Guide & full description

Complete guide: Suprasorb F set of 10 foils 10cmx25cm for wrapping the tattoo

Suprasorb F is a transparent, self-adhesive medical film used for wrapping ("second skin") fresh tattoos. The set contains 10 pre-cut sheets of 10 × 25 cm, an elongated format suitable for elongate designs — lettering on the forearm, bands on the arm, tattoos on the shin, ribs, or collarbone. The film allows the skin to breathe but blocks water and external contaminants and maintains a moist environment that aids healing. It is intended both for artists who apply the bandage at the end of the session and for clients who continue care at home.

How to use

  1. At the end of the session, gently clean the tattooed area, wipe off excess plasma and ink, and dry it completely — the film does not adhere to wet skin.
  2. Choose a sheet that covers the entire design, with a few centimeters of healthy skin around it; the 10 × 25 cm format provides length coverage, ideal for elongated designs.
  3. Peel off the protective backing and apply the film without stretching it, smoothing from the center outward to remove air bubbles.
  4. Press the edges firmly to seal the bandage; in areas with clothing friction (ribs, waist), the edges can be reinforced with medical adhesive tape.
  5. The first sheet is usually worn for about 24 hours; being waterproof, it can be worn in the shower.
  6. Remove it by slowly pulling from a corner, parallel to the skin and in the direction of hair growth; under warm running water it comes off more easily. Then gently wash the tattoo and pat it dry.
  7. For an extended protocol, apply a second sheet on clean, dry skin and wear it for another 3–5 days.
  8. Use a new sheet for each application — the product is consumable, single-use.

Tips from us

  • Apply it only on completely dry skin; any trace of moisture weakens the adhesive and allows air to enter.
  • Do not fold the sheet to cover a wider tattoo — folds create air pockets and can irritate the skin. If the piece is wider than 10 cm, overlap two sheets with a few centimeters of overlap.
  • Leave a margin of healthy skin around the tattoo so the seal holds well.
  • A little fluid (plasma) under the sheet in the first hours is normal; if too much accumulates or the sheet lifts, remove it, clean, and apply a new one.
  • Being transparent, you can inspect the tattoo without removing the bandage.
  • Keep the sheets in their sealed individual packaging, in a dry place, until use.
Warning: Handle the sheet with clean hands, gloves, and on a disinfected surface; each sheet is single-use and must not be reused. Not intended for infected skin — if extensive redness, swelling, increasing pain, purulent discharge, or fever occur, remove the sheet and seek medical advice. If you experience intense itching, burning, or irritation under the film (possible adhesive sensitivity), remove the sheet and discontinue use. The sheet does not replace proper washing and hygiene of the tattoo.

Frequently asked questions

What kind of tattoos does a 10 × 25 cm sheet cover?

The elongated format is suitable for elongate designs: lettering and script on the forearm, bands on the arm, tattoos on the shin, ribs, or collarbone, as well as medium compact pieces. Always leave a few centimeters of healthy skin around. If the tattoo is wider than 10 cm, you need two overlapping sheets or a wider format.

Can I shower with the sheet on my tattoo?

Yes, the film is waterproof and can be worn in the shower. Avoid directing the water stream directly at the bandage and do not keep it submerged for a long time (no baths, pools, or saunas). After showering, pat the outside of the sheet dry.

How long should I keep a sheet on the tattoo?

The usual protocol is: first sheet for about 24 hours, then, after cleaning, a second sheet for 3–5 days. Some prefer a single application for 2–3 days. If a lot of fluid collects underneath or the sheet lifts, change it earlier. Always follow your artist's recommendation as well.

Is it normal for fluid to collect under the sheet?

Yes. In the first hours the tattoo releases plasma and excess ink, and a yellowish fluid can collect under the film — this is normal. It becomes a problem only if it accumulates excessively, if the sheet loses adhesion, or if signs of irritation appear; in that case, remove it, clean the area, and apply a new sheet.

How many tattoos can I care for with a set of 10 sheets?

It depends on the protocol. With the two-step protocol (one sheet initially plus one for the following days) you cover approximately 5 tattoos; with a single application per tattoo, up to 10. Each sheet is single-use.

How do I remove the sheet without discomfort?

The easiest way is to peel it off under warm running water: grab a corner and pull slowly, stretching the film parallel to the skin (not upward), in the direction of hair growth. Do not pull abruptly. Then gently wash the tattoo and pat it dry.

With a surface area of 250 cm² per sheet, this format comfortably covers elongated tattoos: forearms, shins, ribs, collarbones, and lateral trunk bands. Each sheet is individually packaged and sterile, with a silicone backing for controlled bubble-free application. The 10-micron semi-permeable polyurethane film ensures the perfect balance: allows oxygen and water vapor to pass (MVTR >800 g/m²/24h) while simultaneously blocking water, bacteria, and environmental contaminants. This selective permeability creates optimal moist healing conditions — the epidermis regenerates faster, scabbing is minimal, and colors remain saturated. The 10x25cm format is particularly valued by artists specializing in lettering, script tattoos, and elongated forearm designs, as a single sheet covers the entire design length without overlapping. The hypoallergenic medical-grade acrylate adhesive leaves no residue and does not damage fresh colors. Compared to Dermalize Pro Sheets (available in similar formats at double the price), Suprasorb F delivers the same medical quality at an accessible cost. The set of 10 sheets provides 10 complete applications or 5 full cycles (first application 24h + second 3-5 days). CE certified product, biocompatible, individually sterilized, lot traceable.
