Guide & full description
Complete guide: Polyethylene roll + paper 50cmx50m
Roll of hygienic protection made of two laminated layers — absorbent paper on top and waterproof polyethylene underneath — designed for covering beds and work surfaces. The paper layer retains ink, blood, Vaseline and cleaning solutions, and the polyethylene film completely blocks liquids from reaching the mattress. It is the natural choice for tattoo and PMU studios, but also for beauty salons, massage or medical offices, wherever the work bed needs to be protected between clients.
How to use
- Mount the roll on a wall or table holder for even unrolling; if you don't have a holder, you can unroll it manually, directly on the bed.
- Unroll the material along the length of the bed, enough to cover the entire contact area with the client.
- Tear at one of the perforations placed every 38 cm or cut to the exact size you need.
- Place the foil with the paper side up, towards the client, and the polyethylene down, towards the mattress — only this way the paper absorbs and the polyethylene insulates.
- Work normally during the session; the polyethylene layer is thin and flexible, so it does not produce noise when the client moves.
- At the end, roll up the used foil with the contaminated side inward.
- Dispose of the material according to the waste management procedures of your studio, then disinfect the bed surface.
- Spread a new foil before each client — the product is strictly single-use.
Tips from us
- Calculate your stock: with an indicative consumption of 1.8–2 m per client, the 50 m roll covers approximately 25–28 sessions.
- Use the perforations every 38 cm to quickly tear straight pieces without scissors when changing the foil between clients.
- Always check the orientation of the layers before starting: if the polyethylene ends up on top, you lose both absorption and client comfort.
- For procedures where more liquid is spilled, this double-layer construction is clearly superior to simple paper — liquid does not reach the mattress.
- Store the roll in a clean, dry place, protected from splashes, so as not to compromise the paper layer before use.
- A dedicated roll holder next to the bed visibly shortens the preparation time between clients.
Frequently asked questions
What advantage does it have over a simple roll of paper?▾
It combines two functions that simple paper cannot offer together: the paper layer absorbs liquids from the surface (ink, blood, Vaseline, cleaning solutions), and the polyethylene layer underneath forms a waterproof barrier that lets nothing pass to the mattress. With simple paper, liquids can penetrate to the bed; here the mattress remains fully protected, which extends its lifespan and reduces equipment maintenance costs.
How many sessions does a 50 m roll last?▾
Approximately 25–28 full uses, if you count about 1.8–2 m of material per client for a standard work bed. For a studio with medium client volume, this usually means one to two weeks of activity with a single roll.
How do I properly dispose of the material after the session?▾
Roll up the used foil with the contaminated side inward, so that the surface that came into contact with the client and liquids remains enclosed inside the roll, then dispose of it according to your studio's waste management regulations. After contamination, the material is not recyclable. Don't forget that, separate from changing the foil, the bed is disinfected between clients.
Does it fit any work bed?▾
The 50 cm width is designed to effectively cover the central area of the bed, i.e., exactly the surface the client lies on. The material is flexible and adapts to various bed configurations: you unroll it to the needed length and tear at the perforation or cut to the desired size. If your bed is wider and you want full coverage on the edges, you can place two strips side by side.
Does the polyethylene layer make noise when the client moves?▾
No. The polyethylene film is thin and flexible, designed not to rustle annoyingly during movement, and the paper layer on top further attenuates any sound. The client essentially feels a regular paper surface, soft and neutral to the touch, without perceiving the waterproof film underneath.
Can I use the roll in other types of offices, not only for tattooing?▾
Yes. Besides tattoo and PMU studios, the product is also intended for massage and beauty salons, clinics, medical and gynecological offices — anywhere a single-use hygienic surface is needed, absorbent on top and waterproof underneath. The usage method is the same: unroll, tear to the desired size, and change the foil after each person.
