Guide & full description
Complete guide: HORNET SPRAY AFTER TATTOO 30ML
A spray for post-tattoo care in a compact 30 ml format, with SPF 50 sun protection, designed to make the healing period more comfortable and cleaner. The formula combines shea butter, olive oil, vitamin E, panthenol (vitamin B5) and honey extract, which also gives it its characteristic scent. It is useful both for clients caring for their fresh tattoo at home and for artists who want to offer an aftercare product at the end of the session. The product is made in Spain, vegan and cruelty-free.
How to use
- Wash your hands thoroughly before any contact with the tattooed area — the basic rule of any aftercare routine.
- Gently clean the tattoo and pat it dry with a clean towel or disposable tissue, without rubbing.
- Shake the bottle before each use.
- Spray from about 20 cm away, so that a thin, even layer forms over the tattooed area.
- Let the spray absorb completely — do not rub or massage the area after application.
- Repeat application 3-5 times a day throughout the healing process, as recommended by the manufacturer.
- After healing, you can continue to use it on the tattoo as SPF 50 sun protection, especially when exposed to the sun.
Tips from us
- The 30 ml format fits easily in a bag or pocket — keep it on hand so you can keep up with the application frequency even when you're away from home.
- If you're an artist, the compact bottle is suitable as an aftercare product to give to the client at the end of the session, with clear usage instructions.
- More frequent application than with creams (3-5 times a day) is normal for this type of product: the thin protective film is absorbed and needs to be renewed regularly.
- It can be combined with the other products in the Hornet range: wash with Hornet Honey Soap, moisturize with Hornet Butter, then the spray for the protective SPF layer.
- Even with SPF 50, avoid direct sun exposure of a fresh tattoo as much as possible — UV rays can degrade colors and affect skin that is still healing.
- A thin layer is enough — there's no point in saturating the area; excess won't be absorbed and will only attract impurities.
Frequently asked questions
Why does this spray have SPF 50 sun protection?▾
UV rays are among the biggest enemies of a fresh tattoo: sun exposure can degrade colors and affect skin that is in the process of regenerating. The SPF 50 filter in the formula provides high sun protection from the very first days, and after healing it helps maintain vibrant colors in the long term.
How often and how should it be applied?▾
The manufacturer recommends applying it 3-5 times a day during healing. Shake the bottle, spray a thin layer from about 20 cm onto the tattooed area, and let the product absorb completely without rubbing. The higher frequency compared to creams is normal because the thin protective film needs to be renewed regularly.
What does the formula contain and is it vegan?▾
The formula combines shea butter and olive oil for hydration, vitamin E with antioxidant role, panthenol (vitamin B5) to support the skin barrier, honey extract with a soothing effect and a pleasant scent, plus ingredients with antibacterial properties and UV filters for SPF 50. The product is vegan, cruelty-free and made in Spain — the honey extract used does not affect its vegan status as declared by the manufacturer.
Can I use it on already healed tattoos?▾
Yes. After healing, the spray remains useful mainly as sun protection: UV rays degrade tattoo colors even after complete healing, so applying it before sun exposure helps preserve the tattoo's appearance over time.
How do I keep it hygienic when using it on a fresh tattoo?▾
The advantage of the spray format is that the product doesn't come into contact with your fingers, unlike a cream in a jar. Spray from the recommended distance without touching your skin with the nozzle, wash your hands before application, and keep the bottle closed, away from dirt. Do not share the same bottle among several people with fresh tattoos.
How do I choose between the spray and an aftercare cream — or can I combine them?▾
The spray is the practical all-in-one solution: hydration, protective layer and SPF 50 in a single easy-to-apply product, ideal for daytime and on the go. If you prefer a complete routine, you can combine it with the rest of the Hornet range: wash the tattoo with Hornet Honey Soap, moisturize with Hornet Butter, and finish with the spray for sun protection and an extra protective layer.
