Guide & full description
Complete guide: Microblading needle 9F 0.25mm
The 9F 0.25mm needle is a professional precision consumable for eyebrow microblading procedures. It has 9 micro-blades arranged in a straight, horizontal row (the 'Flat' configuration), each with a diameter of 0.25 mm, made from laser-sharpened surgical stainless steel. It comes sterile, individually packaged in a sealed envelope, and is intended for single use only. It is aimed at micropigmentation artists, both beginners and experienced, who work with the hair stroke technique.
How to use
- First, check the integrity of the sealed envelope and the expiration date. If the packaging is damaged or expired, do not use the needle.
- Sanitize your hands, put on gloves, and open the sterile envelope only at the moment of the procedure to maintain sterility.
- Mount the needle into the microblading pen/holder. The 9F configuration is compatible with all standard microblading pens and holders.
- Prepare the client's skin according to your hygiene protocol and perform the eyebrow mapping (outline) before starting the stroke work.
- Load the blades with pigment: it is retained by capillary action between the 9 blades, so you reload as you go when you notice the strokes are coming out paler.
- Draw the strokes with controlled movements, following the natural hair growth direction. The straight row of blades of the 9F configuration offers a medium working line, suitable for both individual strokes and transition areas.
- At the end of the procedure, dispose of the needle. It is a single-use product and cannot be re-sterilized for reuse.
Tips from us
- Keep several configurations on hand (for example, one for fine details and one or two for versatility). Many artists combine 2-3 configurations in a single procedure.
- Before working on a client, test the sharpness and behavior of the needle on artificial practice skin.
- Visually inspect the blades before use: they must be straight, aligned, and free of defects.
- Use the colored holder on the handle to quickly identify the configuration and organize your needles during the session.
- Keep a backup stock of the configurations you use most often, so you don't run out between appointments.
Frequently asked questions
What does the 9F configuration mean?▾
9F means 9 micro-blades arranged in a single straight, horizontal row — 'Flat'. This arrangement offers a medium working line and allows you to draw lines that mimic the natural hair strands of the eyebrow. It is considered one of the most versatile configurations, good for both individual strokes and transition areas.
What type of skin is the 0.25 mm needle suitable for?▾
The 0.25 mm diameter is the universal standard in microblading and works well on most skin types. For very fine or sensitive skin, some artists prefer a smaller diameter (e.g., 0.20 mm). Choose according to the client's skin and the desired result.
Can I re-sterilize and reuse the needle?▾
No. It is a single-use product, pre-sterilized from the factory and individually packaged. A new needle is used for each procedure, then discarded. Reuse compromises client hygiene and safety, and the blades no longer guarantee the same sharpness and precision.
Is it compatible with my microblading pen?▾
Yes. The 9F configuration is compatible with all standard microblading pens and holders, including common microblading pens. It mounts directly into the holder, without special accessories.
How do I choose between the different F configurations?▾
The choice depends on the working area and technique: configurations with fewer blades are good for fine details and tips, those with more blades for wider coverage. 9F sits in the middle, with a medium and versatile working line — that's why it's a safe choice if you want a single configuration for most situations.
How do I check the quality of the needle before use?▾
Check the integrity of the sealed envelope and the expiration date, then inspect the blades: they must be straight, aligned, and free of visible defects. Ideally, test the sharpness on artificial practice skin before working on a client.
Can it be used for traditional tattoos?▾
No. Microblading needles are specifically designed for the eyebrow microblading procedure and are not recommended for traditional tattoos or other procedures. Always use the appropriate tool for the respective procedure.
