Guide & full description
Complete guide: Xtreme Ink Light Flesh 30ml
It is a tattoo ink in a light, natural, and delicate skin tone shade, delivered in a 30 ml bottle from the Xtreme Ink collection. It is aimed especially at artists working in color realism and portraits, where you need light skin tones, highlight transitions, subtle warm shading, and facial details. It comes ready to use directly from the bottle, without mixing or dilution, and the formula is vegan and REACH compliant. It is not a contrast color, but a building tone: you use it to give volume and light, not to 'hit' the viewer.
How to use
- Before the session, check the bottle: the seal, legible label, and expiration date printed on the packaging. Do not use a damaged bottle or one with an illegible label.
- Shake the bottle well before each use. Pigments may settle during storage, and proper homogenization gives you a consistent shade from the beginning to the end of the session.
- Pour only the necessary amount into individual ink caps, a new set for each client. Never insert the needle, cartridge, or any other used instrument directly into the bottle.
- Do not dilute or mix the product 'preventively' — it is used directly from the bottle. If you want an intermediate shade, mix in the cap, not in the original bottle.
- Apply it with your usual setup. It is compatible with all types of tattoo machines: coil, rotary, and pen, without special consistency adjustments.
- Do a test pass on a small area or on synthetic skin to see how the light tone reads on that client's skin, then build the rest of the area.
- Work it as a light tone: place it over or next to the warmer tones in the portrait, for highlights and transitions. Due to good saturation on the first pass, avoid unnecessarily reworking the same area.
- At the end, discard all remaining ink in the caps — never return it to the bottle. Wipe the bottle neck with a disinfectant wipe, close the cap tightly, and store the bottle in its place.
Tips from us
- Test the shade on a small area before covering large portrait surfaces. A light skin tone reads differently depending on the client's skin and surrounding colors.
- Always mix in the ink cap, never in the bottle. This keeps the original bottle clean and the reference shade unchanged for future sessions.
- Write the date of first opening on the cap and keep the batch number from the label in the client's file. It is good professional practice and makes traceability easier.
- Store the bottle at room temperature, away from direct light and excessive heat. Do not leave it on the windowsill, near a lamp, or in the car.
- If you work in color realism, keep it in the palette alongside the other inks from the same range — they mix well together for predictable intermediate shades.
- Pour a little and more often. It is more hygienic and economical than filling large caps from which you throw away half at the end of the session.
Frequently asked questions
What color is 'Light Flesh' actually and what do I use it for?▾
It is a light, natural, and delicate skin tone — not a white and not an intense beige. It is used for light skin tones in portraits, highlight transitions, delicate realism, subtle warm shading, and facial details. Basically, it is the color with which you give light and volume to a portrait, not one with which you make strong contrast.
Does it need to be diluted or mixed before use?▾
No. It is ready to use directly from the bottle, without dilution or mixing. The only mandatory step is to shake the bottle well before each use so that the pigment is homogeneous. If you want a custom shade, you mix in the ink cap, not in the bottle.
What tattoo machines does it work with?▾
It is compatible with all types of machines: coil, rotary, and pen. The consistency allows a constant flow, and the product does not require special adjustments or addition of dilution solution to flow correctly.
How do I store it correctly and how long can I use it after opening?▾
Keep the bottle at room temperature, away from direct light and heat, with the cap tightly closed. For the usage period after opening, follow exactly what is written on the bottle label — do not estimate. Hygiene rules matter as much as the date: pour into individual caps for each client, do not insert used instruments into the bottle, and never return ink from the cap into the bottle. A contaminated bottle is discarded, regardless of how much ink remains in it.
Can it be mixed with other inks?▾
Yes, it mixes well with the other inks from the Xtreme range to obtain intermediate shades, compatibility within the range being predictable. Mixing is done in the ink cap, in small quantities, and it is good to note the proportion if you want to reproduce the same shade at the touch-up session.
What does the color look like after healing?▾
After complete healing, it retains its characteristic shade, with a slight natural fading, specific to all tattoo inks. The final result, however, depends on the client's skin type, the area worked, and adherence to aftercare — that is why it is worth discussing these expectations with the client before starting, especially for portraits.
