Guide & full description

Complete guide: Nitrile gloves Black L

The black nitrile gloves, size L, are the basic protective barrier between your hands and the client's skin, ink, and fluids in any tattoo or piercing session. Being made of 100% synthetic nitrile, latex-free and powder-free, they reduce the risk of allergic reactions for both the artist and the client. They come in a box of 100 pieces (50 pairs), are ambidextrous, and fit larger hands with a palm circumference of 210–230 mm. They are equally useful in cosmetics, micropigmentation, clinics, laboratories, or even at home.

How to use

  1. Wash your hands with soap and water (or use hand sanitizer) and dry them completely before putting on the gloves — gloves do not replace hand hygiene.
  2. Check the fit: size L corresponds to a palm circumference of 210–230 mm; if M is too tight on your palm or compresses your fingers, L is the right choice.
  3. Remove the glove from the box by grasping the cuff and put it on without touching the exterior with your bare hand; the rolled cuff at the wrist ensures a secure fit and prevents fluid ingress.
  4. Quickly inspect each glove before starting work — no tears, punctures, or thinned areas.
  5. Work normally: the micro-rough texture on the fingers provides grip on the machine grip and tube even in humid conditions (petroleum jelly, green soap, exudate).
  6. Change gloves immediately if they get punctured, if you touch surfaces outside the work area (phone, furniture, drawers), and mandatory for each client; in long sessions, change them periodically even without incident.
  7. At the end, remove them by turning them inside out, using the 'glove in glove' technique, without touching the contaminated exterior with your skin.
  8. Dispose of used gloves in the contaminated waste container, according to salon procedures, and wash your hands again.

Tips from us

  • Keep multiple sizes in stock if the salon has multiple artists — a properly fitting glove reduces hand fatigue during long sessions.
  • The black color masks ink stains and provides a professional and neat appearance in front of the client.
  • Store the box in a dry and cool place, away from sunlight and heat sources — nitrile degrades over time with direct exposure.
  • Calculate your monthly consumption and keep a buffer stock: gloves are the consumable you don't want to run out of in the middle of an appointment.
  • Being powder-free, they leave no particles on the work area — a real advantage when working on freshly tattooed skin.
  • If you feel the material is bunching up in the palm or fingers, the glove is too large — go down one size to maintain tactile sensitivity.
Warning: Gloves are single-use: do not wash, disinfect, or reuse them under any circumstances. Change them immediately if they tear or get punctured during work: stop, remove the damaged glove without touching the exterior, wash and disinfect the hand, then put on a new pair. Being delivered in a box, they are not a sterile individually packaged product — they are examination protection gloves to be worn together with the rest of the salon's hygiene barriers (protective film, disposable drapes, surface disinfection). Dispose of used gloves as contaminated waste, not in the regular trash of the work area.

Frequently asked questions

How do I know if size L is the right one for me?

Size L corresponds to a palm circumference of 210–230 mm. Measure the palm circumference at the widest point, excluding the thumb. If size M is too tight on your palm or compresses your fingers, go up to L; if L has excess material folds, go down to M. A properly fitted glove sits snugly on the hand without squeezing — this way you maintain both tactile sensitivity and comfort during long sessions.

Are they suitable for people with latex allergy?

Yes. They are made of 100% synthetic nitrile, so they contain no natural latex, and the powder-free, hypoallergenic formula further reduces the risk of irritation. This protects both the artist who wears them for hours and the client with sensitive skin or known latex allergy.

How often should I change gloves during a tattoo session?

Mandatory for each new client, immediately upon any puncture or tear, and whenever you touch something outside the clean work area (phone, drawer handle, furniture). In long sessions, it is good practice to change them periodically even without incident — the glove is a single-use barrier, not 'all-day' equipment. At each change, sanitize your hands before putting on the new pair.

How many gloves are in the box and how do I store them correctly?

The box contains 100 pieces, i.e., 50 pairs, and the gloves are ambidextrous — either can be worn on either hand. Store the box closed, in a dry place away from sun and heat, and at the work station, remove gloves only with clean hands so as not to contaminate the rest of the box.

What standards and certifications do these gloves comply with?

According to the manufacturer's description, the gloves comply with EN 455 and EN 374 standards, are CE certified, classified as Class I medical devices, and have an AQL quality level of 1.5. The thickness at the fingers is 4–5 mil (0.10–0.12 mm), a balance between mechanical strength and tactile sensitivity, and the material also offers chemical protection.

Can I use them outside the tattoo studio?

Yes. Besides tattoo, piercing, and micropigmentation, they are suitable for cosmetics, medical offices, laboratories, and even household use — anywhere you need a disposable glove that is elastic, durable, and with chemical protection. However, they remain a single-use consumable regardless of context: one pair, one use.
