Guide & full description
Complete guide: Xtreme Ink Burgundy 30ml
You have in front of you a professional tattoo ink in a deep wine-red shade, from a 30 ml bottle from the Xtreme Ink range. It is designed for artists who work with rose petals, wine-colored accents, rich shading, and classic Americana elements — that is, where a simple red would be too 'harsh', and a brown would be too dull. The formula comes ready to use, with pre-dispersed pigments, and is vegan, cruelty-free, and compliant with European REACH regulations. It is intended exclusively for professional use, in the studio, by trained individuals.
How to use
- Before the session, check the bottle: intact seal, legible label, batch number and expiration date printed on the container. Do not use ink with damaged packaging.
- Shake the bottle well before each pour. Pigment may settle during storage, and proper homogenization gives you the same shade from start to finish of the work.
- Prepare the station: gloves, protective film on the machine, clip cord and bottles, disposable towel on the work surface, and individual ink caps for the current client.
- Pour the ink into disposable caps — never directly from the bottle onto the skin and never insert the needle, cartridge, or other tool into the bottle. The bottle must remain uncontaminated for future sessions.
- Do not dilute or mix anything if you want the original shade: the product is formulated to be used as is, directly from the bottle.
- Work with the machine you are used to — the ink is compatible with coil, rotary, and pen machines. Do a short test on synthetic skin or a test area to check the flow through your needle configuration.
- Apply following saturation on the first pass. Since the pigment goes in evenly, avoid going over the area too many times — fewer passes mean less trauma to the skin.
- At the end, discard all remaining ink in the caps (do not pour it back into the bottle), wipe the bottle neck, close the cap tightly, and store the bottle at room temperature, away from direct light and heat.
Tips from us
- Always do a test on synthetic skin before a large piece: wine-red shades read differently depending on the client's skin type and the density you work with.
- It mixes well with other inks from the Xtreme range if you want intermediate shades. Note the exact proportions on the work sheet — otherwise you won't be able to reproduce the same color at the touch-up session.
- Pour a little into the cap and more often, instead of a lot at once. You reduce waste at the end of the session, especially for a color you use as an accent, not as a background.
- When working with several close red shades in the same session, position the caps in a fixed order or mark them. The difference between a wine-red and a classic red is hard to see in the cap under the lamp.
- Keep track of the batch number and expiration date for each opened bottle — it is useful both for the studio's hygiene file and for color consistency between sessions.
- Put a protective barrier on the bottle as well, not just on the machine. A bottle touched with a contaminated glove becomes a risk for all subsequent sessions.
Frequently asked questions
What tattoo machines can I use this ink with?▾
With all common types: coil, rotary, and pen. It does not need a special setup and does not require dilution to flow through needles. As with any ink, the choice of needles and working speed are up to you — do a short test on synthetic skin the first time you use it with a new machine to calibrate your hand to how the color settles.
Does it need to be diluted or mixed before use?▾
No. The formula is ready to use directly from the bottle, with pre-dispersed pigments. The only necessary step before pouring is to shake the bottle well, because pigment may settle during storage. If you still want a lighter shade or an intermediate tone, you achieve it by mixing with other inks from the Xtreme range, not by adding liquids.
How do I store and properly sanitize it between sessions?▾
The bottle is kept at room temperature, away from direct light and heat, with the cap tightly closed. Always pour into disposable caps and discard the rest at the end of the session — used ink is never recovered into the bottle. Do not insert needles, cartridges, or other tools into the bottle and wipe the bottle neck before closing it. Use a protective barrier on the bottle during work, just like on the machine and clip cord.
What type of work is the burgundy shade suitable for?▾
It is a deep wine-red, designed for rose petals, wine-colored accents, rich shading, elegant designs, and classic Americana elements. Basically, you use it where you want depth and a warm-dark tone, not the direct impact of a pure red. It works very well as a shading shade under a lighter red or as a contrast accent in a floral composition.
Can it be mixed with other inks?▾
Yes, with other inks from the Xtreme range, to obtain custom intermediate shades. Mixes within the same range are the most predictable because the formulas are built to be compatible with each other. Make the mix in a clean cap, note the proportions, and test on synthetic skin before applying to the client — especially if it's a piece that will require touch-ups.
Is it vegan and compliant with European standards?▾
Yes. The product has a vegan formula, cruelty-free production, and is compliant with European REACH regulations regarding substances allowed in tattoo inks. If a client asks — and more and more do — you can show them the batch label on the bottle; it is also good practice for the studio's documentation.
How much ink is a 30 ml bottle?▾
The bottle is 30 ml, and how long it lasts depends entirely on how you work: a color used as an accent on the outline of a flower lasts much longer than one used for large fills. The practical rule is to pour small amounts into the cap and top up as needed, instead of pouring generously and throwing away at the end. That way, a bottle covers considerably more sessions.
