Guide & full description
Complete guide: Aluminum storage box 45cm x 33cmx15cm
A transport and storage case made of aluminum, in the large size of 45×33×15 cm, designed for artists who take their equipment to conventions, guest spots, or work in multiple locations. It weighs only 2.62 kg empty, supports up to 25 kg of equipment, and the padded interior and lock with two keys keep machines, power supplies, and consumables safe on the road. It is equally useful in the studio as an organized and lockable storage space for valuable equipment.
How to use
- Unpack the case and check the hinges, lock, and the 2 included keys — keep one key in a separate place from the case as a backup.
- Wipe the interior and exterior before first use, then leave the case open for a few minutes to air out.
- Organize the interior by zones: heavy and sensitive equipment (machines, power supply) at the bottom of the case, light consumables on top; you can add your own dividers or organizers for compartmentalization.
- Secure ink bottles and items that can roll so they do not move during transport — the interior foam absorbs shocks, but the contents must stay stable.
- Do not exceed the maximum capacity of 25 kg; distribute the weight evenly so the handle and hinges are not stressed on one side only.
- Close the lid, lock the case with the key, and carry it by the ergonomic handle; in the car, place it horizontally, not on its edge.
- At the destination, unlock, remove the equipment onto the prepared work surface, and keep the case closed during the session to keep the interior clean.
- After each trip, wipe the aluminum exterior with a cloth and check the interior for any ink spills before reloading the case.
Tips from us
- Keep sterile consumables (cartridges, needles, barriers) in their original sealed packaging and, ideally, in a separate bag or box inside — the case protects during transport but is not a sterile environment.
- Place ink bottles in resealable bags before putting them in the case: if a cap fails on the road, you clean a bag, not the interior foam.
- Make a content list and stick it on the inside of the lid — at conventions, you check in 30 seconds that you packed everything before returning.
- Do not leave the case in the car in the sun: aluminum heats up quickly, and inks and consumables should not be kept at high temperatures.
- If you frequently transport the same configuration, cut foam compartments to the shape of the equipment — each piece will have its own fixed place.
- Periodically check the reinforced corners, hinges, and lock; a case that closes securely makes all the difference between safe transport and damaged equipment.
Frequently asked questions
What realistically fits in a 45×33×15 cm case?▾
A complete work kit for travel: one or two tattoo machines, power supply, cables, cartridges, grips, ink bottles, and small accessories. It is the large version, so it covers the equipment needed for a convention or a guest spot. Keep in mind the 25 kg limit and the interior height of approximately 15 cm when planning what to place in it — tall objects must be laid flat.
How much does it weigh and how much can it hold?▾
Empty, the case weighs 2.62 kg — aluminum is significantly lighter than steel, so you do not add much to the total baggage weight. The maximum capacity is 25 kg, sufficient for the typical travel equipment of an artist. The reinforced metal corners and sturdy hinges are designed for intensive use.
Is the equipment protected on the road? How do I prepare the case for transport?▾
The interior is lined with foam that absorbs shocks and vibrations during transport. For best results, place heavy equipment at the bottom, secure bottles and items that can move, and fill gaps so nothing bumps between pieces. The lock closure prevents accidental opening of the lid on the road.
How do I maintain the case from a hygiene perspective?▾
The aluminum exterior is scratch-resistant and wipes clean easily with a damp cloth or a regular cleaning product. Check the interior after each transport: if a bottle has leaked, clean the affected area immediately. The basic rule: only clean equipment and sealed consumables go into the case — used tools are cleaned and processed in the studio before being repacked. This way, the case remains a clean storage space, not a source of contamination.
How do I choose between this large version and a smaller one?▾
Choose the large version (45×33×15 cm) if you transport a complete kit — multiple machines, power supply, inks, and consumables for a full day of work — or if you want a single case for everything. A smaller version makes sense only for a minimal setup or as a second case dedicated to consumables. When traveling, a single spacious case with everything organized inside is usually more practical than several small bags.
What happens if I lose the keys? Can I organize the interior differently?▾
The case comes with 2 keys — keep one at home or in the studio, separate from the case, exactly for the situation where you lose the everyday one. As for the interior, it can be customized with additional compartments, foam dividers, or organizers to adapt it to the exact configuration of your equipment.
