Guide & full description

Complete guide: Klintensiv - Ready-to-Use Surface Disinfectant 500ml - BOX 12 PCS

In a tattoo studio, a surface that looks clean is not necessarily one that is disinfected. Here we are talking about a liquid solution for surfaces and floors, delivered ready to use: it is applied directly, without dilution and without rinsing, and the manufacturer declares a broad spectrum of action — bactericidal, fungicidal, sporicidal, mycobactericidal, and sporicidal. The fact that it can be applied even on dirty surfaces or with organic residues makes it practical exactly in the moments you need it: between clients and at the end of the day. The case packaging of 12 bottles of 500 ml each is designed for practices and studios with constant consumption, not for occasional use.

How to use

  1. First, gather the waste from the work area: needles and cartridges in the sharps container, the rest of the single-use consumables in the waste bag. You disinfect a cleared area, not one full of debris.
  2. Do not dilute the product or top it off with water — it is formulated ready to use (RTU) and is applied as is from the bottle.
  3. Apply it evenly to the surface, directly from the bottle or onto a clean, lint-free cloth, so the area remains visibly wet. According to the manufacturer's description, it works even in the presence of dirt or organic residues, so no separate pre-wash is needed.
  4. Allow it to sit for the contact time indicated on the bottle label — this differs depending on the target microorganism. Do not wipe immediately: disinfection occurs while the surface stays wet.
  5. Wipe at the end with a clean cloth if needed. Rinsing is not necessary, and the product contains no dyes, so it does not stain or discolor.
  6. Cover all contact points, not just the countertop: the headrest and armrests of the bed, chair armrests, work table, lamp handle, drawers, handles, and the reception surface.
  7. Finish with the floor. The manufacturer's compatibility list includes tiles, marble, concrete, linoleum, carpets, and rugs, along with plastic, stainless steel, aluminum, ceramic, glass, Teflon, rubber, and wood.
  8. Change the cloth between areas — especially between the work area and the bathroom — so you don't transfer contamination from one place to another.

Tips from us

  • The surface disinfectant works together with protective barriers, not instead of them: foil on the machine, a cover on the clip cord or cable, foil on the ink bottles, lamp, and water bottle. The barrier prevents contamination, the disinfectant takes care of what remains.
  • Divide the routine into two: a quick pass between clients, only on contact points, and a full one at the end of the day, including the floor.
  • Keep one bottle at each work station and one at the reception — this is exactly where a case of 12 shows its usefulness, so you don't have to carry a single bottle around the studio in the middle of a session.
  • The declared pH is alkaline (10.8 ± 0.5), so work with gloves and avoid prolonged contact with skin, even though the product is intended for hard surfaces.
  • Note in a simple register the time and area disinfected. It organizes your routine and is useful when you need to show someone how you work.
  • For finishes not on the compatibility list — special upholstery, delicate lacquers — test first on a small, inconspicuous area.
Warning: The product is intended for surfaces and floors, not skin: for preparing the tattoo area and cleaning during work, use dedicated skin antisepsis products. Do not dilute or combine it with other cleaning substances, especially those based on chlorine or acids. The declared pH is 10.8 ± 0.5, so wear gloves, protect your eyes, and ventilate the room when disinfecting large surfaces. Surface disinfection does not replace the sterilization of reusable instruments or the studio's basic rule: needles, cartridges, grips, and other single-use consumables are disposed of after each client, sharps in the dedicated container. Always read the label and product sheet for contact times, precautions, and first aid measures.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use it to disinfect the client's skin before tattooing?

No. It is a solution for surfaces and floors, formulated for hard materials and furniture, not for contact with skin — much less with an area that is about to be tattooed or one that has already been worked on. For skin preparation and cleaning during the session, use specially formulated products. Keep the two categories separate and, ideally, in different places so you don't grab the wrong bottle in a hurry.

Does it need to be diluted with water before use?

No. It is delivered ready to use — that means RTU, ready to use — and is applied directly to the surface without any preparation. Diluting it doesn't make it go further, it just changes the formula from what it was tested for. For the same reason, do not top off a half-empty bottle with water.

Which surfaces in the studio can I safely use it on?

The manufacturer indicates a wide list of compatible materials: plastic, stainless steel, aluminum, ceramic, glass, Teflon, rubber, and wood, plus flooring — tiles, marble, concrete, linoleum, carpets, and rugs. This practically covers almost everything you have in a studio: the bed, chair, countertops, work table, shelves, handles, and the floor. It contains no dyes, so it does not stain, discolor, or whiten treated surfaces. For finishes not on the list, test first on a small, hidden area.

How often should I disinfect surfaces in a tattoo studio?

At three times, as a minimum: between clients, on all contact points in the work area; immediately after any splash of blood, serum, or ink; and at the end of the day, fully, including the floor. The manufacturer's claimed spectrum covers bacteria, fungi, yeasts, mycobacteria, spores, and viruses, including bloodborne viruses (HBV, HCV, HIV). However, this does not replace the basic protocol: protective barriers on equipment, gloves changed for each client, and single-use consumables disposed of after each session.

Do I need to rinse or wipe after application, especially on the counter where the inks sit?

Rinsing is not necessary — the product leaves no residue, has low foaming, and does not form residual deposits. What matters is respecting the contact time indicated on the label before wiping; if you wipe immediately, you interrupt the very process for which you applied the solution. After the contact time has passed, you can go over the surfaces where you place materials with a clean cloth, so the countertop is dry when you put the foil or bottles.

What does "CASE OF 12" mean, and does it make sense for me to get that much?

It means you receive a case of 12 bottles of 500 ml, not a single bottle. It makes sense if you work daily: surface disinfection is a routine repeated several times a day, and having one bottle at each work station plus reserves in storage means you won't be left uncovered in the middle of a session. If you are a beginner and work occasionally, a smaller stock is more suitable — either way, check the expiration date on the packaging and use the bottles in the order you opened them.
