Guide & full description

Complete guide: Spirit Green Tattoo Thermal Paper 37cm*21.5cm

The Spirit Green long thermal transfer sheet, 37 x 21.5 cm, is the green stencil variant of the Spirit transfer paper, designed for both thermal printer printing and manual tracing with a stylus. It is useful for artists seeking a different contrast from the classic violet — especially under white LED light, the standard in modern studios — and who frequently work with light and medium skin tones. As a single-use consumable, each sheet transfers one design onto the skin before tattooing begins.

How to use

Prepare the design (digital file for thermal printing, or a sketch to trace manually onto the sheet).
If using a thermal printer (e.g., Brother PocketJet or another compatible professional thermal printer), load the sheet correctly and print the stencil; alternatively, trace the design manually with a stylus, applying even pressure on the sheet.
Clean, shave, and thoroughly dry the skin area where the transfer will be applied.
Apply a layer of compatible stencil solution — recommended Spirit Green Transfer Cream, or alternatively Electrum, Spirit Stencil, Stencil Stuff — on the prepared area.
Place the sheet with the printed/traced side onto the skin and press evenly over the entire surface without sliding, for a clear transfer with no missing areas.
Carefully peel off the sheet from one end to the other, and let the green stencil dry slightly before starting work.
Check the visibility of the lines under your studio work light and, if needed, manually retouch less visible areas.

Tips from us

On very dark skin tones, the contrast of the Green variant may be slightly weaker than the Classic violet — apply a thicker layer of stencil solution for optimal visibility.
The large sheet format (37 x 21.5 cm) allows transferring a large design in one piece, without taping multiple sheets together.
The sheet works both with a thermal printer and by manual tracing — choose the method that suits your workflow and available equipment.
Use only stencil solutions compatible with Spirit thermal sheets for best transfer results.
Store unused sheets in their individual packaging, protected from moisture and pressure, until use.

Warning: Each sheet is single-use — do not reuse an already transferred sheet and do not reuse stencil solution left on the skin from one client to another. Follow standard studio hygiene protocols: washed hands and clean gloves, disinfected work surface, client skin cleaned and dried before application. Even though the formula is described as hypoallergenic, test on a small area when working with clients who have sensitive skin or a history of allergic reactions.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between Spirit Green and Spirit Classic (the classic violet)?▾

The main difference is the transfer color — Green produces a green stencil instead of violet — and the type of contrast obtained under white LED light, the standard in modern studios, where green can be easier to follow with the naked eye. The usage method, compatibility with stencil solutions, and behavior on the skin remain the same as the classic variant.

Does the green transfer show well on dark skin?▾

On medium and light skin tones, visibility is good. On very dark skin tones, the Classic violet variant may offer slightly superior contrast; for better results with Green on dark skin, use a generous layer of stencil solution and let the transfer dry completely before starting.

What stencil solution should I use with this sheet?▾

Spirit Green Transfer Cream is recommended, but the sheet is also compatible with other professional stencil solutions such as Electrum or Stencil Stuff.

Can I use the sheet without a thermal printer?▾

Yes — the sheet is designed for dual compatibility: it can be printed on a thermal printer, but can equally be traced manually with a stylus, without any special equipment.

How should I store unused sheets and how long do they last after opening?▾

Keep them in their original packaging, protected from moisture, heat, and pressure, and avoid touching the treated face before use to prevent compromising their transfer capability.

Product description

Spirit Green Tattoo Thermal Paper 37cm*21.5cm For the tattoo artists who've asked for different color thermal paper, Spirit has made the first ever green-colored transfer paper available to the industry. Spirit Green Thermal Transfer Paper works just like the Original Thermal, but has an updated formula that renders a more vivid stencil that lasts longer. The green stencil uses superior quality green dyes that have exceptionally high visibility, and works great with dark skin tones. Like other Spirit products, this paper is vegan-friendly and safe to use on most skin types. It is compatible with all thermal printers and should be used with Spirit Green Transfer Cream for best results. Specifications: Sheet Size: 37cm*21.5cm Compatible with all thermal printers Uses high visibility green dyes; great for dark skin tones Vegan-friendly; safe for most skin types Use with Spirit Green Transfer Cream Manufactured in the USA The Spirit Long Green Transfer Sheet 37cm x 21.5cm is the eco-friendly and visibility-optimized variant of the Spirit long sheet, producing a distinctive green-colored transfer instead of the classic violet. Developed by Repro FX in response to growing demand for more sustainable formulations and improved contrast, the Green variant uses a reformulated plant-based pigment that offers excellent visibility on fair and medium skin tones while maintaining necessary clarity on darker skin. The extended 37cm x 21.5cm format provides the same generous surface area as the Classic variant — 75% more than A4 — enabling complete transfer of large designs on a single sheet. Dual thermal printer / manual tracing compatibility makes this sheet extremely versatile: it works natively with Brother Pocket Jet, dedicated Spirit printers, and other professional thermal printers, but can also be used for manual tracing with a stylus. The Spirit Green pigment has specific technical advantages: green-on-skin contrast is more easily processed by the human eye than violet-on-skin under artificial lighting (white LED or fluorescent), which is the standard in most modern studios. The Green formula is dermatologically tested, non-toxic, hypoallergenic, vegan, and contains no animal-derived ingredients. It cleans from skin just as easily as the classic variant. The green transfer behaves identically to violet in interaction with stencil solutions — fully compatible with Electrum, Spirit Stencil, Stencil Stuff, and all other professional solutions. Individual packaging with anti-transfer protection. The industry trend is progressively moving toward the Green variant, with increasing adoption across Europe and North America.
