Guide & full description

Complete guide: Creion Biotek Chocolate Brown 115

The Biotek Chocolate Brown 115 pencil is a pre-drawing tool (preparatory sketch) for micropigmentation, designed specifically for microblading, nano brows, and occasionally lip contouring artists. It is part of the Biotek pencil range created in the same shades as their pigments, so that the drawing before the procedure accurately reflects the final color. The Chocolate Brown 115 shade is a deep chocolate brown with a warm-reddish undertone, especially suitable for clients with dark chestnut hair and warm-medium skin. It is a professional consumable used by artists during the procedure, not a household product.

How to use

Sanitize and disinfect the working area (eyebrows or lip contour) before starting any sketch.
Establish reference points and the desired shape using your preferred mapping technique (measurements, plumb line, stencil, etc.).
Trace the outline with the Chocolate Brown 115 pencil — the firm lead allows lines under 1 mm, especially useful for pre-drawing individual hair strokes in microblading and nano brows.
Compare the symmetry of the two eyebrows (or the lip contour) and correct the drawing before moving on to the procedure.
Show the client the result and obtain confirmation of the shape and shade before starting the actual needle work.
During the procedure, the lines remain visibly resistant to contact with anesthetic and disinfectant solutions, staying a clear reference for a complete procedure (2-3 hours).
Keep the pencil tip fine throughout the drawing to maintain the precision needed for accurate mapping.
At the end, remove any remaining pencil marks from the client's skin with a gentle makeup remover/disinfectant product, according to the clinic's protocol.

Tips from us

Choose 115 Chocolate Brown for clients with dark chestnut hair and warm-medium skin (olive, golden); for cool skin or black hair, the Biotek range offers more neutral/cool shades (e.g., 109 Extreme Brun).
For lip contouring on clients with naturally dark pigmentation (brown-pink), 115 can define the shape discreetly in a 'nude lip liner' style, without adding visible color.
Test the shade on a small area before finalizing the design, especially on clients with intermediate skin between warm and neutral.
Keep a fine tip on the lead throughout the drawing, essential for lines under 1 mm used for individual hair strokes.
Use the pencil only as a pre-drawing tool in a professional setting — it does not replace the pigment actually used in the procedure.

Warning: Although the formula is described as safe, non-toxic, hypoallergenic, nickel-free, and dermatologically tested, the pencil is applied to skin that will undergo an invasive needle procedure. Follow the clinic's hygiene protocol (disinfecting the area, hands, and instruments), avoid application on areas with lesions, irritations, or active infections, and check in advance for any known allergies of the client. It is a professional-use product intended for artists trained in micropigmentation/microblading, not for self-administration at home.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between Biotek 115 Chocolate Brown and the other brown shades in the range?▾

In the Biotek range, 115 Chocolate Brown is positioned as an intense brown but with visible warmth (reddish-chocolate undertone). Other shades in the range are more neutral or cooler — for example, a medium neutral brown or a very dark brown, almost black, with a cool undertone. The choice between them depends on the desired warmth tone on the skin, not just intensity.

What type of client is shade 115 best suited for?▾

According to the product description, 115 is recommended for clients with naturally dark chestnut hair and warm-medium skin (olive, golden), where the chocolate brown blends naturally with the eyebrows. It is considered especially suitable for warm Eastern European and Mediterranean skin tones.

Can this pencil also be used for lip contouring, not just for eyebrows?▾

Yes. On clients with naturally dark lip pigmentation (brown-pink tones), 115 can create a subtle, elegant outline in a 'nude lip liner' style, without adding a color visibly different from the natural lip tone.

How should a pre-drawing pencil be maintained and sanitized between uses?▾

As a general category rule: keep the tip fine and clean, avoid direct contact with open wounds, follow the clinic's disinfection protocol for instruments that touch the client's skin, and store the pencil in a clean case, protected from dust and moisture.

How long does the drawing made with this pencil last during a session?▾

According to the description, resistance to anesthetic and disinfectant solutions is good, and the lines remain visible throughout a complete procedure, estimated at 2-3 hours.

Is this pencil suitable for beginner artists as well?▾

We do not have specific information about the recommended experience level, but as a general principle valid for any pre-drawing tool: it requires some practice to master lines under 1 mm used for individual hair strokes, so practicing mapping on a training surface before working on real clients is recommended for any artist, regardless of experience.

Product description

They are the first cosmetic pencils specially designed for the preparatory drawing of permanent makeup. Compatible with permanent makeup, they are made with the same safe and non-toxic, hypoallergenic and nickel-free Biotek pigments. The 16 shades are exactly like the Biotek pigment range and can be used with maximum safety in the pre-procedure consultation phase. The Biotek Chocolate Brown 115 pencil is a pre-drawing instrument for micropigmentation in a warm chocolate brown shade — a deep, rich brown with a warm reddish undertone evoking quality dark chocolate. Code 115 positions itself between Extreme Brun 109 (very dark brown, nearly black) and Smoked Brown 108 (medium neutral brown), offering an intense brown option with visible warmth. Chocolate Brown is the preferred shade for clients with naturally dark brown hair, warm-medium skin (olive, golden), and dense eyebrows with warm tonality. Unlike 109 which pulls toward neutral-black, 115 maintains a distinct chocolatey warmth that matches more naturally on warm Eastern European and Mediterranean skin tones. The firm-hardness waxy formula allows tracing lines under 1mm, essential for individual stroke pre-drawing in microblading and nano brows techniques. Resistance to anesthetic solutions and disinfectants is excellent, allowing the pre-draw to remain visible throughout the complete procedure. Chocolate Brown 115 is also an excellent choice for lip procedures on clients with naturally dark lip pigmentation (brown-pink) where a natural chocolate brown lip liner shade can create an elegant subtle contour. Manufactured by Biotek Italy, CE 1223/2009 compliant, dermatologically tested, cruelty-free. Frequently Asked Questions
