Guide & full description
Complete guide: Microblading needle 16F 0.25mm
This is a professional precision microblading needle with 16 micro-blades arranged in a single straight, horizontal row (Flat configuration), each blade having a diameter of 0.25 mm. Being the widest configuration in the range, it offers a wide working line, suitable for quick and complete eyebrow fills. It is made of surgical stainless steel, supplied sterile and individually packaged, disposable. It is intended for micropigmentation artists, both beginners and experienced.
How to use
- Before opening, check the integrity of the sealed envelope and the expiration date. If the packaging is damaged or unsealed, do not use the needle.
- Work in a clean, disinfected field, with disposable gloves. Open the sterile envelope just before use to maintain sterility.
- Secure the needle in the microblading pen/holder (compatible with standard holders, including the Microblading Pen), until it sits firmly. The colored holder helps you quickly identify the configuration.
- Prepare and map the eyebrow shape on the client, according to your working technique, before starting to draw the hair strokes.
- Load the blades with pigment: it is retained between the blades by capillary action. With 16 blades, the needle holds a generous amount and reduces the frequency of reloading.
- Draw the lines maintaining a uniform and controlled pressure; the 16F configuration gives you a very wide line, ideal for fills and extensive areas.
- Reload pigment as needed throughout the procedure, for a consistent deposit.
- At the end, remove the needle and dispose of it immediately in a sharps container. Do not reuse or resterilize it.
Tips from us
- Test the sharpness and behavior of the needle on artificial practice skin before working on a client, especially if it's a configuration you rarely use.
- Use 16F for wide coverage and quick fills, but combine it with narrower configurations for details and tips — many artists use 2-3 configurations in the same procedure.
- The 0.25 mm diameter is the universal standard and works on most skin types; for very thin or sensitive skin you can opt for a smaller diameter (0.20 mm).
- Keep an adequate stock of needles: each procedure requires at least one new needle, and a consistent stock avoids interruptions in your schedule.
- Take advantage of the colored holder to organize your needles by configuration and find them quickly during the session.
Frequently asked questions
What does the 16F configuration mean?▾
16F means the needle has 16 micro-blades arranged in a single straight, horizontal row (Flat). This arrangement gives you a very wide working line, suitable for drawing parallel lines that mimic natural hair strokes and for quick fills.
For what skin type is the 0.25 mm diameter suitable?▾
The 0.25 mm diameter is the universal standard in microblading and works well on most skin types, including thicker skin. For very thin or sensitive skin you can choose a smaller diameter, 0.20 mm.
With which pen or holder is it compatible?▾
The needle is compatible with standard microblading pens and holders, including the Microblading Pen. It is secured in the holder until it sits firmly, and the colored holder helps you quickly identify the configuration.
Is the needle sterile and how do I check this?▾
Yes, each needle is sterilized at the factory and individually packaged in a sealed envelope. Before use, check the integrity of the packaging and the expiration date; if the envelope is damaged or unsealed, sterility is no longer guaranteed and the needle should not be used.
Can the needle be reused?▾
No. It is a single-use product. For hygiene and safety reasons, use a new needle for each procedure and for each client, then dispose of it immediately in a sharps container. Do not resterilize it for reuse.
How do I choose between the different F configurations?▾
The choice depends on the working area and technique: configurations with fewer blades (e.g., 7F) are for fine details and tips, medium ones (9-14F) for versatility and medium coverage, and 16-18F for wide coverage. 16F is the most extensive in the range, ideal for fills and large surfaces.
