Guide & full description
Complete guide: Microblading needle 19U 0.25mm
The Microblading Needle 19U 0.25mm is a professional disposable blade, with U configuration (curved arc), consisting of 19 needles with a diameter of 0.25mm, mounted on a surgical stainless steel holder. It is used together with a universal microblading pen for drawing hair strokes. The wide arc of the 19 needles allows covering an extended surface and creating long, highly curved hair strokes, which is why it is recommended for experienced PMU artists who work on bold, dense, and well-defined eyebrows.
How to use
- Check the sealed blister and the sterility indicator before opening; if the packaging is damaged or the indicator does not confirm sterility, do not use the needle.
- Open the packaging just before the procedure, with sanitized hands and gloves on, to maintain the sterility of the needle.
- Mount the needle into the universal microblading pen, ensuring it is securely and stably fixed in the clamping mechanism.
- Get accustomed to the wide arc of the 19U configuration with a test pass, considering that it requires more control than configurations with fewer needles.
- Work the hair strokes respecting the angle and pressure specific to the microblading technique, following the curvature of the arc for long, well-defined strokes.
- Pay attention to the needle's performance during the session; according to the manufacturer, a 19U needle maintains its optimal sharpness for about 45-90 minutes of continuous work — replace it at the first sign of decreased cutting performance.
- If the technique requires it, complement the hair strokes created with the 19U with shading done separately, using a flat blade.
- After use, dispose of the needle in a special sharps container — it is disposable and cannot be resterilized.
Tips from us
- The 19U configuration is one of the largest in the U blade range and requires precise control; if you are a beginner in microblading, consider first smaller configurations (e.g., 9U or 12U) to develop your technique.
- Choose the needle diameter according to the client's skin type: thinner needles (0.18mm/nano) are suitable for fine and sensitive skin, while 0.25mm offers more decisive penetration and more visible strokes on normal or thick skin.
- Store unopened needles in their original packaging at room temperature, away from moisture, direct light, and extreme temperatures.
- Do not reuse or attempt to resterilize the needle — it is a single-use product intended for one client.
- If you want a result with visible hair strokes plus a subtle color background, combine the 19U technique with shading from flat blades.
- Open each needle just before using it, not in advance — sterility is guaranteed only as long as the packaging remains sealed.
Frequently asked questions
How long can a 19U needle be used before it needs to be changed?▾
Being a disposable product, the needle is used for a single client, during a single session. According to the manufacturer, it maintains its optimal sharpness for approximately 45-90 minutes of continuous work, depending on the complexity of the procedure — replacement is recommended at the first sign of decreased cutting performance.
Is the 19U 0.25mm needle suitable for a beginner in microblading?▾
It is not the ideal recommendation for beginners. The 19U configuration has one of the largest arcs in the U blade range, which requires precise control. Beginner artists should first practice with smaller configurations, such as 9U or 12U, before moving on to blades with a high number of needles.
Which microblading pens are compatible with this needle?▾
The 19U 0.25mm needle is compatible with universal microblading pens and holders, due to the standardized dimensions of the metal holder made of surgical stainless steel, which ensures a secure fit in common clamping mechanisms.
How should unopened microblading needles be stored correctly?▾
Store them in the original sealed packaging at room temperature, away from moisture, direct sunlight, and extreme temperatures. Do not open the packaging until just before use and always check the sterility indicator on the blister before using the needle.
What is the difference between the 0.25mm needle and the thinner (0.18mm/nano) variants?▾
Needles of 0.18mm (nano) create thinner hair strokes and are suitable for fine or sensitive skin. Needles of 0.25mm, such as this 19U, offer more decisive penetration and a more generous pigment deposit, suitable for normal or thick skin where a visible and strong hair stroke is desired. The choice depends on the client's skin type and the desired result.
Can the 19U needle be combined with other PMU techniques?▾
Yes. The hair strokes created with the 19U configuration can be complemented with shading done separately, using a flat blade, for a combined result — visible hair strokes in key areas and a subtle color background for a fuller look.
