Guide & full description

Complete guide: Dermalize pre-cut sheets 15 cm x 10 cm 5 pcs

The Dermalize Pro protective film in pack format is the aftercare solution for a fresh tattoo: a thin, water-resistant film that sticks over the tattoo immediately after the session, isolates it from dust, friction, and bacteria, while still allowing the skin to 'breathe'. The pack contains 5 pre-cut pieces at 15 × 10 cm, each individually sealed, suitable for small and medium tattoos — on the wrist, ankle, nape, or sternum area. It is useful both for the artist preparing an aftercare kit for the client and for the person who needs replacement films for home healing.

How to use

  1. Prepare the skin: clean the tattoo and the surrounding area and, preferably, shave the hair 2-3 cm beyond the edges so the film adheres well. Remove one piece from the pack only at the time of application to maintain sterility.
  2. Apply the film over the clean, dry tattoo, keeping the body in a neutral position — do not leave joints (elbow, knee) fully extended or fully bent while applying it.
  3. For larger surfaces, cut the film into smaller strips (they can overlap 1-2 cm) and round the corners — rounded cut edges adhere better and are harder to peel off.
  4. Smooth the film from the center toward the edges to avoid creases or air bubbles, and press firmly on the edges for a proper seal.
  5. Wear the first film for approximately 24 hours (according to your artist's recommendation), then replace it with a new film for the next few days of healing.
  6. To remove it, lift a corner and stretch it horizontally, parallel to the skin (do not pull upward), then continue from the edges toward the center; grab both sides and stretch them simultaneously until the entire film lifts off.
  7. If the adhesive is hard to remove, use a little warm water or ointment to loosen it from the skin more easily.

Tips from us

  • On mobile areas (hands, fingers, knees) leave a more generous film margin (over 3-5 cm beyond the tattoo) and check adhesion often — movement and water loosen the edges faster.
  • Shave the area before application: on hairless skin the film holds much better. If hair grows under the film and the edges lift, change the film sooner.
  • Open each piece only at the moment of application — the individual packaging keeps the film sterile until then; do not use pieces from opened, damaged, or expired packs.
  • You can shower normally with the film applied, as it is water-resistant, but avoid prolonged soaking (bathtub, pool, sauna) in the first days of healing.
  • Estimate your needs: one pack of 5 pieces generally covers 2-3 small tattoos for the entire healing period or one single tattoo with multiple film changes.
Warning: Hygiene is a priority: use only pieces from intact packages with a valid expiration date, and open them only at the time of application — a film once removed is not reusable. The adhesive is hypoallergenic, but if intense itching, worsening redness, swelling, or unusual secretions appear under the film, remove it and consult the artist or a doctor. The product is intended for adult aftercare in a tattoo context; do not use on small children (risk of swallowing small pieces and skin irritation). The film does not replace the care instructions of your artist or doctor.

Frequently asked questions

How many tattoos can I cover with one pack of 5 pieces?

With one pack you typically cover 2-3 small tattoos for the entire healing period, counting a film change at approximately 24 hours and then a second film for the next few days. Alternatively, the 5 pieces can go on a single tattoo if you change the film several times, as recommended by the artist.

Are the pieces sterile and how should I store them?

Yes, each piece is individually packaged and sealed, so it remains sterile until opened — do not use pieces from opened, damaged, or expired packages. Store unused packs in their original packaging at room temperature, away from direct sunlight, heat, and moisture. With intact packaging, the shelf life is approximately 3-5 years; use them in the order of purchase.

Can I shower with the film applied?

Yes. The film is water-resistant and allows for normal showering. It is exactly the same material as the roll version, with the same properties; only the format differs (pre-cut pieces, individually packaged), not the performance. However, avoid prolonged soaking in a bathtub, pool, or sauna during the healing period.

Which should I choose: the pack or the Dermalize Pro roll?

The pack contains 5 pre-cut pieces at 15 × 10 cm, individually sealed, compact and scissors-free — ideal for small to medium tattoos, for aftercare kits given to clients, and for mobile artists. The roll offers continuous film that you cut to any size, better suited for large surfaces. The material and quality are identical; you just choose the format that suits you.

Does it work on fingers or on hairy areas?

It works on fingers, even though this area is among the most difficult for any aftercare film due to constant movement and contact with water: cut the film to size, wrap it with smooth edges, no creases, and check adhesion often. On hairy areas, shave beforehand (2-3 cm beyond the edges); if hair grows under the film and the edges lift, change the film sooner.

Why Dermalize Pro and not another film?

Dermalize Pro is the original brand that introduced protective films for tattoos and is manufactured in Italy under medical device standards, complying with European regulations. The polyurethane film is breathable — it allows the skin to exchange oxygen and vapor, preventing maceration — and the hypoallergenic adhesive ensures comfort throughout the wearing period.

Product description

Dermalize pre-cut sheets 15 cm x 10 cm dressing for wrapping the tattoo Water resistant foil APPLICATION TIPS For large surfaces, it would be preferable to cut the strips into smaller pieces, which makes it easier to apply. These strips can be overlapped by 1-2 cm. Always apply Dermalize in a neutral position, joints, knees and elbows must never be completely straight or bent when applying Dermalize. Although the foil is elastic, more than 3-5 cm of foil may be needed on the edge of the tattoo in mobile areas such as the hands or knees to secure it. Cutting the rounded corners on the edges ensures a better adhesion of the foil. LEATHER ROLLING DEMONSTRATION Follow these steps to remove Dermalize Protective Tattoo Film: Lift one corner of the foil and stretch it horizontally along the surface of the skin to avoid breaking the adhesive bond. Continue to stretch the edge of the foil towards the center. When both sides of the foil are partially removed, grab both sides at the same time and stretch them horizontally and parallel to the skin, until the entire foil is lifted. If the film is particularly resistant, you can use a little warm water or ointment to help remove the adhesive from the skin. The Dermalize Pro sachet contains 5 pieces of pre-cut protective film measuring 15 cm x 10 cm, providing the complete aftercare solution for small and medium tattoos. Dermalize Pro is the world standard in tattoo wrapping bandages, and the sachet format brings this quality in a convenient and hygienic package. Each piece is individually sealed to guarantee sterility until the moment of use, an essential aspect in the tattoo industry where hygiene is the number one priority. The medical polyurethane film creates a permeable protective barrier that isolates the fresh tattoo from external contaminants while maintaining a controlled moist environment that promotes natural healing. Unlike cling film, Dermalize Pro allows skin breathing through oxygen and vapor exchange, preventing tissue maceration and secondary infection. The medical-grade hypoallergenic adhesive ensures comfort throughout wearing without causing allergic reactions. The 15x10 cm size is optimal for tattoos on areas such as the wrist, ankle, back of the neck, sternal area, or any small to medium-sized tattoos. The 5-piece format is designed both for artists offering aftercare kits to clients and for individual clients who need replacement films for the home healing process. The product is manufactured in Italy and meets European medical device standards. Frequently Asked Questions How many tattoos can I cover with a 5-piece sachet? With a 5-piece sachet, you can cover 2-3 small tattoos throughout the entire healing duration, accounting for film change at 24 hours and then a second film for the next 3-5 days. Alternatively, all 5 pieces can be used for a single tattoo if the film is changed multiple times according to the artist's recommendations. Are Dermalize Pro sachets sterile? Yes, each film piece is individually packaged and sealed to maintain sterility until opening. This individual packaging is essential in the tattoo context, where the film comes in direct contact with freshly tattooed skin. Do not use films from opened, damaged, or expired packaging. Can I order Dermalize Pro sachets for my clients in bulk? Yes, Dermalize Pro sachets can be ordered in large quantities from tatuat.ro. Many studios order sachet stocks to include in the tattoo session price or to sell separately as aftercare kits. Contact tatuat.ro for information on volume pricing and stock availability for large orders. What is the advantage of sachets over rolls for a mobile artist? Sachets are more compact, easier to transport, and do not require scissors for cutting. A mobile artist can carry multiple sachets in a compact kit without taking up extra space. Additionally, individual packaging is more hygienic in mobile working conditions, where maintaining the sterility of an opened roll can be more challenging. Is the Dermalize Pro from sachets as waterproof as the roll? Yes, the Dermalize Pro film from sachets is exactly the same material as from the roll, with identical waterproof properties. Clients can shower normally with the film applied. The difference lies exclusively in the packaging format and predefined size, not in material quality or performance. Can I use Dermalize Pro sachets on children? Dermalize Pro is designed for use on adults in the professional tattoo context. For children with medical needs for transparent bandages, consult a doctor. The film should not be used on small children due to the risk of small piece ingestion or irritation of children's sensitive untattoed skin. How do I store unused sachets? Store unused sachets in the original packaging at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Avoid storage in humid environments. Periodically check expiration dates and use in order of purchase. Sachets with intact packaging have a shelf life of approximately 3-5 years. What do I do if the film doesn't adhere well on hairy areas? Dermalize Pro adheres best on clean, hair-free skin. The artist should shave the area around the tattoo before film application, extending the shaved area 2-3 cm beyond the tattoo margins. If hair grows during film wearing, it may reduce edge adherence. In this case, change the film earlier. Can the Dermalize Pro sachet be used for finger tattoos? Yes, the 15x10 cm size allows coverage of finger tattoos, although the finger area is one of the most challenging for any aftercare film type due to constant movement and frequent contact with water and objects. Cut the film to the needed size and wrap it around the finger, ensuring smooth edges without creases. Check adherence frequently. Why choose Dermalize Pro over other film brands? Dermalize Pro is the original brand that pioneered the use of protective films in tattooing, with over a decade of experience and formula perfection. It is manufactured in Italy under strict medical standards, used and recommended by the world's most renowned artists. Adhesive quality, calibrated permeability, and production lot consistency make it the trusted choice for professionals.
