Guide & full description

Complete guide: Biotat Numbing PMU Butter 100g

Biotat Numbing PMU Butter 100g is a natural numbing butter, specially developed for micropigmentation (PMU) procedures — eyebrows, lips and eyeliner. It is designed for PMU/microblading artists who work on small and delicate areas of the face, where precision matters as much as calming the client. The formula is 100% natural, manufactured in the UK according to ISO9001 and ISO22716 standards, CPNP registered, vegan and cruelty-free — without lidocaine, with the numbing effect coming from natural eugenol extracted from cloves, combined with aloe vera and lavender.

How to use

  1. Clean the work area according to your usual protocol (e.g. with Green Soap), before applying the butter.
  2. Apply a thin, even layer of Numbing PMU Butter directly on the work area — eyebrows, lip contour or lash line.
  3. Leave the product on for a few minutes before starting the procedure, so that the clove eugenol can take effect.
  4. Reapply a thin layer after each cleaning of the area during the session, to maintain both the numbing effect and the protective barrier.
  5. For eyeliner, work carefully and avoid direct contact with the ocular mucosa.
  6. Dose according to the procedure — eyebrows and eyeliner require small amounts; the 100g jar is sized for many sessions.
  7. It can also be used as aftercare, applied sparingly on the treated area, after the procedure is completed.

Tips from us

  • Remove the product from the jar with a clean spatula or a disposable applicator for each client, not directly with your finger or an already used tool — you reduce the risk of cross-contamination.
  • Apply in a thin layer: the fine consistency of this PMU Butter is designed for small surfaces, so an excess of product does not speed up the effect, only hinders line precision.
  • Keep the container tightly closed between uses, away from direct light and heat, like any cosmetic product based on natural oils.
  • If you also work on larger areas of the body, keep in mind that this PMU version is optimized for the face — for large surfaces there is the standard Tattoo Butter version, with a thicker consistency.
  • Being based on clove eugenol, ask in advance if the client has known sensitivities or allergies to essential oils.
  • The formula is compatible with common PMU pigments, organic and inorganic, so it integrates naturally into your existing protocol, regardless of the pigment brand you work with.
Warning: Avoid direct contact with the ocular mucosa, especially during eyeliner procedures. Although the formula does not contain lidocaine or other synthetic anesthetics, the natural ingredients (clove oil/eugenol, lavender) may cause reactions in people with known sensitivities or allergies — if in doubt, test on a small area before the procedure. It does not replace the client's medical evaluation and does not substitute for the standard hygiene and safety protocols in your studio. Keep out of reach of children.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between PMU Butter and classic Tattoo Butter?

PMU Butter has a finer consistency, specially designed for the small and delicate surfaces of the face — eyebrows, lips, eyeliner. Standard Tattoo Butter is thicker and is used on larger areas of the body. Both are based on natural eugenol, but PMU Butter is optimized for the precision required by micropigmentation.

Is it safe for the eye area, for PMU eyeliner?

Yes, the formula is designed for the delicate areas of the face, including the periorbital area. Being without lidocaine and without synthetic chemicals, the risk of irritation is reduced, but direct contact with the ocular mucosa must still be avoided and standard safety protocols for PMU procedures in the eye area must be followed.

How much product is consumed per procedure — how long does a 100g jar last?

Very little, because the working surfaces in PMU are small. As a guide, a 100g jar covers approximately 40-60 eyebrow procedures or 50-70 eyeliner procedures, applied in a thin layer and reapplied after each cleaning of the area.

How do I apply the product without risking cross-contamination between clients?

Always remove the product from the jar with a clean spatula or a disposable applicator, never directly with your finger or with a tool already used on another client. This way the jar remains clean throughout its use and you avoid transferring bacteria between clients.

Is it compatible with the PMU pigments I already use?

Yes — the formula is chemically neutral and does not interact with pigments, whether organic or inorganic, so it can be seamlessly integrated into your current protocol, regardless of the pigment brand you work with.

Does it contain lidocaine or other synthetic anesthetic?

No. The numbing effect comes exclusively from the natural eugenol in clove oil, combined with aloe vera and lavender. The formula is 100% natural, without lidocaine, dyes or artificial fragrance.

Product description

BIOAT Numbing PMU Butter Biotat Numbing PMU Butter is 100% natural, made in the UK, luxurious butter containing clove oil, aloe vera and lavender to numb the skin and reduce inflammation. It is 100% without lidocaine. COMPLETELY NATURALBiotat uses only natural ingredients to produce PMU butter. Even the labels are printed from recycled, degradable and "cellulose-free" stock. The composition of the product is very simple: shea butters, glycerin, Syzygium Aromaticum (cloves), lavender, aloe vera REDUCES PAIN AND INFLAMMATIONBiotat cushioning PMU butter without dyes and artificial fragrance. Eugenol, present in clove oil, aloe vera and lavender, reduces pain and numbs the area. Thanks to its antibacterial properties, butter reduces redness and inflammation. Quantity: 100 ml INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE: Apply as needed, it can also be used in moderation as an aftercare. CONTAINS: Shea Butter, Glycerin, Syzygium Aromaticum (Cloves), Lavender, Aloe Vera. Biotat Numbing PMU Butter 100g is the numbing butter specially formulated for micropigmentation (Permanent Makeup) procedures. Designed specifically for delicate facial areas — eyebrows, lips, and eyeliner — this product offers an optimised consistency that protects fragile facial skin during PMU procedures without compromising artist precision. The active ingredient is natural eugenol extracted from cloves, a plant-based anaesthetic that reduces client discomfort without lidocaine or other synthetic anaesthetics. The PMU Butter formula differs from the standard Tattoo Butter through its finer consistency that is easier to apply on small facial surfaces. It provides a protective barrier that maintains skin hydration and prevents excessive irritation caused by repeated needle passes in sensitive areas. The antibacterial properties of eugenol offer additional protection in the facial area, where infection risk can be higher. Manufactured in the United Kingdom to ISO9001 and ISO22716 standards, CPNP registered, vegan and cruelty-free. The 100g format is ideally sized for PMU artists, providing sufficient product for numerous procedures. Frequently Asked Questions What is the difference between PMU Butter and Tattoo Butter? PMU Butter is specially formulated for delicate facial areas, with a finer consistency that is easier to apply on small surfaces around the eyebrows, lips, and eyes. Standard Tattoo Butter is designed for larger body areas and has a thicker consistency. Both contain natural eugenol, but PMU Butter is optimised for the precision needed in micropigmentation procedures. Is it safe for the eye area (eyeliner PMU)? Yes, Biotat PMU Butter is specially formulated for delicate facial areas, including the periorbital zone for eyeliner procedures. The formula free from synthetic chemicals, chlorhexidine, and lidocaine minimises irritation risk in this extremely sensitive area. However, avoid direct contact with the ocular mucosa and always follow standard safety protocols for ocular PMU procedures. How much product is needed per PMU procedure? PMU procedures require a very small amount of product per session due to the small working surfaces. A 100g container can cover approximately 40-60 eyebrow procedures or 50-70 eyeliner procedures. Apply a thin, even layer on the work area and reapply after each cleaning. Avoid over-application which could affect line precision. Does it affect pigment retention in the skin? No, Biotat PMU Butter is formulated not to interfere with pigment penetration and retention in the skin. The formula contains no ingredients that could block pigment absorption or alter PMU procedure results. Many PMU artists report even better pigment retention due to the skin being better protected and moisturised during the procedure. Can it be used for microblading procedures? Yes, Biotat PMU Butter is excellent for microblading procedures as well. The fine consistency allows clear visibility of strokes and does not interfere with manual technique. The anaesthetic effect of eugenol is particularly appreciated in microblading, where work areas are compact and sensitive. The protective barrier maintains skin hydration throughout the entire procedure. Is it compatible with all types of PMU pigments? Yes, Biotat PMU Butter is compatible with all brands and types of PMU pigments — both organic and inorganic. The neutral formula does not chemically interact with pigments and does not alter colours. It can be used with Biotek, Permablend, Li Pigments, Phi Contour, and any other professional PMU pigment brand. How does it integrate into the complete PMU protocol? The Biotat PMU protocol begins with cleaning the area with Green Soap for skin preparation, followed by PMU Butter application as a protective barrier and lubricant throughout the procedure. After completing the procedure, a final layer of PMU Butter can be applied for immediate protection. All Biotat products contain eugenol, ensuring a continuous anaesthetic effect. Are there risks for clients with clove allergy? Clients with known allergy to cloves or eugenol should avoid Biotat products, as the primary active ingredient is eugenol extracted from cloves. We always recommend performing a patch test on a small area 24 hours before the procedure for new clients or those with known sensitivities. In case of reaction, discontinue use immediately. Can it be used as aftercare after a PMU procedure? PMU Butter can be applied as a protective layer immediately after the procedure, but for long-term post-procedural care a dedicated aftercare product is recommended. Biotat PMU Butter is optimised for use during the procedure, not as a healing treatment. For the 7-14 days of post-PMU healing, follow the specific recommendations of your PMU artist. Why is there no 500g format for PMU Butter? The 100g format is optimally sized for PMU procedures, which consume a much smaller amount of product per session compared to traditional tattoos. A 100g container can last months even for a full-schedule PMU artist. The smaller format also ensures product freshness, being consumed before expiration. For traditional tattoos, Biotat offers Tattoo Butter in the 500g format.
