Complete guide: Xtreme Ink Extra White 120ml
White is the color that gives depth to a tattoo: without it, highlights get lost and blends remain flat. Here we are talking about a professional white ink, opaque and bright, delivered in a large 120 ml format — designed for artists and studios that use white daily, for highlights, fine details, and blends for intermediate shades. It comes ready to use, no dilution needed, and is formulated vegan and cruelty-free, with a composition declared by the manufacturer to comply with European REACH regulations.
How to use
- Shake the bottle well before each use. Pigments can settle over time, and proper homogenization gives you the same opacity from the first to the last session.
- Prepare the station before opening the bottle: clean gloves, protective barriers on surfaces and on the machine handle, clean paper at hand. Ideally, put a barrier on the ink bottle as well, so you don't touch it with contaminated gloves.
- Pour only the necessary amount into disposable ink cups, separate for each client. Never insert the needle, a toothpick, or any other instrument directly into the bottle — it is the most common way to contaminate the stock.
- Close the bottle cap immediately after pouring and set it aside, away from the active work area.
- Work directly, without dilution — the ink is formulated to be used as is. If you need an intermediate shade, mix it with other inks from the same range in a separate cup, not in the bottle.
- For highlights, leave the white for last and use a clean needle. Wipe the area well before, so you don't pick up pigment from previously applied colors and dirty your white.
- Check saturation after the first pass and avoid going over the area more than necessary. A white that 'sticks' on the first pass shortens the session and spares the skin.
- At the end, discard all cups along with the remaining ink in them — do not pour back into the bottle. Wipe the outside of the bottle, make sure it is tightly closed, and store it at room temperature, away from direct light and heat.
Tips from us
- The 120 ml format is studio stock, not a working container. Keep it as backup and always work from small cups — this way the bottle stays clean for months.
- Change or clean the needle before switching to white. A needle that has worked black or color will 'dirty' the white even if the ink in the cup is perfectly clean.
- When building your own shades by mixing white with other inks, note down the ratio used. Without a note, the same shade is almost impossible to reproduce at touch-up.
- If you have multiple bottles in stock, use the one opened earlier first and keep them all in the same place, in the shade. Stock rotation matters more than quantity.
- Don't pour 'extra' into the cup. Estimate realistically for that session — everything left over is discarded anyway, and at 120 ml the waste adds up in monthly consumption.
Frequently asked questions
Why would I buy 120 ml of white and not a smaller size?▾
Because white is, for most artists, the color with the highest consumption: it goes into highlights, fine details, and almost any mix for light shades. If you work daily or have a high-volume studio, a 120 ml format means fewer orders and the same formula over several months of work, without changing the ink behavior from one bottle to another. If you tattoo occasionally and white sits on your shelf more than in the cup, a large format makes less sense — then stock rotation matters more.
Does it need to be diluted or mixed with anything before use?▾
No. It is formulated to be used directly from the bottle, without dilution or additives. The only mandatory step before use is shaking the bottle, so the pigment is evenly distributed. If you want intermediate shades, you can mix it with other inks, but that is down to your artistic intent, not a product requirement.
Will it work on my machine or do I need a specific setup?▾
It is declared compatible with all types of tattoo machines — coil, rotary, and pen. The consistency is designed for a constant flow, regardless of the needle configuration you use. Basically, the choice of needle and speed remains a matter of style and the area you are working on, not one imposed by the ink.
How do I store it properly and how do I avoid contaminating it?▾
Keep the bottle at room temperature, away from direct light and heat sources, with the cap tightly closed. The golden rule is that nothing goes into the bottle: you pour into individual cups for each client, and the needle, glove used on skin, or any instrument never touches the bottle mouth. Put a protective barrier on the bottle if you handle it during the session and wipe the outside at the end. Everything left in the cup is discarded together with the cup.
Can it be mixed with other inks for custom shades?▾
Yes, it can be mixed with other inks from the same range to obtain intermediate shades, and the manufacturer indicates good compatibility within its own range. Make the mix in a clean, separate cup, never in the bottle, and work with small amounts until you get the desired shade. If you mix with inks from other manufacturers, test first on synthetic skin — the behavior is no longer guaranteed by anyone.
How does the white behave after healing?▾
As with any tattoo ink, the color settles and undergoes a natural fading as the skin heals. How well the white stays depends largely on factors not related to the bottle: depth and uniformity of application, skin type, sun exposure, and especially the client's discipline in aftercare. What you can control is your technique — good saturation achieved without excessively going over the area usually gives the most stable long-term result.
