Guide & full description
Complete guide: 16 Pieces Piercing Tool KIT
A complete set of 16 professional piercing instruments, made from surgical stainless steel: straight and curved hemostatic scissors in various sizes, Pennington and Forester tissue forceps, ring opening and closing pliers, and fine-tip tweezers for handling small jewelry. Everything comes organized in a black zippered case with padded interior and individual compartments secured with elastic bands. It is designed for professional piercers setting up their studio from scratch, as well as for mobile artists who need the entire tool kit in one compact bag.
How to use
- Before first use, clean and sterilize all 16 instruments in an autoclave — new pieces are never used directly from the case.
- For each client, prepare only the instruments needed for the procedure, pre-sterilized and kept sealed until use.
- Use the grasping forceps (Pennington, Forester) to hold the tissue during piercing; the ratchet locking mechanism keeps the instrument in the desired position without needing constant hand pressure.
- When setting the jewelry, use the dedicated pliers for opening and closing rings, and for small pieces — the fine-tip tweezers.
- After the procedure, clean the instruments with water and enzymatic detergent to completely remove residues.
- Sterilize the instruments in an autoclave and let them dry completely before storage.
- Periodically lubricate the joints with special surgical instrument lubricant and store the set in the compartment case in a dry place.
Tips from us
- Keep each instrument in its own compartment, secured with the elastic band — you instantly find the piece you need and avoid tips hitting each other.
- Visually inspect the instruments before each session: joints should move smoothly, the ratchet should lock firmly, and tips should be aligned. Remove any damaged piece from use.
- Sterilize the instruments in indicator pouches so they remain sterile until use, not just when leaving the autoclave.
- Never close damp instruments in the case — dry them completely, otherwise you risk stains and corrosion even on stainless steel.
- If you work mobile, the padded interior of the case protects the instruments during transport, but check after each trip that the elastic bands keep the pieces secure.
Frequently asked questions
What instruments exactly do I receive in this set?▾
The set contains 16 different pieces: straight and curved hemostatic scissors in multiple sizes, tissue forceps (Pennington and Forester), pliers for opening and closing piercing rings, and fine-tip tweezers for handling small jewelry. Each instrument has a ratchet locking mechanism that securely holds it in the desired position. Everything comes organized in a black zippered case, with each piece secured in its own compartment with an elastic band.
How do I properly sterilize and maintain the instruments?▾
After each use, clean the instruments with water and enzymatic detergent, then sterilize them in an autoclave — surgical stainless steel is compatible with this type of sterilization, which is the standard in professional piercing studios. Periodically lubricate the joints with surgical instrument lubricant to keep the mechanisms smooth, and store the set in the provided case in a dry place. Replace any damaged instrument. Important: sterilize the instruments also before first use, not just between clients.
Does the kit also include piercing needles or jewelry?▾
No. The set contains exclusively reusable instruments — scissors, forceps, and pliers. Piercing needles are single-use consumables and must be purchased separately, as well as jewelry, which is chosen according to the type of piercing. Essentially, the kit covers the 'permanent' part of your equipment, to which you add sterile consumables for each client.
I am a beginner in piercing — can I work with this kit?▾
The kit is intended for professionally trained piercers. Even though it covers the necessary tools for several types of procedures, performing piercings requires training, knowledge of anatomy, and rigorous hygiene — use without such training is not recommended. If you are a beginner, use the set as part of a course or apprenticeship under the supervision of an experienced piercer, not on your own.
What types of piercing are the instruments designed for?▾
The variety of instruments covers practically all common types of piercing: ear (lobe, helix, tragus, industrial), nose, eyebrow, tongue, lip, navel, and other areas. The grasping forceps hold the tissue during piercing, and the ring pliers are essential for mounting and removing circular jewelry, such as captive bead rings and segment rings.
Do the instruments rust over time?▾
No, if you maintain them correctly. They are made from surgical stainless steel, resistant to corrosion and rust. Problems almost always arise from improper maintenance: storage with residual moisture or careless cleaning. Dry the instruments completely after sterilization, keep them in the case in a dry place, and lubricate the joints periodically — this way they maintain their quality and appearance long-term.
