Guide & full description
Complete guide: Proton Aftercare Cream 40ml
An aftercare cream designed for the early stages of healing a fresh tattoo, with a plant-based formula developed in Proton laboratories in Spain. It combines 10% Centella Asiatica and 5% Panthenol (Provitamin B5) with shea butter, calendula, natural oils, and vitamin E, without alcohol, silicones, parabens, PEGs, colorants, or artificial fragrances. It absorbs quickly and leaves no greasy residue, making it suitable both for clients caring for their tattoo at home and for artists recommending a clean, vegan aftercare. The 40 ml tube conveniently covers the daily care routine throughout healing.
How to use
- Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water before any contact with the fresh tattoo — the area is essentially an open wound.
- Gently clean the tattoo with lukewarm water and a mild, fragrance-free soap, then rinse thoroughly.
- Dry the area by gently patting with a clean, disposable paper towel — do not rub the skin.
- Apply a thin layer of cream to the clean, dry tattoo; a small amount is sufficient.
- Massage gently until absorbed — the formula quickly penetrates the skin without a greasy film.
- Repeat application 2-3 times a day throughout the healing process.
- Do not apply excessively: the skin needs to breathe, and a thick layer of cream can keep the area moist longer than necessary.
Tips from us
- Less is more — a thin layer applied regularly is more beneficial than a thick one applied rarely; excess cream can soften the fine scabs that form naturally.
- Keep the tube strictly for personal use and do not touch the tube tip directly to the tattoo — dispense cream onto your clean hand and apply from there.
- Wear loose, clean clothing over the tattooed area during healing to reduce friction over the cream.
- Avoid exposing the fresh tattoo to sun, pool, sauna, or prolonged baths during healing — the aftercare cream does not replace these basic measures.
- The formula is vegan and free of artificial fragrances, so it is a choice to consider if you prefer products with a short ingredient list; if you know you have very reactive skin, test it first on a small area of intact skin.
- For studios: the product is also available in packs of 25 pieces, practical if you want to offer or recommend the same aftercare to clients after each session.
Frequently asked questions
How many times a day should I apply the cream and for how long should I continue?▾
The manufacturer's recommendation is a thin layer 2-3 times a day on the clean, dry tattoo throughout the entire healing process. Do not apply in large amounts — the formula absorbs quickly, and a thin layer is sufficient. The exact healing time varies from person to person and from tattoo to tattoo, so also follow your artist's instructions.
Is it suitable for sensitive skin?▾
The formula is designed without alcohol, PEGs, silicones, parabens, colorants, declared allergens, and artificial fragrances, so it is among the clean composition options in the aftercare category. However, every skin reacts differently: if you have a history of reactions to cosmetic products, test the cream on a small area of intact skin before using it on the tattoo and stop use if irritation occurs.
What does the formula actually contain and how is it different?▾
The main active ingredients are 10% Centella Asiatica and 5% Panthenol (Provitamin B5), complemented by shea butter, calendula, coconut oil, sweet almond oil, sesame oil, vitamin E, and vegetable glycerin. The base is plant-based, and the formula was developed in Proton laboratories in Spain, by tattoo artists for tattoo artists. The difference from many standard creams lies in the declared concentration of active ingredients and the exclusion list: no alcohol, silicones, parabens, or artificial fragrances.
Is the product vegan? Where is it manufactured?▾
Yes, the cream is 100% vegan and not tested on animals — all ingredients are of plant origin. It is developed and manufactured entirely in Spain, according to European standards for cosmetic products.
How do I apply the cream hygienically to avoid contaminating my tattoo?▾
Wash your hands before each application, clean and dry the tattoo by patting with a disposable paper towel, then dispense the cream from the tube without touching the tube tip to the skin. Apply and massage only with clean hands. Do not share the tube with anyone else — an aftercare used on a fresh tattoo must remain strictly for personal use.
Can I also use the cream on already healed tattoos?▾
The product is primarily created for the care of fresh tattoos in the early stages of healing. As a general category rule, hydrated skin maintains a better appearance of tattoos, so a moisturizing cream remains useful in the long term — but for healed tattoos, the purpose becomes simple skin maintenance, not actual aftercare.
