Guide & full description
Complete guide: Microblading needle 20F 0.25mm
This microblading blade in 20F configuration is a professional consumable for eyebrow micropigmentation, consisting of 20 fine needles with a diameter of 0.25mm, arranged flat in a straight line on a metal support. Due to its large width, it is designed for shading and filling techniques - powder brows, ombré brows, or microblading combinations with shading. It mounts on standard microblading pens and supports and is intended for PMU artists working under sterile conditions.
How to use
- Check the packaging before use: the blister must be sealed and the sterility indicator intact. Do not use the blade if the packaging is damaged or opened.
- Prepare the workstation with new gloves, barrier film on the pen, and disinfected surfaces; open the blister only at the time of use.
- Secure the 20F blade into the clamping mechanism of the microblading pen/holder until it is firmly and stably seated.
- Load the needles with pigment (by dipping or applying) according to your usual workflow.
- Hold the blade at the correct working angle to the skin and perform uniform passes with controlled pressure to deposit the pigment in the superficial layer - the 0.25mm diameter allows controlled penetration.
- Work in fine overlapping passes and reload pigment as needed for uniform and natural color transitions.
- At the end, detach the blade and immediately dispose of it as sharps waste in a dedicated container - do not reuse it on another client.
Tips from us
- Being the widest flat blade, it requires precise control of pressure and angle; if you are a beginner, practice first with smaller configurations (e.g., 12F or 14F) before moving to such a wide blade.
- Use 20F for shading and uniform fills, not for individual hairs - for a hair stroke effect choose a U-shaped (curved) blade.
- Open the blister only immediately before use to avoid compromising the blade's sterility.
- Always check the integrity of the sterility indicator and the condition of the packaging before the procedure.
- Make sure the blade is firmly secured in the pen before starting, for consistent depth control throughout the work.
Frequently asked questions
What does the 20F configuration mean for a microblading needle?▾
The letter 'F' stands for flat and indicates that the needles are arranged in a straight line, not in an arc. The number 20 represents how many individual needles the blade has. Thus, 20F is a flat blade with 20 needles - one of the widest flat blades, covering a large area in a single pass.
What techniques is the 20F blade suitable for?▾
It is especially suitable for shading and filling techniques such as powder brows, ombré brows, and microblading combinations with shading. The large number of needles covers a wide area in one pass and helps create fine, natural color transitions on the eyebrow area.
Is it suitable for beginners?▾
It is recommended more for experienced PMU artists, because the large width of the blade requires precise control of pressure and angle. Beginners should start with smaller configurations (e.g., 12F or 14F) and develop their technique before moving to such wide blades.
What microblading pens is it compatible with?▾
The 20F 0.25mm blade is compatible with standard microblading pens and holders on the market - the metal support has dimensions that fit into common clamping mechanisms. If you use a tool with a non-standard grip, first check the compatibility of the holder.
Can the blade be reused? How do I manage it correctly from a hygienic standpoint?▾
No. It is a single-use consumable: it is used on one client and disposed of immediately after the procedure as sharps waste. The blade is individually sterilized by gamma irradiation and packaged in a sealed blister with a sterility indicator; open it only at the time of use and never reuse a blade.
What is the difference between flat (F) blades and U blades?▾
Flat (F) blades, such as 20F, have needles in a straight line and are ideal for shading and uniform fills. U blades have needles arranged in an arc/semicircle and are preferred for creating individual hair strokes with a natural look. The choice depends on the technique you use and the desired result.
