Guide & full description
Complete guide: Balm Tattoo Stencil Fluor 50 ml
A transfer gel for tattoo stencils, with a gel-like texture and a fluorescent green color that makes guide lines visible on any skin tone. The formula contains Aloe Vera, is 100% vegan, and is manufactured in Spain, and the transfer lasts on the skin for over 15 hours without wiping off during the session. The 50 ml format is the most compact in the range — suitable for individual artists, for testing the product, or for working on the go and at conventions.
How to use
- Prepare the work area: the skin must be clean, dry, and, according to standard practice, shaved and degreased before transfer.
- Hygienically dispense a small amount of gel — ideally with a disposable spatula or on a barrier surface, not directly from the bottle with used gloves.
- Spread the gel on the skin with circular motions, in a thin and even layer.
- Place the stencil on the prepared area and press immediately, evenly, so it adheres properly over the entire surface.
- Wait approximately 2 minutes with the stencil on the skin.
- Remove the stencil paper carefully, with a slow motion.
- Let the transfer dry for another approximately 10 minutes before starting to tattoo — only then are the lines properly set.
Tips from us
- A thin layer is the secret to a clean transfer: too much gel leads to blurry lines and lost details, especially with fine designs.
- The fluorescent green color provides good contrast even on dark skin tones, where regular transfer solutions are hard to see — a real advantage for work on dark skin.
- Respect the 10-minute drying time before starting work; a rushed stencil wipes off much more easily at the first contact with the glove or work solution.
- If you are using the product for the first time, test the timing on a small area until you get into the rhythm — each artist calibrates their amount and application pressure.
- The 50 ml format is designed for testing, individual use, and transport; if you work high volume in the studio, the same formula is also available in 100 ml and 250 ml formats.
- Close the bottle tightly after each use so the gel maintains its texture and does not become contaminated.
Frequently asked questions
How long does the stencil last on the skin with this gel?▾
The formula ensures durability of over 15 hours on the skin, and the gel does not wipe off during tattooing — the guide lines remain visible and intact throughout the entire session, including long sessions.
Is it visible on dark skin?▾
Yes, the fluorescent green color is specially designed for visibility on any skin tone. The fluorescence provides clear contrast even on dark skin tones, where classic transfer gels can be hard to follow.
Does the 50 ml format have the same formula as the larger ones? Which format should I choose?▾
Yes, the formula is identical in all three formats — 50 ml, 100 ml, and 250 ml — with the same transfer performance and durability. Choose 50 ml for testing, individual use, or travel and conventions, 100 ml for medium workload, and 250 ml for high-volume studios.
How do I keep the bottle hygienic between clients?▾
Dispense the required amount at the beginning of the session, on a barrier surface or with a disposable spatula, and do not touch the bottle with gloves used during work. After use, close the cap tightly and wipe the outside of the bottle during workstation decontamination, like any other touched surface.
Is it suitable for sensitive skin? Is it vegan?▾
The gel contains Aloe Vera, which soothes and protects the skin, and the formula is designed not to cause irritation. The product is 100% vegan, not tested on animals, and manufactured in Spain according to European standards. As with any product applied to the skin, stop use if an unusual reaction occurs.
Why do I need to wait after removing the stencil? Can't I start directly?▾
After removing the stencil, the transfer needs about 10 minutes of drying to set on the skin. If you start immediately, the fresh lines can smudge or wipe off upon contact with the glove, work Vaseline, or solutions used during the session. Those few minutes of patience make the difference between a stencil that lasts the entire session and one you have to redo.
