Guide & full description

Complete guide: UNISTAR Skin Care Soaker Film Roll 15cm x 10m Tattoo Aftercare Bandage

This is a self-adhesive absorbent dressing in a 10 m x 15 cm roll format, designed to protect a fresh tattoo immediately after the session. The superabsorbent material takes up excess plasma and fluids from the first stage of healing, and the roll allows you to cut exactly the size you need. It is a practical choice for both tattoo studios and clients caring for their tattoo at home.

How to use

Wash your hands and use clean gloves; ensure the tattoo has been cleaned and the surrounding skin is dry.
Unroll the roll and cut a piece that extends a few centimeters beyond the tattoo outline on each side.
Peel off the protective layer of the adhesive side, without touching the surface that will come into contact with the skin with your fingers.
Apply the dressing over the tattoo and smooth it from the center outward to ensure even adhesion without large air bubbles.
Wear it during the first healing stage, day and night, according to your artist's recommendations; the thin, flexible material allows normal movement.
Replace it with a new piece, with clean hands, if it becomes saturated with plasma or starts to peel off.
When removing, peel it off slowly, ideally under lukewarm water in the shower, then wash the tattoo with a mild soap and continue the aftercare routine indicated by your artist.

Tips from us

Cut the required piece before application, so you don't handle the roll with the gloves you used on the client.
Leave a margin of clean, dry, cream-free skin around the tattoo — the adhesive needs direct contact with the skin to hold well.
On areas with a lot of movement, such as joints, cut a more generous piece and round the corners so the edges don't roll up.
Take advantage of the roll format: cover tattoos of any size with a single product and cut exactly what you need, without waste.
Store the roll in its packaging, in a clean, dry place, away from heat and dust, to keep the adhesive and absorbent layer in good condition.

Warning: A fresh tattoo is an open wound: apply the dressing only with washed hands or clean gloves, on pre-cleaned skin. Never reuse a piece that has already been worn. If intense redness, severe itching, irritation in the adhesive area, or signs of infection occur, remove the dressing and seek advice from your artist or a doctor. If you know you have sensitive skin to adhesives, first test a small piece on an untattooed area.

Frequently asked questions

How does this dressing differ from the transparent 'second skin' type film?▾

Soaker Film is specifically designed to absorb the excess plasma and fluids that the skin releases during the initial healing phase, whereas classic transparent films tend to seal the area. That is why it is intended for the first hours after the session, when the tattoo secretes the most, reducing discomfort and protecting against friction with clothing.

How long do I keep the dressing on the tattoo?▾

It is intended for the first stage of healing, immediately after tattooing, and can be worn both day and night. The exact duration is determined by your artist based on the tattoo and how much exudate the skin releases; if the dressing becomes saturated or starts to peel off, replace it with a new piece.

Can I sleep with it on my skin?▾

Yes, the product description explicitly mentions wearing it both day and night. The thin, flexible material is comfortable during sleep and protects the tattoo from friction with bedding.

How do I remove it correctly and what do I do after?▾

Wash your hands, then gently peel it off at a low angle to the skin — it is easiest under lukewarm water in the shower, where the adhesive gives way more easily. After removal, wash the tattoo with a mild soap, pat it dry, and continue the aftercare recommended by your artist. The used piece should be discarded, not reapplied.

Do I need a bandage or anything else to secure it?▾

No. The dressing is self-adhesive and does not require bandages or additional fixing systems. The condition is to apply it to clean, dry skin, with a margin of a few centimeters around the tattoo so the adhesive has something to stick to.

Is the roll format worth it for personal use, or is it only for studios?▾

It is suitable for both. The 10 m x 15 cm roll is an economical format designed primarily for professional use, but it works just as well at home: you cut only what you need for each dressing change, and the rest remains protected in the packaging for future tattoos.
