A black absorbent bandage, specially designed for covering fresh tattoos immediately after the session. The perforated, non-adherent plastic material with an absorbent center protects the worked area, allows the skin to breathe without drying out, and the black color discreetly masks ink and blood stains from the first hours. It is intended for tattoo artists and studios — the set of 10 pieces, each individually sterile packaged, is suitable as a working stock for independent artists or as a starter stock.
How to use
- At the end of the session, gently clean the fresh tattoo according to the studio's usual protocol.
- Apply a thin layer of healing ointment on the tattooed area.
- Remove the bandage from its individual sterile pouch just before application, using clean gloves.
- Position the bandage with the non-adherent absorbent center directly over the tattoo — the adhesive area on the edges only attaches to the surrounding healthy skin.
- For tattoos larger than 16x10 cm, slightly overlap multiple bandages to cover the entire surface.
- Instruct the client to wear the bandage for 2-4 hours, then remove it — no more than 6 hours.
- After removal, the client cleans the area with lukewarm water and neutral soap, dries by patting (not rubbing), and applies a thin layer of ointment as per the artist's instructions.
- Dispose of the used bandage — it is a single-use product.
Tips from us
- If upon removal the bandage seems to stick to the tattoo, moisten it with lukewarm water for 1-2 minutes — it will come off without pulling out ink or scabs.
- For clients with a history of reactions to adhesive tape or bandages, test the adhesive on a small area of skin about 15 minutes before applying near the tattoo.
- Recommend the client to wear loose clothing over the bandaged area — the black color is discreet under dark clothing.
- Do not apply a thick layer of ointment under the bandage — a thin layer is sufficient; excess moisture under the bandage does not help healing.
- Explain to the client, before they leave the studio, exactly when and how to remove the bandage — the 2-4 hours pass quickly and many forget verbal instructions.

Why is it black and not white, like classic bandages?▾
The black color has a practical role, not just aesthetic. Fresh tattoos release ink, blood, and exudate that visibly stain white bandages, creating an unpleasant appearance that may alarm the client. The black bandage completely masks these stains, so the client leaves the studio with a clean look, not looking like after a medical procedure. Does the bandage stick directly to the fresh tattoo?▾
