Unistar Silicone Ink Cups for Large Needles Set 20 pcs

Complete guide: Unistar Silicone Ink Cups for Large Needles Set 20 pcs

When working with large needle configurations, standard ink caps quickly become insufficient: the ink runs out often and pickup is awkward. This set of 20 silicone ink caps is designed exactly for such situations — the manufacturer's description recommends them for the largest Combat configurations, including the 85-needle one. The bullet-inspired shape gathers the ink at a single point, so pickup is uniform, comfortable, and clean. They are useful for artists doing fill, blackwork, or any work where a lot of ink goes over large areas.

How to use

1. Prepare your work station: disinfect the surface and cover it with a disposable protective barrier, as for any session.
2. With clean gloves, remove from the set only the number of ink caps needed for the current session — the rest remain in the packaging, protected from contamination.
3. Place the ink caps on the work area or in an ink cap holder, so they stay stable throughout the session.
4. Pour ink from the bottle into each ink cap, without the bottle tip touching the cap — put only as much as you estimate you will use.
5. During work, pick up ink with the needle tip from the center of the cap: the bullet shape makes the ink flow to a single point, so pickup remains constant even with a large configuration.
6. Top up with ink if needed, again without contact between bottle and cap.
7. At the end of the session, discard all used caps along with the remaining ink — never pour ink back into the original bottle.
8. Clean and disinfect the work station according to your usual procedure.

Tips from us

• Match the size of the ink cap to the needle configuration: this set is intended for large needles — for fine liners or details, small caps reduce ink waste.
• Estimate consumption before pouring: large configurations take up a lot of ink, so fill accordingly to avoid frequent interruptions for refills.
• Use an ink cap holder if working in a crowded area — it keeps your inks organized and reduces the risk of tipping.
• If working with multiple colors, group the ink caps logically (e.g. from dark to light) to avoid picking up from the wrong cap.
• Open the packaging and handle clean caps only with gloves — anything that goes on the work field is considered used.
