Guide & full description

Complete guide: Microblading needle 9F 0.25mm

The 9F 0.25mm needle is a professional precision consumable for eyebrow microblading procedures. It has 9 micro-blades arranged in a straight, horizontal row (the 'Flat' configuration), each with a diameter of 0.25 mm, made from laser-sharpened surgical stainless steel. It comes sterile, individually packaged in a sealed envelope, and is intended for single use only. It is aimed at micropigmentation artists, both beginners and experienced, who work with the hair stroke technique.

How to use

  1. First, check the integrity of the sealed envelope and the expiration date. If the packaging is damaged or expired, do not use the needle.
  2. Sanitize your hands, put on gloves, and open the sterile envelope only at the moment of the procedure to maintain sterility.
  3. Mount the needle into the microblading pen/holder. The 9F configuration is compatible with all standard microblading pens and holders.
  4. Prepare the client's skin according to your hygiene protocol and perform the eyebrow mapping (outline) before starting the stroke work.
  5. Load the blades with pigment: it is retained by capillary action between the 9 blades, so you reload as you go when you notice the strokes are coming out paler.
  6. Draw the strokes with controlled movements, following the natural hair growth direction. The straight row of blades of the 9F configuration offers a medium working line, suitable for both individual strokes and transition areas.
  7. At the end of the procedure, dispose of the needle. It is a single-use product and cannot be re-sterilized for reuse.

Tips from us

  • Keep several configurations on hand (for example, one for fine details and one or two for versatility). Many artists combine 2-3 configurations in a single procedure.
  • Before working on a client, test the sharpness and behavior of the needle on artificial practice skin.
  • Visually inspect the blades before use: they must be straight, aligned, and free of defects.
  • Use the colored holder on the handle to quickly identify the configuration and organize your needles during the session.
  • Keep a backup stock of the configurations you use most often, so you don't run out between appointments.
Warning: Hygiene and safety: the needle is sterile and single-use. Open the envelope only at the moment of the procedure and only if the seal is intact and the expiration date has not passed; sterility is guaranteed only as long as the packaging remains closed. Do not re-sterilize or reuse the needle between clients, regardless of the method. After use, dispose of it in a sharps container, according to sharps waste management regulations.

Frequently asked questions

What does the 9F configuration mean?

9F means 9 micro-blades arranged in a single straight, horizontal row — 'Flat'. This arrangement offers a medium working line and allows you to draw lines that mimic the natural hair strands of the eyebrow. It is considered one of the most versatile configurations, good for both individual strokes and transition areas.

What type of skin is the 0.25 mm needle suitable for?

The 0.25 mm diameter is the universal standard in microblading and works well on most skin types. For very fine or sensitive skin, some artists prefer a smaller diameter (e.g., 0.20 mm). Choose according to the client's skin and the desired result.

Can I re-sterilize and reuse the needle?

No. It is a single-use product, pre-sterilized from the factory and individually packaged. A new needle is used for each procedure, then discarded. Reuse compromises client hygiene and safety, and the blades no longer guarantee the same sharpness and precision.

Is it compatible with my microblading pen?

Yes. The 9F configuration is compatible with all standard microblading pens and holders, including common microblading pens. It mounts directly into the holder, without special accessories.

How do I choose between the different F configurations?

The choice depends on the working area and technique: configurations with fewer blades are good for fine details and tips, those with more blades for wider coverage. 9F sits in the middle, with a medium and versatile working line — that's why it's a safe choice if you want a single configuration for most situations.

How do I check the quality of the needle before use?

Check the integrity of the sealed envelope and the expiration date, then inspect the blades: they must be straight, aligned, and free of visible defects. Ideally, test the sharpness on artificial practice skin before working on a client.

Can it be used for traditional tattoos?

No. Microblading needles are specifically designed for the eyebrow microblading procedure and are not recommended for traditional tattoos or other procedures. Always use the appropriate tool for the respective procedure.

The 0.25mm diameter of each blade is the industry standard for microblading, producing clear and well-defined lines that naturally mimic eyebrow hair strands. Frequently Asked Questions What does the 9F configuration mean? The 9F configuration means the needle has 9 micro-blades arranged in a straight horizontal row (Flat). This configuration offers a medie working line, allowing drawing of parallel lines that mimic natural eyebrow hair strands. What techniques is the 9F needle suitable for? The 9F needle is suitable for hair stroke microblading technique, filling sparse areas, and creating natural-looking eyebrows. The medie working line makes it versatile for different eyebrow styles and shapes. What skin type is most suitable? The 0.25mm needle is suitable for all skin types, being the universal standard in microblading. It works excellently on normal, combination, and even thicker skin. For very fine or sensitive skin, the 0.20mm diameter may be preferred. Is the needle sterile from the factory? Yes, each needle is pre-sterilized through industrial methods and individually packaged in a sealed pouch. Sterility is guaranteed as long as the packaging remains intact. Check packaging integrity and expiration date before use. How do I choose between different F configurations? The choice depends on the work area and technique: 7F for fine details and tips, 9-10F for versatility, 11-14F for medium coverage, 16-18F for wide coverage. Many artists use 2-3 different configurations in the same procedure. How much pigment does the needle retain? The surgical steel blades retain an optimal amount of pigment between them through capillarity. The number of blades influences the pigment quantity: more blades retain more pigment, reducing reloading frequency during the procedure. Can the needle be used for other procedures? Microblading needles are specifically designed for eyebrow microblading procedures. They are not recommended for traditional tattoos or other cosmetic procedures. Always use the appropriate instrument for the specific procedure. How do I check needle quality before use? Check the sealed packaging integrity, expiration date, and blade appearance (should be straight, aligned, and without visible defects). Test sharpness on artificial practice skin before client use. How many needles should I keep in stock? A stock of at least 50-100 needles in the most used configurations is recommended. Each procedure requires at least one new needle. Maintaining adequate stock prevents work schedule interruptions and ensures constant availability. Are there quality differences between configurations? No, all configurations in the range are made from the same high-quality surgical steel and benefit from the same manufacturing precision. The difference is exclusively in the number of blades and working line width, not in material quality.
