The black stretch foil, 25 cm wide and 78 m long, is a basic consumable for hygienic protection of equipment in a tattoo or micropigmentation studio. Being self-adhesive, it wraps quickly around the grip, clip cord, cables, and other surfaces frequently touched during the session, creating a physical barrier against cross-contamination. The black color hides the inevitable ink and pigment stains during work, maintaining a clean and professional appearance of the workstation. It is useful for tattoo artists, PMU technicians, and cosmeticians.
How to use
- Prepare the workstation clean and disinfected before the client arrives, with the foil roll within reach.
- Tear or cut a piece of appropriate length, stretch it slightly, and wrap it tightly around the tattoo machine grip — the foil adheres to itself, without additional adhesive tape.
- Continue with the clip cord or RCA cable, wrapping in a spiral all the portion handled during work.
- Cover the other contact points as well: the power supply buttons, ink cups, spray bottles (distilled water, green soap), the lamp arm, and the edges of the work tray.
- Thanks to its flexibility, mold the foil onto irregular shapes (grips, lamp arms) by stretching it slightly during application, without tearing it.
- At the end of the session, completely remove all foil with gloves and dispose of it as contaminated waste.
- Clean and disinfect the equipment, then apply new foil for the next client.

Why choose black foil over transparent?▾
Functionally, both provide the same protective barrier. However, the black foil has two advantages: it hides the ink, plasma, and pigment stains that inevitably appear during the session (on transparent foil these remain visible and can disturb the client) and gives the workstation a uniform, clean, and professional look. The only advantage of transparent foil is that it leaves buttons and equipment indicators visible without unwrapping the foil.

Does the foil leave adhesive residue on equipment?▾

However, it is important to use professional studio stretch foil, not food wrap, which may leave slight marks.
Can I put the foil directly on a fresh tattoo, as a healing film?▾
It is not recommended: the product is non-sterile and intended for equipment protection, not direct contact with the wound. For covering and caring for freshly tattooed skin, use products dedicated to this purpose, according to your studio's practice.
Is the foil single-use?▾
Yes, strictly.
