Guide & full description

Complete guide: Leather marker 14cm with ruler included

This is a surgical skin marker with an integrated ruler, 14 cm long, designed for pre-drawing and measuring directly on the client's skin. It works like a felt-tip pen with ink flowing from an internal reservoir, and on the body of the tool you'll find the ruler graduations, so you measure and mark with a single object. It is useful for both tattoo artists, for tracing guides and correcting stencils, and for micropigmentation and microblading specialists, for face mapping and symmetry checking. According to product information, it is CE marked and delivered in sterile packaging.

How to use

Prepare the area: clean and degrease the skin (usually with isopropyl alcohol) and let it dry completely so the ink adheres and does not spread.
Open the sterile packaging immediately before use to maintain the hygienic condition of the product.
Hold the marker like a pen and let the felt tip only lightly touch the skin — the ink flows on its own from the reservoir, no need to press hard.
Trace the contours and pre-drawing guide lines, or, in micropigmentation, mark the reference points for face mapping (eyebrows, lips, eyeliner).
Use the ruler engraved or printed on the marker body to measure distances directly on the skin and check symmetry and proportions before permanent work.
Execute the final design over the guides; the marking resists accidental wiping during work.
At the end, remove any remaining marks with isopropyl alcohol or soap and water — the ink stays on the skin surface and wipes off easily.
Dispose of or disinfect the marker according to your salon's hygiene protocol.

Tips from us

Degrease the skin well before marking: on a greasy or wet surface the line spreads and loses precision.
Do not press the felt tip — with a light touch you get a finer, cleaner line.
Check symmetry with the ruler from multiple angles and, in PMU, from the client's front, before proceeding with the dermograph.
Touch the client's skin only with the tip, never with the marker body, to reduce the risk of cross-contamination.
For the safest protocol, treat it as a single-use instrument per client — the affordable price makes replacement reasonable.
Keep the cap on when not in use and store it horizontally or tip-down to prevent the felt tip from drying out.

Warning: Hygiene first: the product comes in sterile packaging, and for maximum safety the best practice is single-use per client. If you do reuse it, disinfect the body with 70% alcohol and never touch the client's skin with the marker body, only with the tip, to avoid cross-contamination. Follow your salon's DSP protocol. Use only markers intended for skin — do not replace the product with an office marker, which may contain solvents unsuitable for skin contact.

Frequently asked questions

Is the marker ink safe for skin?▾

Yes, according to product information, the ink is specially formulated for skin contact, is non-toxic, and stays on the surface of the epidermis without penetrating deep layers — so it does not become permanent. It is easily removed with isopropyl alcohol or soap and water. Very important: do not confuse a skin marker with an office marker, which may contain solvents unsuitable for skin.

How do I remove the marking at the end of the procedure?▾

The marking is easily removed with isopropyl alcohol or soap and water, and any remaining traces fade on their own within a few hours through natural skin exfoliation. The ink is designed to resist accidental wiping during work (e.g., with Vaseline), but to come off cleanly at the end.

Can I use it on multiple clients?▾

The safest practice is to treat it as a single-use instrument, one per client. If you reuse it, thoroughly disinfect the marker body with 70% alcohol and ensure you only touch the client's skin with the tip, never with the body. For the strictest protocol, recommended by DSP, consider it a single-use consumable.

Is it suitable for micropigmentation and microblading as well, or only for tattooing?▾

It is useful for both. In tattooing, you use it for pre-drawing contours, guide lines, and correcting the stencil. In micropigmentation and microblading, it is indispensable for face mapping — measuring and marking reference points for symmetrical eyebrows, lip contour, and eyeliner. The integrated ruler replaces a separate measuring tool, reducing the number of items on your workstation.

What color is the ink?▾

The exact color is not specified in the product data and may vary by batch. Generally, in this category, skin markers are often in a violet shade because it provides good contrast with black tattoo ink and wipes off easily. If you need a specific color, ask us before ordering.

Product description

Leather marker 14cm with ruler included The marker is similar to a felt-tip pen and the ink flows from the internal reservoir as the tip moves across the surface of the skin. They are CE marked and delivered in sterile packaging with a ruler. Medical Applications: Skin markers are used to apply ink directly to a patient's skin. Patient skin marking is important in a number of clinical settings and for various reasons. The 14cm Skin Marker with Included Ruler is an essential pre-drawing instrument for tattoo artists and micropigmentation specialists, combining skin marking function with precise measurement in a single compact instrument. The marker's total 14cm length is complemented by a ruler engraved or printed directly on the instrument body, allowing quick and precise measurements directly on the client's skin — distances between anatomical reference points, design element symmetry, and proportion verification. The marker tip is fine-type, with approximately 0.5-1mm line thickness, ideal for tracing contours and pre-drawing guides that need to be visible enough to guide work but thin enough not to interfere with the final design. The ink is specially formulated for skin application: clearly visible on all skin types (from very fair to very dark), resistant to accidental wiping with petroleum jelly or exudate during tattooing, yet easily removable with isopropyl alcohol or soap at the procedure's end. The formula is non-toxic, dermatologically tested, and does not penetrate deep skin layers — it remains at the epidermis surface. In micropigmentation, the ruler marker is indispensable for face mapping: measuring and marking reference points for symmetric eyebrows, lip contours, and eyeliner lines. The integrated ruler eliminates the need for a separate instrument, reducing the number of objects on the workstation and cross-contamination risk. The marker is single-use or can be disinfected between clients per studio protocol. Available on tatuat.ro with fast delivery across Romania. Frequently Asked Questions
