Guide & full description
Complete guide: Xtreme Ink Pastel Pink 30ml
This is a professional tattoo ink in a soft, subtle pastel pink shade from the Xtreme Ink collection, supplied in a 30 ml bottle. It is intended for artists working on delicate florals, 'blush' effects, pastel compositions, and watercolor-style pieces, where you need a color that suggests more than it shouts. The pigment comes pre-dispersed and ready to use straight from the bottle, without mixing or dilution, and the formula is vegan and compliant with REACH regulations.
How to use
- Prepare your workstation before opening the bottle: disinfected surfaces, protective barriers on the machine, cable, and ink bottle, new gloves, and single-use ink caps.
- Shake the bottle well before each use — the pigment can settle over time, and proper homogenization gives you a consistent shade from start to finish.
- Wipe the bottle neck and pour only the amount you need into the client's individual caps. Never insert the needle, cartridge, or any other tool directly into the bottle.
- Use the ink as is, without dilution — it is formulated to flow consistently straight from the bottle, whether you work with a coil, rotary, or pen machine.
- If you are not yet familiar with the shade, test it on synthetic skin or a practice skin: pastels read very differently on skin than they look in the cap.
- Apply in light layers with the skin well stretched. The pigment provides good saturation from the first pass, so do not overwork the same area — excessive work traumatizes the skin without adding color.
- At the end, discard any leftover ink in the caps along with the caps — do not pour it back into the bottle. Wipe and firmly close the bottle cap.
- Store the bottle at room temperature, away from direct light and excessive heat, with the cap tightly closed.
Tips from us
- Note down your recipe when mixing: Xtreme range inks can be combined for intermediate shades, but if you don't write down the proportions, you won't be able to reproduce the exact same color for touch-ups.
- Pour a little and more often. Pastels are usually used in small amounts, and an overly filled cap means wasted ink at the end of the session.
- Keep light colors separate from black and dark shades during work — a cap accidentally touched by a needle loaded with black will instantly compromise the pastel shade.
- Think about the background before placement: a light color reads best on light skin and on areas without dark lines underneath. Discuss this with the client before starting.
- For watercolor or blush effects, build the color in light, overlapping passes rather than trying to achieve maximum saturation in a single pass.
- Check the batch number on the label before the session and record it in the client's file — it's good traceability practice for any studio.
Frequently asked questions
Does it need to be diluted before use?▾
No. The product is ready to use straight from the bottle — the pigment comes pre-dispersed, and the consistency is designed for a steady flow without any additives. The only thing you do before pouring into the cap is shake the bottle well to ensure the pigment is evenly distributed.
Does it work with any type of machine?▾
Yes, it is compatible with all types of tattoo machines: coil, rotary, and pen. The consistent flow makes it easy to use regardless of your usual setup, so you don't need to change your configuration to integrate it.
How should I store it properly and how important is it to avoid contamination?▾
Store the bottle at room temperature, with the cap tightly closed, away from direct light and heat sources. The non-negotiable hygiene rule is to always pour into individual, single-use caps for each client and never insert the needle or any other tool into the bottle. Any ink left in the cap at the end of the session must be discarded — do not pour it back or reuse it for the next client.
Can it be mixed with other inks?▾
Yes, it mixes well with other inks from the Xtreme range, allowing you to create your own intermediate shades. Mix in a clean cap, not in the bottle, and note down your proportions if you want to be able to recreate the exact same shade for a touch-up or later session.
Is it vegan and compliant with European regulations?▾
Yes. The formula is vegan, produced cruelty-free, and complies with REACH regulations regarding substances allowed in tattoo inks. If you work in a studio in Romania or the EU, REACH compliance is exactly the criterion you check when choosing an ink.
I'm a beginner — is this a suitable color for me?▾
Pastel shades are among the least forgiving because they read poorly if placed incorrectly or if the skin is not properly prepared. The practical recommendation is to practice first on synthetic skin to see how the color looks once settled, and initially use it as an accent in works where you already have the design structure, not as the main element. The final result depends on your technique, the client's skin type, and the quality of aftercare.
