Complete guide: Xtreme Ink Vine Green 30ml
A natural, earthy green, designed for botanical work: leaves, branches, nature scenes, and everything that needs to look grown, not drawn. It is part of the Xtreme Ink range and comes in a 30 ml bottle, ready to use straight from the bottle, no dilution needed. It is aimed at artists who work in color and need a green that is neither too cool nor too artificial. The manufacturer declares it as vegan, cruelty-free, and compliant with REACH regulations.
How to use
- Prepare your workstation before anything else: disinfected surfaces, barrier on the table and machine, new gloves, disposable ink caps, and clean wipes within reach.
- Shake the bottle well before each use. The pigment naturally settles over time, and proper homogenization gives you the exact shade from the bottle, not a weaker or denser one.
- Wipe the bottle mouth and cap with a disinfectant wipe before opening, to avoid introducing anything inside.
- Pour only the amount you need for the current session into individual caps, then close the bottle tightly. Never insert the needle, cartridge tip, or any other tool directly into the bottle.
- Use it as is, without dilution. If you want an intermediate shade, mix in the cap, not in the original bottle.
- Work the saturation in controlled passes, with constant pressure and a stable angle. The goal is to apply the color evenly, not to rework the area endlessly.
- Wipe the area periodically to assess how much pigment has actually been implanted, not how much is visible on the skin.
- At the end, discard any remaining ink in the caps along with the caps. Do not pour back into the bottle, no matter how much is left.
Tips from us
- Do a small shade test on a limited area or on synthetic skin before a large piece — green reads differently depending on the client's skin tone, and this is best seen in practice, not in the bottle.
- If you combine it with other inks, note the exact ratio of the mix. A custom green that you cannot reproduce at the touch-up session becomes a problem.
- Pour less than you think you need and top up as you go. You reduce waste, and the ink in the cap stays exposed for less time.
- Keep the bottle tightly closed, at room temperature, away from direct light and heat sources.
- Check the seal integrity and product appearance upon receipt. A damaged bottle or one with an uneven appearance that does not restore upon shaking should not be used.
- Natural green reads better when it has contrast next to it — plan the values in the design from the stencil stage, not during the work.
Frequently asked questions
Does it need to be diluted before use?▾
No. The manufacturer indicates it is ready to use straight from the bottle, without mixing or dilution. The only preparation needed is shaking the bottle to evenly distribute the pigment. If you still want a lighter shade or a custom variation, mixing should be done in the ink cap with another ink, never by pouring water into the original bottle.
Does it work on any tattoo machine or do I need a specific one?▾
According to the product description, it is compatible with all types of machines: coil, rotary, and pen. You don't need a special setup. What matters more in practice is the choice of needles and working speed — for fill areas use larger groupings (magnum, shader), and for fine leaf details go with smaller configurations. Voltage and speed adjustments are made as you normally work, not based on the ink.
How do I store it properly and how do I avoid contaminating the bottle?▾
At room temperature, away from direct light and excessive heat, with the cap tightly closed after each use. The golden rule for hygiene: the bottle never touches the client or any used tool. Pour the necessary amount for that client into individual disposable caps, and any leftover is discarded with the cap. Do not pour back into the bottle, even if it seems unused. Wipe the bottle mouth and cap with a disinfectant wipe, and during the session keep the bottle on a barrier-protected surface.
What kind of work is this green suitable for?▾
It is described as a natural, earthy green, oriented towards botanical work: leaves, branches, vegetation, nature scenes, forest themes, and organic green elements. If your tattoo needs a green that looks naturally grown, not a neon or intensely artificial one, this is the register it falls into. For very saturated accents or cool shades, you will probably want a second green in your palette to have contrast.
Can it be mixed with other inks?▾
Yes, it can be mixed with other inks from the same range to obtain intermediate shades — it is even recommended by the manufacturer for customizing your palette. Mixing should always be done in the cap, not in the bottle, and the practical tip is to note the ratio used so you can reproduce the exact same shade at touch-up. When combining different ranges from different manufacturers, first test on a sample surface before taking the mix to the skin.
What does it mean that it is REACH compliant and vegan?▾
REACH is the European regulatory framework that establishes which substances are allowed and in what limits in products, including tattoo inks marketed in the EU — the manufacturer declares this product as compliant with these requirements. 'Vegan' and 'cruelty-free' mean, according to the manufacturer's declaration, that the formula contains no animal-derived ingredients and that no animal testing is conducted. For complete details on composition, batch, and expiration date, the correct source remains the label on the bottle received.
