Guide & full description

Complete guide: InkTrox Coconut & Mango Tattoo Process Butter 200ml

InkTrox Coconut & Mango Tattoo Process Butter 200ml by Kwadron is a natural work butter, used before, during, and after the tattoo session, for needle glide and skin care. The formula contains shea butter, mango butter, beeswax, coconut oil, sweet almond oil, avocado oil, and vitamin E, without petrolatum and lanolin. It is compatible with all tattoo styles and all types of ink. The 200ml format is the studio version — four times larger than the 50ml — designed for artists who use the product consistently, session after session.

How to use

  1. If you want to prepare the skin, apply a thin layer of butter in the evening, about a week before the appointment, on the area to be tattooed.
  2. Before the tattoo, clean and disinfect the skin according to the usual studio protocol.
  3. Take the necessary amount with a clean spatula and apply a thin layer to the work area — the texture melts upon contact with the skin.
  4. During the session, reapply as the butter is used up to maintain needle glide without excess product on the skin.
  5. For precision styles (fine line, dot work), use a minimal amount so that fine lines remain visible throughout the work.
  6. After completing the tattoo, you can apply a layer of butter to protect the freshly worked skin until the final bandaging.
  7. Close the lid tightly after each use to keep the product clean between sessions.
  8. Store the container at room temperature (15-25°C), away from direct light and excessive heat.

Tips from us

  • Apply in a thin layer — the butter melts quickly, so a small amount is usually enough for good glide.
  • For precision work (fine line, dot work), reduce the amount applied for maximum line visibility.
  • It is normal for the butter to become softer in warmth and firmer in cold — it does not affect product quality.
  • Take the product with a clean spatula or applicator each time, instead of putting your finger directly into the jar, to maintain hygiene throughout the use period.
  • The 200ml format covers around 20-30 full sessions (compared to 5-8 sessions for the 50ml format), being more advantageous for constant studio use; if you only want to test the product, consider the smaller format first.
  • Note the opening date on the jar — the recommended usage period after opening is 12-18 months.
Warning: The natural coconut and mango fragrance in the composition contains, among others, Limonene, Citral, Linalool, Geraniol, and Citronellol — potential allergens that must be listed separately according to EU regulations, present in small amounts. If you or your client have known allergies to fragrances, perform a test on a small area of skin before use on the tattooed area. To avoid cross-contamination between clients, take the product from the jar with a clean spatula or a disposable applicator, not directly with the finger used on the skin.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between the 50ml and 200ml format?

The formula is identical — only the quantity and price per ml differ. The 200ml format covers approximately 20-30 full sessions, compared to 5-8 sessions for the 50ml format, making it more advantageous for artists who use the product consistently in the studio. For a first trial, you can initially choose the smaller format.

Can it be used on all tattoo styles?

Yes, it is compatible with all tattoo styles and all types of ink, including fine line and dot work. For precision styles, apply an extremely thin layer so that fine lines remain clearly visible.

How do I keep the product clean and how long does it last after opening?

Store the jar at room temperature (15-25°C), with the lid tightly closed, protected from direct light and excessive heat. It is normal for the butter to become softer in warmth and firmer in cold. The recommended usage period after opening is 12-18 months. For hygiene, take the necessary amount with a clean spatula instead of inserting your finger directly into the jar.

Does it contain petroleum jelly or lanolin?

No. The formula does not contain petrolatum or lanolin — it is based on natural butters and oils (shea, mango, coconut, sweet almond, avocado), beeswax, and vitamin E.

Why do ingredients like Limonene, Citral, or Linalool appear on the list?

They are natural components of the coconut and mango fragrance in the product, not synthetic additives. EU regulations require their separate listing because they are potential allergens, although present in very small amounts. If you have known allergies to fragrances, test the product on a small area of skin before using it on the tattooed area.

Can it also be used before tattooing, for skin preparation?

Yes, it is recommended to apply the butter about a week before the session, in the evening, on the area to be tattooed.
