Medium-level disinfectant, meaning the instrument needs to be thermally processed, i.e. placed in the Poupinel oven or autoclave, or subsequently in an FF solution. It is an intermediate disinfection stage. Not for use on surfaces, it contains substances that can be toxic if dispersed into the air. Disinfection of instruments must be carried out in covered basins.

Instructions for application: Do not combine with aldehyde-based thermochemical processing. The use of aldehyde-free products is preferred. Besides manual processing of endoscopes and instruments, Gigasept AF forte is also recommended for semi-automatic or fully automatic devices that operate through cyclical processing at room temperature. Application methods: Make sure the processed items are completely covered with the working solution, without air pockets. Once the contact time has expired, rinse abundantly with water of the quality required by the procedure to be subsequently performed with the respective device/instrument (e.g. sterile water). This way, among other things, unwanted interactions and effects can be avoided during manual or mechanical treatments. Interactions: If Gigasept AF forte solutions or concentrates come into contact with other products (especially those containing aldehydes), deposits/discoloration/loss of efficacy may occur, so mixing different products must be avoided. Before first use of Gigasept AF forte, careful rinsing with water of the instruments, application means and containers is recommended to avoid unwanted interactions. Gigasept AF forte complies with European standards and is bactericidal, yeasticidal (levurocidal), mycobactericidal.

Special recommendations:
UVV requires the use of gloves when using disinfectants not intended for skin.
When using the 5% active solution, accidental contact with the eyes can cause irritation of the mucous membrane. Appropriate protective measures must be taken.
