Guide & full description
Complete guide: Microblading needle 20U 0.25mm
The 20U 0.25mm needle is a microblading blade with 20 needles of 0.25 mm arranged in a curved arc (U configuration), mounted on a surgical stainless steel handle. It is designed for experienced PMU artists who work with the hair stroke technique and need large coverage in a single pass — from bold microblading to complete eyebrow reconstructions. As a sterile, disposable consumable, it is used for a single client and discarded after the procedure.
How to use
- Before opening the blister, check the sterility indicator and the integrity of the packaging. If the foil is damaged or the indicator signals a problem, do not use the needle.
- Open the blister in a clean, disinfected workspace, then firmly attach the blade to a compatible pen (Microblading Pen or a universal pen).
- First, perform the mapping and eyebrow drawing on the skin, as a guide for the direction and length of the strokes.
- Load the pigment by dipping the tip of the blade, so that all 20 needles are evenly covered.
- Perform hair stroke incisions following the natural hair growth direction, with moderate, constant pressure distributed across the entire width of the arc.
- Reload pigment and wipe off excess periodically; check the uniformity of the strokes as you progress.
- At the end, dispose of the blade in a sharps/contaminated medical waste container — do not reuse or attempt to resterilize it.
Tips from us
- The arc is very wide, and the 20 needles contact the skin simultaneously — even light pressure may be enough. Start with light pressure and increase it gradually.
- Practice on artificial skin before working on a client; uniform control on such a wide arc requires training.
- Prefer pigments with a fluid consistency that distribute evenly through all 20 incisions; overly dense pigments can leave uneven buildup on the wide arc.
- Choose the U configuration for curved, natural strokes (hair stroke); for shading or even fills, a straight (F) configuration is more suitable.
- Always have at least one spare blade ready, especially for complex procedures.
- Being one of the widest U blades, it is ideal for quick coverage on large areas; for fine details, such as the tail of the eyebrow, a narrower blade may offer more control.
Frequently asked questions
What level of experience does the 20U needle require?▾
This is an expert-level blade. The very wide arc, with 20 needles, requires precise control to achieve uniform, natural strokes. The manufacturer recommends use by artists with at least 2-3 years of active microblading practice, and practice on artificial skin remains essential.
Which pen is this needle compatible with?▾
It mounts on universal microblading pens, as well as on the Microblading Pen. Ensure the blade is firmly fixed in the holder before starting.
What is the difference between 20U and 20F?▾
The needle configuration differs: in 20U the needles are arranged in an arc (curved), for natural curved hair strokes — the hair stroke technique; in 20F the needles are in a straight line (flat), for shading and even fills. Both have 20 needles of 0.25 mm.
Can I reuse the blade for multiple clients?▾
No. The blade is strictly single-use: it is used for one client and discarded after the procedure, in containers for contaminated medical waste. Reuse and resterilization are prohibited for hygiene reasons.
What pigments can it be used with?▾
It is compatible with professional micropigmentation pigments. Pigments with a fluid consistency are recommended, as they distribute evenly through all 20 incisions made simultaneously; very dense pigments can cause uneven buildup.
How many blades do I need for a procedure?▾
Due to the very wide coverage, usually a single 20U blade is sufficient for both eyebrows. For complex reconstructions, two may be needed. Regardless, it's good to always have a spare blade ready.
