This is a carbon-based transfer sheet in A4 format, designed exclusively for freehand stencils. Unlike classic hectograph paper, the carbon layer leaves intense black-violet lines with high contrast on the skin - which is why it is preferred for bold outlines, traditional and neo-traditional styles, blackwork, or tribal, as well as for transfers on very dark skin where visibility matters. It is intended for tattoo artists who trace their design by hand and want a stencil that is as visible as possible. Important: it is not compatible with thermal printers.
How to use
- Prepare the skin area: shave, clean with isopropyl alcohol, and let it dry completely - a clean and dry surface helps the stencil adhere properly.
- Place the design on the semi-transparent top layer and trace the lines with a pen or stylus. Press firmly - carbon requires slightly more pressure than hectograph, and the active layer transfers the imprint onto the contact sheet.
- Apply a stencil solution to the skin (the product is compatible with professional solutions such as Spirit Stencil, Electrum, or Stencil Stuff) and spread it evenly over the entire area.
- Let the solution become tacky to the touch, according to the instructions on the bottle used.
- Position the sheet with the printed side directly on the skin, exactly where you want the tattoo, and avoid moving it after contact.
- Press evenly for a few seconds, applying pressure to the entire design surface without sliding.
- Lift the sheet in one firm motion and check the transfer.
- Let the stencil dry completely before starting to tattoo, so the lines do not smudge.
