Guide & full description
Complete guide: Electrum Green Gold Premium Stencil Remover and Skin Prep 240ml
It is a professional 2-in-1 liquid solution from Electrum, in a 240 ml bottle, designed for the tattoo artist. It solves two moments in the workflow with a single solution: it removes a stencil (transfer template) applied incorrectly or left on the skin, and at the same time prepares the skin — cleans and degreases it — before a new transfer application. The formula contains Australian tea tree oil and is alcohol-free. It is particularly useful for repositioning stencils and during long sessions with multiple transfers on the same area.
How to use
- Pour a little product onto a cotton pad or a disposable gauze compress — never insert the used applicator back into the bottle.
- As a skin prep, wipe the area where you will apply the stencil, to remove sebum, surface oils, and impurities that could hinder the transfer's adhesion.
- Let the skin dry for a few seconds, then apply the stencil solution and place the transfer sheet in the desired position.
- If the transfer is not well aligned, apply the product to the area and let it sit for a few seconds to act.
- Wipe with a smooth motion: the transfer pigment (purple, green, or red) lifts without needing aggressive rubbing. Repeat on areas with more intense pigment.
- The skin remains clean and degreased, ready for a new application — you reapply the stencil solution and reposition the transfer sheet.
- Finally, use it also to clean any stencil residue left around the finished tattoo.
Tips from us
- Use it selectively, only when you really need to correct or remove a stencil — not every session — that way the 240 ml bottle lasts a long time.
- Let the skin dry completely after wiping before reapplying the stencil solution, so the new transfer adheres well.
- Keep the bottle handy in long projects that require successive application of multiple stencils on the same area.
- Pour the product onto a disposable consumable and change the pad for each client to avoid cross-contamination.
- You can also use it to wipe off skin marker (surgical marker) marks from the skin.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between 'stencil remover' and 'skin prep' and why is it useful that it does both?▾
Stencil remover means removing the transfer pigment from the skin (for example, when the stencil came out crooked or after finishing the tattoo), while skin prep means cleaning and degreasing the skin before applying a new transfer, so that it adheres well. Green Gold does both operations with the same solution: after you wipe off a stencil, the skin is already clean and ready for reapplication, so you don't need two separate products.
Do I have to rub hard to get the stencil off?▾
No. The formula dissolves the transfer pigment, so you can remove it with a smooth wiping motion, without aggressive rubbing that could redden or irritate the skin. If the area has very intense pigment, apply again and let it sit a few more seconds to act.
Does it work with any stencil solution and any type of transfer pigment?▾
As a skin prep, it prepares the skin for any stencil solution you apply afterwards. As a remover, it removes the transfer pigment commonly used in tattooing — purple, green, or red. After you wipe the area and the skin dries, you can reapply your usual stencil solution and reposition the transfer sheet.
How do I use it hygienically between clients?▾
Pour the product onto a cotton pad or disposable gauze and work with it; never put the used applicator back into the bottle and change the consumable for each client. That way the bottle opening and liquid remain uncontaminated, and you avoid transferring impurities from one client to another.
Can I use it if the client has sensitive skin?▾
The formula is alcohol-free, hypoallergenic, and dermatologically tested, designed not to dry the skin. However, for clients with reactive skin, a patch test on a small area is recommended beforehand, especially because the product contains tea tree oil — avoid it for people with a tea tree allergy.
How long does a 240 ml bottle last?▾
It depends on how often you use it, but because it is applied selectively — only when a stencil needs to be corrected or removed, not every session — a 240 ml bottle provides hundreds of uses and lasts much longer than the actual stencil solution.
