Guide & full description

Complete guide: Disposable blue sleeves 100 pieces

These are disposable polyethylene protective sleeves that cover the arm from the wrist to above the elbow, complementing the barrier created by gloves and aprons against ink splashes and biological fluids. The pack of 100 pieces (50 pairs) is the economical format, designed for artists who work constantly and for studios with multiple artists, where the consumption of protective barriers is daily. The material is waterproof, elastic, and latex-free, and the blue color fits standard studio equipment.

How to use

  1. Wash and disinfect your hands before putting them on, as with any protective barrier in the studio.
  2. Take two sleeves out of the pack — they are identical, there is no left or right model, so any two form a pair.
  3. Slide each sleeve onto your arm so that the lower elastic sits on your wrist and the upper one sits above your elbow, with the forearm completely covered.
  4. Check the fit: the elastics must hold the sleeve steady on your arm without compressing or leaving skin exposed.
  5. Put on your examination gloves over the lower edge of the sleeve, so no skin is left uncovered at the wrist.
  6. If a sleeve tears or gets punctured during the session, replace it with a new one after sanitizing your hands.
  7. At the end of the session, remove the sleeves by rolling them from the elbow toward the wrist, with the outer (contaminated) side inward, and discard them along with the rest of the disposable barriers.
  8. Do not reuse the sleeves: one pair means one session, one client.

Tips from us

  • Calculate your consumption simply: at one pair per session, the pack of 100 covers 50 sessions — for a single artist that means a few months of activity, and for a studio with multiple artists a few weeks.
  • Keep the pack in the consumables cabinet, close to your workstation but outside the contaminated area — take out a pair with clean hands before starting work.
  • Sleeves show their greatest usefulness in sessions with heavy splattering, such as color packing and dense shading, where the forearms are most exposed.
  • If the studio already uses blue barriers (drapes, films, aprons), the blue color of the sleeves maintains a uniform look and makes disposable equipment easy to recognize.
  • The large format saves you from frequent reordering: the pack is compact to store (under 300 g), so you can easily keep a backup pack to avoid running out of protection during a busy week.
Warning: Sleeves are strictly single-use: they are discarded after each client and should not be disinfected for reuse, even if they appear intact. They do not replace gloves, hand washing, or the rest of the protective barriers — they are a complementary layer. Sleeves contaminated with blood or biological fluids must be disposed of according to studio waste procedures, not in regular household trash.

Frequently asked questions

How many pairs do I actually get in the 100-piece pack?

The pack contains 100 individual sleeves, that is 50 complete pairs. The sleeves are identical to each other — there is no left/right distinction — so you simply take two pieces from the pack per session. At one pair per session, the pack covers 50 working sessions.

Why would I wear sleeves if I’m already using gloves?

Gloves only protect your hands, but during work, ink and fluid splashes can reach your forearms — especially during shading and color packing. Sleeves cover exactly that exposed area, from the wrist to above the elbow, protecting both your skin and work clothes from staining and contamination. Worn with gloves pulled over the lower edge, they form a continuous barrier along the entire arm.

Can I disinfect the sleeves to reuse them on the next client?

No. The sleeves are single-use and must be completely thrown away after every session, like any protective barrier in the studio. The polyethylene material resists common disinfectants if they come into contact during work — the solution does not penetrate to the skin — but that does not make them reusable: reuse would mean a risk of cross-contamination between clients.

How do I choose between the 10-piece set and the 100-piece pack?

The material is the same; only the format and the price per piece differ, which in the 100-pack is significantly lower. The 10-piece set makes sense if you want to test the product or work occasionally. If you tattoo constantly or have a studio with multiple artists, the 100-format is the logical choice: lower cost per session, less frequent ordering, and enough stock so you don’t run out of protection mid-week.

Do they contain latex? I have clients and colleagues with allergies.

No, the sleeves are made of polyethylene and contain no latex; the material is hypoallergenic. They are a safe option in studios where latex is avoided, just as with nitrile gloves. If a wearer still notices irritation at the elastic band, it is most likely due to mechanical friction, not a reaction to the material — check if the sleeve is too tight on the arm.

Do they fit any arm or are there sizes?

The pack comes in one size only, and the fit is secured by the elastic bands on both ends, which adapt to most arms without compression. A slight, temporary mark left by the elastic on the skin is normal and disappears in a few minutes. However, if the elastic leaves deep marks or persistent redness, the sleeve is too tight for your arm circumference and you should look for a wider option.
