Guide & full description
Complete guide: Xtreme Ink Pale Flesh 30ml
We are talking about a 30 ml tattoo ink from the flesh tones family, in the lightest warm tone of the series. It is designed for realism and portraiture, where you need subtle highlights and that "porcelain skin" effect that a darker shade would cover. It comes ready to use, no dilution needed, and can be mixed with other Xtreme inks for intermediate shades. It is aimed at artists who build skin tones in layers, not those looking for a contour or solid fill ink.
How to use
- Shake the bottle well before each use. Pigments settle naturally over time, and a brief shake restores the mixture to a uniform consistency.
- Prepare your workstation: clean gloves, surfaces covered with protective barriers, and a barrier or wrap on the bottle as well, so you don't touch it with contaminated gloves during the session.
- Pour only the amount you need into individual disposable ink caps, separate for each client. Never insert the needle, tube, or any other tool directly into the bottle.
- Do not dilute the product — it is formulated for direct use from the bottle.
- Being a very light shade, first check how it reads on the client's skin, in a small area of the work. Pale tones behave differently depending on the natural skin undertone.
- Apply in controlled layers. Good saturation on the first pass means you don't need to go over the same area excessively — repeated work traumatizes the skin without adding color.
- If you want an intermediate shade, mix with other Xtreme inks in a clean cap, never in the original bottle.
- At the end, wipe the bottle neck, close the cap tightly, and store at room temperature, away from direct light and heat. Any ink left in the caps is discarded, not poured back.
Tips from us
- Place the mid-tones of the work first and only then the pale highlights. If you start with the lightest shade, you lose your contrast reference and the result turns out flat.
- Write down your mixing recipes (which shades, in what approximate proportion). For touch-ups or multi-session work, you will need exactly the same combination.
- Pour a little and more often, instead of a full cap from the start. You reduce waste and avoid the temptation to keep ink from one session to another.
- Because it is compatible with coil, rotary, and pen machines, you have no reason to change the ink when you change the machine — rather adjust the speed and needle configuration.
- Upon receipt, check the bottle integrity and the information on the label, including the expiration date, before putting it into your work rotation.
- A 30 ml bottle is a working quantity, not a sample. If you rarely use pale shades, keep it in a cool, dark place and check it before each session.
Frequently asked questions
What use is such a light shade to me? Isn't it simpler to leave the skin unworked?▾
Not always. Unworked skin remains simply skin, with its natural tone, while a pale flesh ink gives you a warm, controlled highlight that can be placed exactly where you want light. It is especially useful in portraiture and realism, for "porcelain skin" effects and for smooth transitions between mid-tones and lit areas. Basically, with it you shape the light, not just leave it free.
Do I need to dilute it or mix it with something before use?▾
No. The product is ready to use directly from the bottle, without dilution and without mandatory mixing. The only necessary preparation is shaking the bottle before each use, so that settled pigments redistribute evenly. Mixing remains optional, only if you want to obtain your own intermediate shade.
Does it work with my machine? I have a rotary / a pen / a coil.▾
It works with all three. The ink is declared compatible with coil, rotary, and pen machines, and its consistency allows a constant flow regardless of the needle configuration you use. If you notice differences in behavior when changing machines, the cause is usually the working speed and needle type, not the ink.
How do I store it correctly and how long can I use it after opening?▾
Keep it at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and heat sources, with the cap tightly closed after each use. The most important thing for its lifespan is to never contaminate it: do not insert needles or tools into the bottle and always pour into individual caps. For the expiration date, check the information printed on the bottle label and follow it — an expired or contaminated ink is not used, no matter how much is left in it.
Can I combine it with other inks to make my own shades?▾
Yes, it mixes well with other inks from the Xtreme range, and that is actually the usual way to obtain intermediate skin tones. Make the mixture in a clean, disposable cap, never in the original bottle, and note down the proportions so you can reproduce the shade for touch-ups. When combining different ink ranges, test first on a small amount, because you don't have the guarantee of the same behavior.
Does the color stay the same after healing?▾
As with any tattoo ink, the shade lightens slightly after complete healing — that is normal and happens regardless of brand. Very light shades are even more sensitive to this, because they are read in relation to the natural skin tone, so it's worth planning the contrast a bit in advance. The final result depends on the client's skin type, application technique, and the quality of aftercare.
