Guide & full description
Complete guide: Xtreme Ink Super Nova 30ml
It is a professional tattoo ink from the Xtreme Ink range, in a 30 ml bottle, with a bright and explosive yellow shade. It is aimed at artists who work in color and need a yellow with a strong presence — cosmic themes, light accents, energy bursts, new-school color splashes, or sun-inspired designs. It comes ready to use straight from the bottle, without dilution or mixing, and is formulated vegan, cruelty-free, and compliant with European REACH regulations.
How to use
- Shake the bottle well before each use, until the color looks uniform — the pigment settles naturally at the bottom of the bottle between sessions.
- Prepare your station before opening the bottle: clean gloves, protective barriers on the machine, cable, spray bottle, and work surfaces. Wipe the outside of the bottle before bringing it into the clean area.
- Pour only the amount you need into individual, disposable ink caps, a separate set for each client. Never insert the needle, cartridge, or any other tool directly into the bottle.
- Close the cap immediately after pouring and put the bottle back, away from light and the actual work area.
- Work the ink as is — it does not need dilution or mixing with another product to flow normally. The fluid consistency is designed to run steadily through your usual needle setup.
- Apply on properly stretched skin and check the result after the first pass: the ink gives good saturation from the start, so rework the area only if really necessary, not out of reflex.
- If you want an intermediate shade, mix in the cap with other inks from the Xtreme range and test the combination on synthetic skin before taking it to the client.
- At the end of the session, discard all caps along with the ink left in them. Nothing that has been in the cap is poured back into the bottle.
Tips from us
- Yellow, as a color family, is among the brightest and most influenced by the skin tone underneath — do a test on synthetic skin or your own swatch to know what to expect on different tones.
- Plan the order of colors in the composition: if you work yellow after black or very dark shades, you risk carrying dark pigment into it. Separate paper towel, separate water, clean movements.
- Keep a notebook (or notes on your phone) with your mixing recipes and the proportions used — otherwise, the shade you hit once is no longer reproducible.
- Pour small amounts into caps and top up as needed, instead of filling the cap from the start. Less product is wasted at the end of the session.
- Note the batch and expiration date from the label before putting the bottle into use — this is information a client or an inspection might ask for, and it's good to have it already in the session file.
Frequently asked questions
What kind of work is this yellow best suited for?▾
It is a bright and explosive yellow, designed for areas that need to catch the eye: cosmic themes, light accents, energy bursts, new-school color splashes, and sun-inspired designs. It works both as a focal point in a color composition and as an accent that 'lights up' an otherwise dark area.
Does it need to be diluted or mixed with anything before use?▾
No. It is ready to use straight from the bottle, without dilution or mixing with other products. The only mandatory step before each use is to shake the bottle well, because the pigment settles naturally over time — if you pour without shaking, the color will not be uniform.
Does it work with my machine, or do I need a specific type of device?▾
It is compatible with all types of tattoo machines — coil, rotary, and pen. The fluid consistency is designed to flow steadily through standard needle configurations, so you don't need to change your equipment for it. The specific settings (speed, stroke, needle type) remain, as always, up to your working style and what you have already calibrated on your machine.
How should it be stored properly, and how can I avoid contaminating the bottle?▾
Keep the bottle at room temperature, away from direct light and excessive heat, with the cap tightly closed after each use. The golden rule: nothing goes into the bottle — no needle, cartridge, or other tool. Pour into individual ink caps for each client, and any leftover ink in the cap is discarded, not recovered. Wipe the outside of the bottle before bringing it into the clean area, and periodically check the expiration date on the label.
Can it be mixed with other inks to get intermediate shades?▾
Yes, it can be mixed with other inks from the Xtreme range for custom shades — since they are from the same range, the mixes are predictable. If you want to combine with inks from another manufacturer, do so at your own risk and test first on synthetic skin: the behavior of a mix between different brands is not guaranteed by anyone.
Is it vegan and compliant with European standards?▾
Yes. The formula is vegan, cruelty-free in production, and complies with European REACH regulations on substances allowed in tattoo inks. Xtreme Ink is a brand used by artists internationally, and the product is intended for professional studio use.
