebell and add a little of the second color at a time, otherwise you can easily overshoot the desired shade and not be able to recover it.
- The final result after healing depends a lot on the skin type and the client's aftercare, so discuss aftercare before the session, not after.
- Store opened bottles separately from sealed ones, on a shelf away from sunlight, and periodically check the date on the label so you don't end up opening an expired product in the middle of a session.
Frequently asked questions
What shade is Bluebell actually and what kind of work does it go with?▾
It is a delicate blue-violet floral tone, inspired by woodland flowers. It suits floral and botanical works, fairy tale themes, cool-toned accents, lavender effects, and ethereal designs. If you work mostly with blackwork or warm, saturated palettes, it is a complementary color, not a primary one.
Does it need to be diluted or mixed before use?▾
No. It is formulated ready to use straight from the bottle, without mixing or dilution. The only mandatory thing is to shake the bottle well before each use, so the pigment is homogeneous. If you want more transparent gradients, you can dilute it, but that is a stylistic choice, not a product requirement.
Does it work on my machine or do I need a specific setup?▾
It is compatible with all types of tattoo machines — coil, rotary, and pen. The consistency allows a smooth and steady flow, so you don't need to change your setup. Needle selection remains the same as for the other colors you already work with.
Can it be mixed with other inks to create custom shades?▾
Yes, it mixes very well with other inks from the Xtreme range, which are compatible with each other and provide stable, predictable mixes. Always mix in a clean disposable cup, not in the bottle, and note down your proportions so you can recreate the exact same shade for touch-ups.
How should I store it properly and how long does it last after opening?▾
Store it at room temperature, away from direct light and excessive heat, with the cap tightly closed after each use. Do not pour leftover ink from cups back into the bottle, and never introduce needles or tools into the bottle — that contaminates the entire contents. The expiration date is printed on the product label; check it periodically on the bottles in stock.
Is it vegan and compliant with European standards?▾
Yes. The formula is vegan and cruelty-free, with ethically sourced ingredients, and complies with REACH regulations on substances allowed in tattoo inks. It essentially falls within the European legal framework applicable to this type of product.
What does the color look like after healing?▾
After full healing, it retains its characteristic shade, with the slight natural fading that any tattoo ink undergoes. How well it settles depends on the client's skin type, the implantation technique, and very much on the quality of aftercare. Good saturation on the first pass helps, because it reduces the need to go over the area again and thus minimizes skin trauma.
