The Biotek Scarlet Rose 114 pencil is a cosmetic pre-drawing tool, used in the contouring phase before permanent makeup (PMU) procedures on the lips. Its shade is a warm pink-red, with a coral undertone, which works on a wide spectrum of skin tones — useful when you want a realistic preview of the result before starting the actual work. It is manufactured by Biotek Italia and uses the same pigment base as their range of permanent makeup products, so the preparatory drawing visually resembles the final result. It is intended for micropigmentation/microblading artists working on the lip area (lip blush, lip liner).

How to use

1. Sanitize the client's lip area according to your usual protocol before starting any marking.
2. Sharpen the pencil with a clean, dedicated sharpener — do not use it on multiple clients without disinfecting between uses.
3. Trace the lip contour exactly on the natural line, without exceeding the actual lip border.
4. Fill the inside of the contour with a gradient, applying decreasing pressure from the edges toward the center, for a natural color transition.
5. If you want an ombré effect, combine the shade with other Biotek pencils from the range — for example, a lighter one toward the center and 114 on the contour.
6. Show the drawing to the client before starting the procedure and adjust the symmetry if needed.
7. At the end, completely remove the pencil marks with an oil-based makeup remover — the Biotek waxy formula wipes off without residue.
8. Close the pencil tightly after use and store it away from heat, so the wax does not lose its consistency.
