Complete guide: Disposable bonnet - 10 pieces

The disposable bonnet is a personal protective equipment that covers the hair during work, used in tattoo studios as well as in medical, cosmetic, or beauty settings. Its role is simple and important: it prevents hair strands, dandruff, and cosmetic product residues (gel, lacquer, oil) from falling into the work area, onto the client, or into the ink cups. The set contains 10 pieces of universal size, and each bonnet is worn for a single session and then discarded. It is an inexpensive consumable with a real impact on hygiene and the impression of professionalism.

How to use

  1. Wash and disinfect your hands before touching the bonnet, then remove a single piece from the packaging.
  2. If you have long hair, tie it in a low ponytail or bun so it fits completely under the bonnet.
  3. Grasp the elastic edge with both hands and pull the bonnet over your head, from the forehead to the nape of the neck.
  4. Adjust the perimeter elastic so that it covers the entire hairline, including the nape and around the ears.
  5. Extend the pleats (accordion design) if you have voluminous hair, so that no strands escape under the edge.
  6. Put on the bonnet before gloves and mask, so you don't have to adjust it with already gloved and clean hands.
  7. At the end of the session, remove the bonnet and discard it; use a new one for the next session.

Tips from us

  • Put on the bonnet at the beginning of the preparation, before disinfecting your work area and putting on your gloves, so you don't touch your hair after you're clean.
  • If you have long hair, a low ponytail or bun stays more securely under the bonnet than loose hair, even though the pleats accommodate volume.
  • During a long session, change the bonnet if it becomes moist from sweat — otherwise both comfort and hygiene suffer.
  • Keep a few bonnets within reach, outside the sterile area, so you can quickly grab a new one between clients.
  • Use it as part of a complete operator protective barrier: bonnet + mask + gloves + apron.
Warning: The bonnets are single-use — do not wash or reuse them. Use a new bonnet for each session (or for each client if you work multiple clients in a day) and discard it immediately after use. A previously worn bonnet no longer offers the same guarantee of cleanliness. The material is latex-free, suitable for people with latex sensitivity. Store the set in a clean, dry place, protected from dust, until use.

Frequently asked questions

Why is a bonnet necessary when tattooing? Isn't it enough to tie my hair?

Even tied hair loses strands and naturally carries bacteria, dust, dead skin cells, and cosmetic product residues. Without a bonnet, a single strand can fall onto the work area, the client's exposed skin, or into the ink cups, compromising cleanliness. The bonnet is a simple barrier that completely eliminates this risk and is standard in medical and professional settings.

Does the bonnet fit any head size?

Yes. It is universal size, with a perimeter elastic that conforms to both small and large heads, and the pleated accordion design extends to accommodate long or voluminous hair. It stays fixed without slipping or compressing the forehead.

Is it breathable enough for long sessions?

The non-woven polypropylene material allows air circulation, so comfort remains acceptable even during sessions of several hours, especially in an air-conditioned studio. If you sweat a lot, the simplest solution is to replace the bonnet halfway through the session.

Can I wash the bonnet and reuse it?

No. It is a single-use product: used for one session and then discarded. It should not be washed or reused, as it would no longer offer the same guarantee of cleanliness. Since the bonnet covers the hair and does not come into direct contact with biological fluids, it can be disposed of with regular waste.

What color is it and what equipment does it match?

This set is white, which offers a clinical, clean, and professional look. It visually combines with the rest of the protective equipment (gloves, mask, apron), regardless of their color — the choice of color is purely aesthetic, the function is the same.

How long does a set of 10 pieces last?

It depends on how often you work. As a reference, one bonnet is used per workday (or one per client if you prefer maximum hygiene). For someone working a few days a week, a set of 10 roughly covers one to two weeks.

White color Packaging method: Set of 10 pieces The price is displayed for a set of 10 pieces Disposable bouffant caps, set of 10 pieces, personal protective equipment for covering hair during tattoo sessions. Bouffant caps prevent hair strands from falling onto the work area and the client in the tattooing position, eliminating contamination risk of the sterile zone with hair particles that may contain bacteria, dust, and cosmetic products. Manufactured from non-woven PP (polypropylene) material, lightweight, breathable, with perimeter elastic that securely and comfortably fixes the cap on the head without compressing or sliding. The pleated (accordion) design accommodates any hair volume — from short hair to long and voluminous hair. Standard white color provides a professional clinical appearance. Bouffant caps are an essential complement to the complete protective equipment: apron + gloves + sleeves + mask + cap = 360° protection. They are particularly important for artists with long hair who work leaning over the client — without a cap, hair can touch the work area or fall into ink cups. The set of 10 covers 1-2 weeks of activity. Hypoallergenic material, latex-free, comfortable for extended wear. Each cap is used for a single session and disposed of in regular waste (not biological — the cap does not directly contact biological fluids). Compliant with DSP regulations for professional environment hygiene. A basic consumable with significant impact on hygiene and professionalism perception. The non-woven PP material is treated to reduce static electricity, preventing hair from rising under the cap and escaping beneath the elastic. Ample pleats accommodate any hairstyle — from short hair to ponytails or buns. The cap is put on quickly (under 5 seconds) and requires no adjustment throughout the session.
