Complete guide: Disposable blue sleeves 10 pieces
Disposable polyethylene protective sleeves, pack of 10, covering the arm from wrist to above the elbow. They form an impermeable barrier against ink splashes and biological fluids that inevitably land on the forearms during work. They are useful for any tattoo artist who wants complete protection — they cover exactly the exposed area between the glove and the rest of the protective equipment.
How to use
- Wash and disinfect your hands before starting to prepare the work station.
- Pull the sleeve onto your arm with the lower elastic band positioned at the wrist and the upper one above the elbow, over your t-shirt sleeve if necessary.
- Smooth the material on the arm so that no folds or gaps remain through which liquids could enter.
- Put your examination gloves over the lower edge of the sleeve to create a continuous glove-sleeve seal, with no exposed skin.
- Work normally during the session — if an ink splash gets on the sleeve, you can wipe it with a towel without compromising the barrier.
- At the end of the session, remove the sleeves together with the gloves, turning them inside out without touching the contaminated outer surface.
- Dispose of used sleeves in contaminated waste, according to studio procedure — they are never reused.
Tips from us
- Replace sleeves between clients, just like gloves — they are single-use equipment, do not clean or reuse.
- If a sleeve tears or becomes visibly contaminated with blood during the session, replace it immediately, together with the gloves.
- Wear the sleeves together with gloves, apron, mask and cap — the blue color matches the rest of the blue equipment and gives the studio a uniform clinical look.

Frequently asked questions
Why would I need protective sleeves if I already wear gloves and an apron?▾
Because the forearms remain an exposed area: the glove ends at the wrist, the apron protects the torso, and the artist's arms are essentially above the work area throughout the session. Ink splashes and micro-particles of fluids inevitably reach there. The sleeves exactly close this gap — from wrist to above the elbow — and complete the protective barrier together with gloves, apron, mask and cap.
How should they be worn correctly with gloves to avoid exposed skin?▾
First, pull the sleeve onto your arm, with the lower elastic at the wrist, then put the examination glove over the lower edge of the sleeve. This way you get a continuous glove-sleeve seal, with no strip of uncovered skin between them. They can also be worn easily over a t-shirt sleeve — the upper elastic secures the sleeve above the elbow, over the fabric.

How long will the pack of 10 last me?▾
10 pieces means 5 pairs. At one client per day, it covers about one working week; at 2-3 clients per day, you use 2-3 pairs daily, so the pack runs out in a few days. It is an inexpensive and lightweight consumable (the pack weighs ~30 g), so it's worth keeping in stock alongside gloves and other disposable barriers.
Does the material contain latex? Does it restrict my movement?▾
The sleeves are made of polyethylene, a latex-free material — suitable for artists or clients with latex allergy, fastened with synthetic elastic bands at both ends. The material is lightweight and elastic, molds to the arm without compressing, and does not restrict movement at the elbow or wrist, so it does not affect work precision.
Does it resist ink splashes or does ink go through the material?▾
The polyethylene material is impermeable, so ink splashes and liquids stay on the surface and do not reach the skin or clothes. You can wipe splashes with a towel during the session without affecting the barrier. Ink stains remain permanent on the material — which doesn't matter, since the sleeve is disposed of at the end of the session anyway.
