Guide & full description

Complete guide: Pro Wrap 2.5cm x 4.5m Blue

The Pro Wrap 2.5cm x 4.5m Blue elastic bandage is the narrow version of the self-adherent cohesive Pro Wrap bandage, designed for situations where the standard 5cm width would be excessive. It is used for securing bandages on small or narrow areas of the body (fingers, wrist, behind the ear), for protecting the artist's fingers during long sessions, and for wrapping thin grips of compact machines. It is a single-use consumable per session, suitable for both studio artists and mobile convention kits.

How to use

  1. Determine the use: protection for the artist's fingers, securing a bandage on a small/narrow area, or additional wrapping over the machine grip.
  2. Unroll the required length from the roll and cut it (with scissors or by tearing manually).
  3. For finger protection: wrap 2-3 layers around the thumb and/or index finger — the hand holding the machine — with moderate and even tension, then wear the nitrile glove over the bandage.
  4. For securing a bandage: position the bandage on the area, then wrap the bandage over it, partially overlapping each wrap over the previous one, for complete fixation without gaps.
  5. For grip: wrap in a spiral, tightly and evenly, over the machine handle or over an existing 5cm bandage, for additional thickness and comfort.
  6. Gently press each layer — the bandage activates through cohesion and adheres only to itself, not to skin, hair, or gloves.
  7. Check that the applied tension is comfortable, without restricting circulation or movement.
  8. After the session, remove and discard the bandage — it is a single-use product per session.

Tips from us

  • For finger protection, 2-3 layers provide a good balance between cushioning and maintaining the tactile sensitivity needed for work.
  • The 2.5cm width is suitable for narrow areas (fingers, wrist, behind the ear); for larger surfaces, such as standard grips or bandages on limbs, the 5cm width covers more efficiently.
  • Store the roll in a dry, clean place until use to preserve the cohesive adhesion.
  • Do not stretch the bandage to its maximum on the first wrap — keep some elasticity reserve for later adjustments.
  • Being self-adhesive only to itself, it does not require additional tape or clips for fixation.
  • Keep a backup stock if you use the bandage daily for finger protection during long sessions.
Warning: It is a single-use product per session — do not reuse it on different clients and discard it after each use, following good hygiene practices in tattooing. Being latex-free certified (CE), it is safe for artists and clients with a latex allergy. The bandage adheres exclusively to its own surface, not to skin or hair, but still check the applied tension, especially on areas with more sensitive circulation (fingers, wrist), to avoid excessive compression.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between Pro Wrap 2.5cm and the 5cm version?

The technical properties are identical — same composition (95% PPSB non-woven material, 5% spandex), same elasticity of up to 150%, and same resistance to water, green soap, and tattoo ink. Only the width differs: 2.5cm is suitable for narrow areas (fingers, wrist, behind the ear) and for protecting the artist's fingers, while 5cm covers standard grips and bandages on larger areas more efficiently. Many artists keep both widths in their kit.

Is the bandage safe for those with a latex allergy?

Yes. The composition is 100% latex-free, CE certified, so it can be used without the risk of latex-specific allergic reactions, for both the artist and the client.

How do I apply the bandage for finger protection during long sessions?

Wrap 2-3 layers around the thumb and index finger — the hand holding the machine — with even tension, then wear the nitrile glove over the bandage. The material does not slip or come undone under the glove, providing cushioning against friction and fatigue without affecting tactile sensitivity.

Can the roll be reused on multiple clients?

No. It is a single-use product per session — the bandage segment used on one client is discarded after use, not disinfected for reuse. Each batch is traceable, which helps with compliance in case of a hygiene inspection.

Does the bandage leave adhesive residue on the skin?

No. Being cohesive, the bandage adheres exclusively to its own surface, not to skin, hair, or nitrile gloves. Removal is painless and leaves no sticky residue on the treated area.

Which width should I choose if I want to wrap the grip of a compact machine?

For thin grips, the 2.5cm width is suitable — it requires more wraps than 5cm for the same length, but allows finer control of thickness on different areas of the handle. If you prefer quick coverage with fewer wraps, the 5cm width is the standard choice for grip wrapping.

Pro Wrap elastic bandage 2.5cm x 4.5m Blue is the narrow variant of the Pro Wrap cohesive self-adhesive bandage, designed for applications where the standard 5 cm width is excessive. The 2.5 cm width is perfect for: wrapping thin grips, securing dressings on small or narrow body areas (fingers, wrist, behind-the-ear area), and protecting the artist's fingers against fatigue and calluses during long sessions.
