Complete guide: Cremuta Tattoo Aftercare 25ml
Cremuta Tattoo Aftercare 25ml is a 100% natural and handmade aftercare butter for fresh tattoos, made from 13 natural ingredients. The 25ml format is the medium variant in the Cremuta range, designed for medium-sized tattoos (approximately 10–25cm) that require a complete healing period of 14–21 days — for example, pieces on the forearm, shoulder, or calf. It is suitable both for first-time tattoo clients and for artists who want to recommend a consistent aftercare product, regardless of the work's style (color, blackwork, black & grey, realism, dotwork).
How to use
- Wash your hands before each application — a fresh tattoo is essentially an open wound, and any contamination on your hands goes directly onto the skin.
- Clean the tattooed area according to the artist's instructions (water and neutral soap) and pat gently with a clean towel, without rubbing — the skin must be clean and dry before application, not wet.
- Take a small amount of Cremuta directly from the container with the tips of clean fingers; the consistency is designed to be easy to scoop and apply.
- Apply a thin, even layer over the entire tattooed surface, without pressing or rubbing the skin.
- Massage gently until absorbed — the texture is not greasy and penetrates in about 2-3 minutes, so you can dress immediately after without the risk of staining clothes.
- In the first 3-5 days (inflammatory phase), apply 3-4 times a day, as the skin needs constant hydration.
- From day 5 to day 14 (proliferation phase), reduce to 2-3 applications per day.
- After day 14, if the tattoo appears healed on the surface, 1-2 applications per day are sufficient until complete healing.
Tips from us
- Apply a thin layer, not a thick one — the goal is hydration, not 'soaking' the skin with product.
- Never apply to wet skin (for example, immediately after a shower without drying); the skin must be clean and patted dry.
- Keep in mind the general rule: apply when you feel the skin is dry or tight, not on a fixed and rigid schedule.
- A single 25ml tube can also cover two small tattoos (each under 10cm) for the entire healing period — use clean hands for each application and avoid going from one fresh tattoo to another without washing your hands between them.
- Choose the format based on the tattoo size: 10ml for small pieces (under 10cm, 5-7 days), 25ml for medium tattoos (10-25cm, 14-21 days), 50ml for large pieces or multiple close sessions — the formula is identical, only the quantity differs.
- Keep the container tightly closed between uses to avoid contaminating the remaining product.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between the 10ml, 25ml, and 50ml formats?▾
The only difference is the quantity, not the formula — all three variants contain the same composition of 13 natural ingredients. The 10ml format is suitable for small tattoos (under 10cm) and covers 5-7 days of healing. The 25ml format, the one in front, covers medium tattoos (10-25cm) for 14-21 days of complete healing. The 50ml format is recommended for large pieces (sleeves, back) or for clients with multiple sessions at short intervals. Choose based on the actual size of the tattoo — it's better to have a little extra than to run out.
How often should the cream be applied to a fresh tattoo?▾
In the first 3-5 days (inflammatory phase), apply 3-4 times a day, as the skin needs constant hydration. From day 5 to day 14 (proliferation phase), reduce to 2-3 applications per day. After day 14, if the tattoo appears healed on the surface, 1-2 applications per day are sufficient. The general rule: apply when you feel the skin is dry or tight, but never on wet skin — it must be clean and patted dry beforehand.
Can I use a single 25ml tube for two small tattoos?▾
Yes. A 25ml tube contains enough product to care for two small tattoos (each under 10cm) for the entire healing period, sometimes even three very small tattoos — making it more economical than buying two 10ml tubes. The only condition: use clean hands for each application and do not go from one fresh tattoo to another without washing your hands between applications.
Does the cream stain clothes or leave a greasy feeling on the skin?▾
No. Although it is a butter with an oily texture in the container, the formula does not stain clothes and absorbs in about 2-3 minutes after application, so you can dress shortly after without leaving marks on fabrics.
Is it also suitable for permanent micropigmentation, not just for classic tattoos?▾
Yes, according to the product description, it is recommended for both body tattoos and permanent micropigmentation procedures, and it works on all tattoo styles (color, blackwork, black & grey, realism, dotwork).
How do I use it correctly to avoid risking infection of the tattoo?▾
Apply it only with clean hands (washed with soap and water or disinfected) on clean, patted-dry skin, not wet. Avoid touching the container with dirty fingers or with the hand that has already touched another fresh tattoo, so as not to contaminate the remaining product. If you notice signs of infection — pronounced redness, pus, swelling, or local heat — do not continue application and seek advice from a doctor or your artist.
